Normally, once the Second Prince's Personal Guards were told that a Nen Ability had attached itself to her, and that she was even under surveillance, they should have taken special measures to pass the information to her without being discovered.
During that process, they would also need to investigate exactly what the attached Nen Ability did.
Or, more directly, they could find an Exorcism Master to perform Exorcism on the Second Prince.
The information Joey had provided was not intended to lead the Second Prince toward the realization that they knew there was an Exorcism Master among her Personal Guards, but something had clearly gone wrong with that plan.
Joey had still underestimated how sensitive the Second Prince was about Exorcism Masters!
As a result, Joey's actions had drawn the Second Prince's attention and prompted her to make further connections.
Joey rubbed his chin. From the way things looked, if this operation was a test, then the Second Prince was probably testing whether he had known about the curse ability from the start, and whether he knew she was behind all of this.
In other words, the Second Prince had concluded that Joey knew most of Room 2's information!
That made the current situation clearer.
The Second Prince had probably also concluded that there was no Exorcism Master in Room 12. After all, if there were one, everything she had done would have been in vain.
The person responsible for cursing the Twelfth Prince would have sacrificed their life for nothing.
As things stood, with the Twelfth Prince cursed, finding an Exorcism Master was the only way to save her.
And where was there an Exorcism Master?
In Room 2!
In other words, if Joey wanted to save the Twelfth Prince, he would have to bow to the Second Prince.
