Chapter 328: One more time × That's it? × A piece of skin!
Ging had already set everything up for Joey. If Bites the Dust still failed to activate, that would be Joey's own problem.
Fortunately, Bites the Dust activated, silently turning time back another hour.
Once again, Joey was standing in line to board the Cruise Ship. He had worked out the whole sequence of events, but he had no authority to order the Kent Family around, so he still needed some help.
He knew perfectly well who could help him.
Because that person would soon appear before him.
Joey simply watched the time and waited, and Ging appeared before him just as he had hoped.
Unlike their last meeting, however, Ging now had only one wound on his arm, with blood still gradually beading along it. Clearly, Joey's decision to cancel his ability and activate it again had also reset Ging's investigation of his ability.
"You activated your ability." He got straight to the point, just as he had several times before.
Joey nodded again. "Yes."
"You aren't surprised to see me?" Ging frowned slightly. "So this isn't your first time using it?"
Somewhat surprised, Ging glanced at the wound on his arm.
He had great confidence in the ability he had placed on himself to detect the passage of time, but apparently it was not as all-purpose as he had imagined.
"That doesn't matter. What matters is what we need to do now." Joey did not elaborate on Ging's question.
Still, his attitude more or less confirmed Ging's suggestion.
Time had reset. To fully understand Joey's ability, Ging would need more information to draw his conclusions.
Joey acknowledged Ging's skill, because the instant Ging appeared before him, he had considered attacking him.
