Arc 3The Bat Tribe and the Peach Immortals

Li Xia and Inuyasha gained new strength while confronting the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe, whose conflict left Shizu and Shiori without their family or village. After Naraku began rebuilding his power, the group encountered Peach Immortal and his treacherous disciple, leaving their fight unresolved.

  • The Dog General trained Inuyasha and passed on his inheritance before his lingering soul dissipated, while Li Xia grew stronger by fighting demons in the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal’s wine vat.
  • Li Xia and Inuyasha returned to Kagome’s village, where Li Xia killed a poison flood dragon and made its body his first shikigami, then contracted with the Sacred Tree Mask.
  • After Inuyasha clashed with Sesshomaru, Li Xia led the group to the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe, where they learned Tsukuyomaru’s father Ōgamaru had killed him.
  • Li Xia and Inuyasha defeated Ōgamaru, Tessaiga absorbed Tsukuyomaru’s demon power and gained the ability to break barriers, and the group collected the tribe’s treasures.
  • Shizu and Shiori left the Fishing Village with Li Xia’s group after villagers mistreated and drove them out, but Li Xia stopped his companions from intervening when the surviving bats attacked the village.
  • Naraku absorbed a composite demon to restore his power, while Kikyo sensed his evil aura and Sesshomaru realized Naraku’s weakness had begun to pass.
  • Li Xia’s group found Peach Immortal’s mountain hideout and ambushed him, but Peach Fruit Man turned on his master and attacked the group after revealing his own plans for the Shikon Shard.
  • Peach Fruit Man shrank Miroku and aimed the Treasure Gourd at him, but Li Xia teleported behind Peach Fruit Man and stabbed him with the Lightning Spear Butt.
Chapters 51–76 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 51The Dog General's Lingering Soul!

Inside the wine vat, the Dog General explained why he had died before Inuyasha could know him and laid out the trials meant to help his son master Tessaiga. As the Dog General began teaching him, Inuyasha revealed that the person he had wanted to protect had died fifty years earlier.

  • Inuyasha punched the Dog General, who recognized his son's sorrow and apologized for leaving him and Izayoi without support.
  • The Dog General explained how he had fought Ryūkotsusei, rescued Inuyasha and Izayoi, and died after Sōunga drained his remaining strength.
  • The Dog General warned Inuyasha that he was not ready to face Ryūkotsusei and said he needed to master the Wind Scar and Backlash Wave.
  • The Dog General described the trials for Tessaiga, including restoring its demon power, and said Inuyasha would eventually need to sever Tenseiga.
  • The Dog General began teaching Inuyasha to fight before his lingering soul dissipated, but Inuyasha said the person he wanted to protect had died fifty years earlier.

Ch. 52I want to look after you in your old age-I want to improve so badly!

Li Xia watched the Dog General train Inuyasha and resolved to grow stronger so he could protect his descendants. After Inuyasha learned from his father for more than ten days, the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal offered Li Xia a chance to train, leaving him facing a mysterious spear-wielding figure in a poisonous wine vat.

  • Li Xia envied Inuyasha’s chance to receive personal instruction from the Dog General, then vowed to improve himself for the sake of his descendants.
  • The Dog General taught Inuyasha swordsmanship, combat tactics, blood-claw techniques, and the need to learn cloud-riding; he asked the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal to find Inuyasha a suitable flying technique.
  • Inuyasha safely passed his second new moon night, and the Dog General taught him human self-defense and training methods for his human form.
  • The Medicine Elder Poison Immortal noticed Li Xia wanted to grow stronger and invited him to enter a medicinal wine vat.
  • Li Xia jumped into the vat, and the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal placed a Broken Spearhead in a poisonous vat, where a middle-aged man holding a Steel-Tipped Spear appeared before Li Xia.

Ch. 53Inuyasha and Li Xia's strength soared!

Li Xia trained in the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal’s wine world, strengthening his soul and spear skills while Inuyasha received the Dog General’s legacy. The Dog General’s remnant soul finally faded after saying goodbye to Inuyasha, leaving behind a grieving little white Shiba Inu.

  • The Medicine Elder Poison Immortal explained that Tengetsumaru’s attacks had tempered Li Xia’s soul rather than injured it, and Li Xia returned to the wine vat to keep training.
  • Over the next several days, Li Xia repeatedly fought Tengetsumaru and other demons, gradually improving his combat skills as the Great Katsura Tree Mask quietly absorbed the wine’s energy.
  • At Demon Slayer Village, Kagome finished training and thought about missing Li Xia and Inuyasha.
  • On the fourteenth day, the Dog General gave Inuyasha final words of encouragement before his remnant soul scattered.
  • The little white Shiba Inu tried to reach the Dog General’s fading phantom and whimpered, “Dad...”

Ch. 54The sorrow of parting

After the Dog General’s final guidance strengthened Inuyasha and Tessaiga, Li Xia and Inuyasha left the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal with supplies and a Shikon Shard. They rode toward home, wary of hidden efforts to collect the shards and of an approaching storm.

  • Inuyasha accepted his father’s inheritance, and Tessaiga gained the immortal poison power as its new form.
  • Li Xia received gourds of Spirit Spring water and poisonous wine from the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal, then warned him that someone might be secretly collecting Shikon Shards.
  • The Medicine Elder Poison Immortal rejected Li Xia’s attempt to leave him the Shikon Shard, so Li Xia sealed it in a box and left it behind.
  • Inuyasha learned the Cloud-Riding Technique, and Li Xia explained that the shard could serve as a safeguard before warning him to treat elders with more respect.
  • Li Xia and Inuyasha spotted heavy rain and thunder ahead and decided to take another route.

Ch. 55Subduing the dragon

Li Xia fought and killed a juvenile poison flood dragon at Poison Dragon Pool, then used his Great Katsura Tree Mask and a Shikon Shard to take possession of its body. The dragon rose again under his shikigami’s control as Inuyasha watched in astonishment.

  • Inuyasha offered to cover Li Xia while he tested himself against the poison flood dragon, and Li Xia accepted the fight.
  • Li Xia equipped his Great Katsura Tree Mask, Enhancement Talismans, and Wind-Fire Wheel before charging the juvenile dragon.
  • Li Xia found that the dragon resisted his fire and lightning attacks, but its poison could not harm him; he also noticed that one Wind-Fire Wheel made aerial combat difficult.
  • Li Xia threw his Fire-Tipped Spear into the dragon’s open mouth, killing it, then used Evil-Repelling Talismans to destroy its demon soul.
  • Li Xia ordered the Great Katsura Tree Mask to take possession of the dragon’s body and used a Shikon Shard to help repair it.
  • The dragon’s body rose and roared under the mask’s control, leaving Inuyasha stunned.

Ch. 56Back to the village!

Inuyasha and Li Xia returned to the Demon Slayer Village, where Kagome and the others welcomed them and shared their progress. After distributing Immortal Poison Wine and reviewing the group’s improvements, Li Xia planned to relocate the villagers and regroup in Kaede’s Village to form a contract with his second mask shikigami.

  • Kagome spotted Inuyasha and Li Xia approaching on a cloud and welcomed them back with the village children.
  • Li Xia praised Kagome’s improved archery after Sango reported that she could hit distant targets and had begun practicing on moving ones.
  • Li Xia gave Miroku Immortal Poison Wine to help with his Wind Tunnel poisoning and told Kagome, Shippo, Sango, Kirara, and Aba to drink it for poison resistance.
  • The group’s abilities improved during the half-month of recovery, and Li Xia gained a poison flood dragon mount as his first shikigami.
  • Li Xia proposed moving the village southwest toward the coast and told Sango to meet the group in Kaede’s Village after settling everyone.

Ch. 57Contracting a Second Shikigami

Li Xia awakened a consciousness in the Sacred Tree by embedding a purified Shikon Shard in a face carved into its trunk, then invited the Sacred Tree Spirit to become his second Shikigami. The Sacred Tree Spirit considered the offer after Kagome and Inuyasha appealed to it, and Li Xia prepared to perform the contracting ritual, but an unexpected event interrupted him.

  • Li Xia gathered thirteen Shikon Shards and carved a face resembling his own into the Sacred Tree.
  • Li Xia embedded a purified Shikon Shard in the carved face, awakening the Sacred Tree Spirit.
  • The Sacred Tree Spirit thanked Li Xia for granting it an independent consciousness and asked why he had awakened it.
  • Li Xia invited the Sacred Tree Spirit to leave its trunk and become his Shikigami, while Kagome and Inuyasha urged it to join them.
  • Li Xia prepared the contracting ritual, but something unexpected happened before he could complete it.

Ch. 58One weeping, one smiling: the Sacred Tree Mask!

Li Xia rejected the Sengoku Sacred Tree Spirit’s attempt to choose Inuyasha and instead secured a contract with the older Sacred Tree at Kagome’s shrine. He fused the two trees’ past and future, completed the ritual, and gained a pair of powerful Sacred Tree Masks.

  • The Sengoku Sacred Tree Spirit asked to contract with Inuyasha, but Li Xia refused to hand over his family’s Contracting Formula and threatened to subdue her if she kept driving a wedge between his companions.
  • Kagome returned Li Xia’s offered Spirit-Sealing Talismans, and Li Xia removed the Shikon Shard from the Sengoku tree before the group traveled through the Bone-Eater’s Well.
  • At the Sunset Shrine, the older Sacred Tree recognized Kagome from childhood and agreed to become Li Xia’s Shikigami, asking him to protect Kagome.
  • Li Xia brought the future Sacred Tree Mask back to the Sengoku Era and placed it on the past tree, telling it to absorb the other tree’s power so their past and future would become one.
  • Li Xia completed the contracting ritual and received a purple-and-gold card for his second Shikigami, the Sacred Tree Mask, which appeared as two masks, one smiling and one weeping.

Ch. 59Evolution paths of the two great Shikigami!

Li Xia considered how the Great Katsura Tree Mask and the two Sacred Tree Masks could evolve by absorbing the Poison Flood Dragon, Ryūkotsusei, and the Complete Tree of Ages. While the others resumed their routines, he continued making Spirit Fluid, practicing talisman drawing, and rapidly advancing his cultivation.

  • Li Xia reviewed the abilities of the Great Katsura Tree Mask and the two Sacred Tree Masks, which each granted him powerful skills and three-and-a-half to four stars of Demon Power.
  • Li Xia reasoned that the Sacred Tree Spirit beside the Bone-Eater's Well had been shaped by Kikyo and Inuyasha's powers, the Shikon Jewel, and the Complete Tree of Ages.
  • Li Xia planned to help the Sacred Tree Spirit from Kagome's home seize the Complete Tree of Ages from Manganomaru when the Flying Demon Moth emerged.
  • Li Xia planned to have the Great Katsura Tree Mask absorb the Poison Flood Dragon and later feed it flesh from Ryūkotsusei to help it evolve.
  • While Sango and Aba helped escort Sango's clanspeople, Kagome returned to school and Inuyasha trained with Tessaiga and searched for Kikyo.
  • Li Xia prepared Spirit Fluid, practiced drawing talismans, and continued raising his cultivation after two months in the world.

Ch. 60Li Xia's cultivation talent, and Sesshomaru's own path!

Li Xia learned that the Warring States Demon World had awakened his above-average cultivation talent, while Sesshomaru tested a newly forged sword against Inuyasha and escaped the Wind Scar. Li Xia proposed finding a barrier-wielding demon so Tessaiga could gain the power to break barriers, and the group prepared to head west to the Hundred Demon Bats' Nest.

  • Over two months, Li Xia advanced close to Qi Refining to Spirit Transformation through his awakened talent, spirit resources, Immortal Wine, and battles in the Wine Vat World.
  • Li Xia sensed Inuyasha using the Wind Scar and rushed with Miroku, Kaede, Shippo, and the others to find him badly wounded after a clash with Sesshomaru.
  • Inuyasha explained that Sesshomaru had tested a newly forged demon sword against him, and that the Wind Scar broke the sword but seemed not to hit Sesshomaru.
  • Li Xia concluded that Tenseiga had likely protected Sesshomaru and urged Myōga to help them find a demon whose blood could give Tessaiga the ability to break barriers.
  • Two days later, Inuyasha told Li Xia that Sango had returned and Kagome had arrived, and the group prepared to travel west to the Hundred Demon Bats' Nest.

Ch. 61Myōga's worries, the charm of a deck of cards!

Myōga explained the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s barrier and its changing relationship with humans as the group traveled to the Western Sea. They met Tsukuyomaru in a fishing village and began playing cards with him, while tensions between him and his father Ōgamaru simmered within the tribe.

  • Myōga told Inuyasha and the others that Tessaiga could grow stronger by absorbing the blood of the tribe’s barrier guardian, while privately hoping Inuyasha would not kill the now-peaceful demons.
  • The chapter revealed that Ōgamaru and his son Tsukuyomaru were clashing over Tsukuyomaru’s efforts to protect the human fishing village where his wife Shizu and daughter Shiori lived.
  • Li Xia used Myōga to guide the group toward the tribe and considered how changes to the original events could affect Shiori’s future.
  • Kagome repeatedly defeated Miroku and Li Xia at Fight the Landlord during the journey, while Inuyasha watched and struggled with the game.
  • The group reached the fishing village, met Tsukuyomaru, and invited him to play cards inside his house.

Ch. 62Inuyasha's choice!

Inuyasha and his companions visited Tsukuyomaru’s home, where Li Xia learned that their search for barrier-breaking power could put the young lord’s family at risk. Inuyasha chose to abandon that goal and leave the next morning rather than kill Tsukuyomaru and leave Shiori without her father.

  • Tsukuyomaru observed Inuyasha and Li Xia’s group before joining them for a game of Fight the Landlord.
  • Shiori brought wild fruit to the guests, and Li Xia gave her chocolate.
  • Tsukuyomaru asked why Inuyasha and his companions had come, and Inuyasha openly explained their search for a demon whose power could help Tessaiga break barriers.
  • After Shizu left the room, Inuyasha told his companions they would leave the next morning instead of killing Tsukuyomaru for his power.
  • Inuyasha said he would not destroy Shiori’s family for his own strength and believed Tsukuyomaru was not evil.

Ch. 63A Bunch of "Dad-Doomers"!

Li Xia warned Tsukuyomaru that his efforts to protect Shiori and the fishing village could drive his tribe and father against him. Tsukuyomaru realized Li Xia had guessed his plan to use his Barrier Guardian status as leverage, while the group set out to hunt more evil yokai.

  • Tsukuyomaru understood Inuyasha’s painful childhood and grew more favorable toward him and his companions.
  • Li Xia seasoned the seafood meal, and Tsukuyomaru enjoyed the modern condiments.
  • The group prepared to return the next day and search for more evil yokai.
  • Li Xia privately warned Tsukuyomaru that his protection of the villagers was widening the rift between him and the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe.
  • Tsukuyomaru was stunned when Li Xia cautioned him not to threaten his father and tribe with his Barrier Guardian status.

Ch. 64Conflict!

Li Xia, Inuyasha, and Miroku watched the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s lair from a hidden hill while Tsukuyomaru confronted Ōgamaru over protecting the fishing village and his daughter. As Ōgamaru attacked his son, the tribe’s Never-Extinguishing Light dimmed, and Li Xia urged the others to rush over and save Tsukuyomaru.

  • Li Xia persuaded the group to stay nearby and secretly observe the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s lair from across the valley.
  • Li Xia explained that the tribe’s inherited jewel powered its barrier, and Myōga identified its glow as the Never-Extinguishing Light.
  • Tsukuyomaru pleaded with Ōgamaru to stop the tribe from attacking humans and to protect the fishing village for Shizu and Shiori.
  • Ōgamaru rejected Tsukuyomaru’s plea and disparaged Shiori as a half-demon, so Tsukuyomaru threatened to abandon his role as barrier guardian and leave with his family.
  • As Tsukuyomaru turned away, Ōgamaru attacked him, and the Never-Extinguishing Light abruptly dimmed.
  • Li Xia told Inuyasha and Miroku to hurry to the lair and save Tsukuyomaru.

Ch. 65A father and daughter's gifts, a sudden counterstrike

Li Xia and his companions found the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s barrier extinguished and realized Ōgamaru had likely killed Tsukuyomaru. They rushed to confront Ōgamaru, leaving the rescue of Shiori and her mother and the group’s safety to their companions.

  • Li Xia hoped Tsukuyomaru had survived, judging him a powerful demon and a valuable potential ally along with his gifted daughter, Shiori.
  • Li Xia, Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Kagome, and the others reached the strait and found the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s barrier gone.
  • Li Xia ordered Sango to fetch Shiori and her mother, told Shippo and Aba to lead Kagome and Miroku away, and set out with Inuyasha to investigate.
  • Li Xia told the group that Tsukuyomaru had likely been murdered and that the creature inside the lair was probably his killer.
  • Ōgamaru noticed Li Xia and Inuyasha approaching, then realized the tribe’s barrier was down because Tsukuyomaru was dead.
  • Inuyasha saw Tsukuyomaru’s battered remains beside Ōgamaru and demanded to know why the demon had killed his own companion.

Ch. 66Half-demon, half-demon

Inuyasha and Li Xia attacked Ōgamaru, whose ultrasonic blasts and rage had left the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe without its protective barrier. Inuyasha’s Wind Scar badly wounded Ōgamaru and devastated the cavern, but the Blood Jade Sango shielded him from Inuyasha’s follow-up strike as Li Xia urged them to attack before he mastered the relic.

  • Ōgamaru attacked Inuyasha with ultrasonic rings of demon power, but Inuyasha’s Wind Scar tore through them and struck the cavern.
  • Wind Scar wounded Ōgamaru and collapsed parts of the cavern, killing and injuring many members of the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe.
  • Ōgamaru charged Inuyasha, and Li Xia struck him with lightning from the Fire-Tipped Spear.
  • Inuyasha leapt in to attack Ōgamaru, but the Blood Jade Sango formed a barrier that blocked Tessaiga.
  • Myōga explained the relic’s power, and Li Xia urged Inuyasha to target Ōgamaru’s exposed wings before he mastered it.

Ch. 67Teleportation!

Li Xia and Inuyasha battled Ōgamaru as the Blood-Red Sango Jewel strengthened his defenses, until Li Xia used teleportation and a coordinated weapon swap to sever the arm holding the jewel. Ōgamaru was left injured and facing Inuyasha’s Wind Scar as the fight continued.

  • Ōgamaru used the Blood-Red Sango Jewel’s barrier to block the attackers’ blows while its power continued to grow.
  • Sango arrived with Shizu and Shiori, and Ōgamaru admitted that he had killed and eaten Tsukuyomaru; Shizu fainted, and Shiori recognized her father’s corpse.
  • Li Xia fired a giant Thunder Ball at the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s nest, then teleported away as Ōgamaru moved to block it, leaving the old demon paralyzed by stray lightning.
  • Li Xia and Inuyasha exchanged weapons, and Li Xia used teleportation and Tessaiga to sever Ōgamaru’s arm holding the Blood-Red Sango Jewel.
  • Inuyasha recovered Tessaiga and unleashed the Wind Scar at the injured Ōgamaru.

Ch. 68Pink Tessaiga!

After Ōgamaru and Tsukuyomaru died, Li Xia’s group gathered the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe’s treasures and prepared to leave the cavern. Tessaiga absorbed Tsukuyomaru’s demon power and turned pink, gaining the ability to break barriers, before Inuyasha collapsed the cavern as a burial place.

  • Tessaiga killed Ōgamaru, and Li Xia’s companions checked on the exhausted Li Xia while Shizu and Shiori mourned Tsukuyomaru.
  • Li Xia’s group drove the Hundred Demons Bats from the cavern and collected the tribe’s treasures, including a spirit spring and a pool of Thousand-Year Spirit Milk.
  • Li Xia made Tessaiga absorb Tsukuyomaru’s demon power, causing its blade to turn pink.
  • Miroku tested Pink Tessaiga against his barrier, and one slash shattered it.
  • Li Xia sealed the Blood Jade Sango and protected the spirit spring before Inuyasha buried the cavern with a Wind Scar.

Ch. 69The combat power system of the Inuyasha world

The chapter outlined a peak-strength ranking system for demons and spiritual power in the Inuyasha world, emphasizing that demon power was only one factor in combat. It ended by describing the Shikon Jewel’s hidden way of growing stronger by trapping wish-makers inside it.

  • The author ranked fodder, lesser, intermediate, and greater demons by demon power, comparing characters such as Shippo, Inuyasha, Kōga, and Naraku.
  • The author placed great demons and demon kings in higher tiers, noting that abilities and physical traits could let some fighters defeat stronger opponents.
  • The author ranked Dog General and heavenly immortals and Buddhas at seven stars, while explaining that combat strength also depended on attributes beyond demon power.
  • The author estimated the spiritual power of Kikyo, Hakushin, and Midoriko, and rated the Shikon Jewel among the strongest treasures.
  • The author explained that the Shikon Jewel tricked wish-makers into making the wrong wish so it could trap them and grow stronger.

Ch. 71Li Xia's intervention!

Li Xia waited near the Fishing Village, expecting its people to reject Shiori and her mother once Tsukuyomaru was gone. After the villagers drove them out, Li Xia’s group took them toward Kaede's Village, but surviving Hundred Demons Bats attacked the Fishing Village that night.

  • Li Xia persuaded the others to stay near the Fishing Village for five days and watch over Shiori and her mother.
  • On the third day, village children mocked and bullied Shiori, and she hid her injuries from Shizu.
  • On the fourth day, villagers falsely accused Shiori of hurting Atai and drove her and Shizu away; they accepted Li Xia’s offer to take them to Kaede's Village.
  • As Li Xia’s group left, the villagers showed hostility toward Inuyasha, Kagome, Kirara, and Aba for associating with demons.
  • That night, Inuyasha spotted surviving Hundred Demons Bats attacking the Fishing Village, but Li Xia stopped the group from rushing to help.

Ch. 72Shizu repaid cruelty with kindness!

Li Xia argued that the fishing villagers deserved no help after they drove out Shizu and Shiori, but Shizu pleaded for their rescue and Kagome went to help. By the time Li Xia and the others arrived, the Hundred Demons Bat Tribe had slaughtered everyone, and Li Xia apologized to his companions for forcing his views on them.

  • Li Xia tried to stop Inuyasha, Sango, and the others from saving the fishing village, arguing that its villagers had mistreated Shizu and Shiori and that rescuing them might mean killing Shiori's bat kin.
  • Shizu begged the group to save the villagers, and Kagome rode Kirara toward the village despite Li Xia's objections.
  • Li Xia released his hold on Inuyasha and Sango and followed Kagome with the others on the Poison Flood Dragon.
  • The Hundred Demons Bat Tribe raided the village, killing its residents in revenge for their treatment of Shiori and her mother.
  • Li Xia and his companions arrived to find no survivors, then watched the fire in silence as several of them resented his earlier interference.
  • Li Xia admitted he had acted rashly and promised not to force his personal views on his companions again.

Ch. 73Naraku's scent!

Naraku absorbed a powerful composite demon and prepared for his coming period of weakness, weakening the barrier around his castle. Kikyo and Sesshomaru sensed his evil presence, while Sesshomaru traveled with Rin and wondered why Tenseiga had made him save her.

  • Naraku watched a Giant Poison Scorpion composite demon defeat and devour three opponents in the underground Gu-Refining Grounds.
  • The composite demon tried to escape, but Naraku subdued and absorbed it, increasing his demon power.
  • Naraku planned to use Shikon Shards to strengthen his body and create more capable helpers as his barrier weakened.
  • Kikyo sensed Naraku's powerful evil aura near Musashi Province after caring for wounded deserters at an abandoned shrine.
  • Sesshomaru recognized Naraku's scent and deduced that Naraku's period of weakness had begun.
  • Rin teased Sesshomaru as he pondered why Tenseiga had once urged him to save her.

Ch. 74So many human-faced fruits!

Li Xia and his companions discovered a Human-Faced Fruit Tree near a Shikon Shard and realized that an unknown being had been supplying it with human victims. Suspecting they were approaching an Immortal, Li Xia arranged an ambush as the group prepared to attack the stone houses.

  • Li Xia’s group changed course around a thunderstorm, then followed Kagome’s detection of a Shikon Shard toward a misty mountain where Inuyasha sensed the scent of the dead.
  • The group found a tree laden with human-faced fruits, and Grandpa Myoga explained that the demonic tree fed on human bones and produced fruit used to make healing, life-prolonging wine.
  • Myoga noticed that the remote forest showed no trace of demonic energy, leading Inuyasha, Li Xia, and Myoga to suspect a being other than a demon was behind the tree.
  • Kagome located the Shikon Shard inside stone houses, and Li Xia stopped Inuyasha from charging in before the group could prepare.
  • Li Xia sent Shiori, her mother, and Shippo farther away, assigned Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and Inuyasha their positions, and prepared to ambush the suspected Immortal.

Ch. 75An immortal's methods!

Li Xia and his companions confronted Peach Immortal, who used his Immortal Artifacts to shrink and nearly capture Inuyasha before the group fought back. Li Xia pinned Peach Immortal to the stone house with the Lightning Spear Butt, but Peach Fruit Man emerged and took up the Green Wisteria Staff.

  • Li Xia distributed Enhancement Talismans, and Shippo lured Peach Immortal out of the stone house.
  • Inuyasha and Li Xia attacked Peach Immortal, but Peach Immortal countered them with his Green Wisteria Staff and Treasure Gourd, shrinking Inuyasha and pulling him toward the gourd.
  • Miroku opened his Wind Tunnel to delay the gourd, while Sango and Kagome joined the attack with Hiraikotsu and a Sacred Arrow.
  • Li Xia knocked the Green Wisteria Staff away and drove the Lightning Spear Butt through Peach Immortal's shoulder, pinning him to the stone wall.
  • Peach Fruit Man emerged from the stone house, picked up the Green Wisteria Staff, and moved to help Peach Immortal.

Ch. 76A loving master and a filial disciple!

The Peach Fruit Man revealed that he had secretly studied immortal arts and turned on the Peach Immortal to pursue immortality. He used his stolen artifacts and Shikon Shard to attack the group, leaving Miroku in mortal danger as Li Xia struck from behind.

  • The Peach Fruit Man accused the Peach Immortal of hiding Human-Faced Fruit and planning to use him as fertilizer, then hacked off the old immortal’s limbs and took his Treasure Gourd.
  • The Peach Fruit Man admitted he had secretly read his master’s notes and practiced immortal arts for years, then forced medicinal wine on the Peach Immortal to heal his wounds.
  • Kagome warned the group that the Peach Fruit Man carried a Shikon Shard at his navel, and he tried to recruit her as his woman and shard-finder.
  • Li Xia and the others attacked, but the Peach Fruit Man’s soft body deflected Sango’s Hiraikotsu, and he shrank Miroku with his immortal arts.
  • The Peach Fruit Man aimed the Treasure Gourd at tiny Miroku, but Li Xia teleported behind him and stabbed him with the Lightning Spear Butt.
