Arc 4Tsubaki’s Curse and Tessaiga

Li Xia gathered resources, confronted Naraku’s schemes, and helped the group survive Tsubaki’s curse on Kagome. After Tsubaki’s defeat, Li Xia gave Sesshomaru his arm so he could wield Tessaiga as Naraku’s demon army approached.

  • Li Xia defeated Peach Fruit Man, recovered the Immortal cultivation texts, and later returned to the Li Family to obtain talismans, Spirit Shrines, and other resources.
  • Kikyo gave Naraku Shikon Shards and took Kagome’s shards, while Naraku’s forces trapped Inuyasha in an illusion and later stole and broke Tessaiga.
  • Li Xia helped the group recover, defeated the fake Water God, and joined Inuyasha in having Totosai reforge Tessaiga, which Inuyasha initially could not lift.
  • Tsubaki cursed Kagome with her Shikon Shards and forced her to seal Inuyasha, but Kagome resisted, escaped through the Bone-Eater’s Well, and severed Tsubaki’s control.
  • Li Xia destroyed Tsubaki’s barrier and killed her, recovering two large Shikon Shards as Kagome’s own spiritual power purified the shards in her body.
  • Li Xia carried the weakened Kagome to the modern world, then met Sesshomaru and offered him his left arm so he could wield Tessaiga.
  • Naraku’s army approached with Kagura, and Sesshomaru grasped Tessaiga without rejection, transforming it into a golden-aura cleaver.
Chapters 77–101 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 77An unexpected Wind Scar!

Li Xia and his companions fought Peach Fruit Man, whose strength and thorny vine whip overwhelmed the group even after Inuyasha wounded him. Li Xia seized Tessaiga and unleashed a five-rift Wind Scar, leaving Peach Fruit Man’s fate unresolved as the attack tore through the cliffside.

  • Li Xia paralyzed Peach Fruit Man with a point-blank Thunder Leopard, and Inuyasha wounded him with Tessaiga but failed to kill him.
  • Peach Fruit Man healed himself with the Peach Immortal’s flesh and medicinal liquor, then used his thorny vine whip to bind Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, and Kagome.
  • Kagome’s Sacred Arrow failed to stop the vine whip, but Sango struck Peach Fruit Man’s eye with a poisoned needle.
  • Li Xia returned to the fight, took Tessaiga from the feigning Inuyasha, and slashed Peach Fruit Man while he removed the needle from his eye.
  • Li Xia unleashed a five-rift Wind Scar, blasting apart part of the cliff and the Peach Immortal’s stone buildings.

Ch. 78The treasures of Peach Spring Village!

After defeating Peach Fruit Man, Li Xia and his companions recovered the Peach Immortal’s texts and discovered a Bonsai Small World beneath the ruins. They left the fate of its inhabitants undecided and ended by considering the Peach Immortal and the elixir of eternal youth trapped in a gourd.

  • Li Xia checked on Kagome, Sango, Inuyasha, and Miroku after the battle, gave the injured spirit fluid, and apologized for failing to protect the girls from the vines.
  • Li Xia cut down the Human-Faced Fruit Tree and retrieved the Immortal cultivation texts and notes from the collapsed stone house.
  • The group agreed to store the texts at Kagome’s house for safekeeping, while leaving open whether they would pursue Immortal Arts later.
  • Li Xia told the group that several dozen people lived in the Bonsai Small World, and they debated whether to leave them there or rescue them.
  • The group discussed the Peach Immortal’s elixir of eternal youth and wondered how to release him from the yellow gourd.

Ch. 79Naraku and Kikyo, a contest between chess players!

Li Xia and the others struggled to free the Peach Immortal from the Treasure Gourd, while Naraku met the resurrected Kikyo and weighed her offer to help him obtain Shikon Shards. Kikyo left Naraku Castle with a shard and returned to Kaede's Village, where she encountered Inuyasha by the Sacred Tree.

  • Inuyasha proposed cutting open the Treasure Gourd, but Miroku explained its restrictions and how it could help ease the burden of his Wind Tunnel.
  • Naraku reflected on his past, his growing Demon Power, and the long-hidden dangers surrounding the Shikon Jewel.
  • Kikyo called Naraku Onigumo and offered to help him collect the Shikon Shards held by Inuyasha and Kagome; Naraku questioned her motives.
  • Kikyo left Naraku Castle with a blackened Shikon Shard, deciding not to purify it so she could feign weakness.
  • Kikyo returned to Kaede's Village and met Inuyasha beneath the Sacred Tree near the Bone-Eater's Well.

Ch. 80The Miko's barrier

Inuyasha fell into Kikyo’s illusion and was trapped in Naraku’s Phantom Kill, while Kagome entered the barrier after sensing a Shikon Shard. Li Xia and the others could not get through Kikyo’s powerful Miko barrier, and Kagome realized she was alone as dusk fell.

  • Inuyasha stepped into Kikyo’s barrier and Naraku’s Wooden Puppet used Phantom Kill to trap him in the memory of Kikyo sealing him.
  • Kagome sensed a Shikon Shard near the Bone-Eater’s Well and went ahead, disappearing into the barrier before Li Xia could stop her.
  • Li Xia tried to cross the barrier with the Poison Flood Dragon, but its attacks only provoked painful white lightning.
  • Miroku and Sango arrived, but neither could enter; Miroku said only a Miko with comparable spiritual power could break the barrier.
  • Inside the barrier, Kagome noticed Li Xia had fallen silent, turned around, and found the path behind her empty.

Ch. 81Li Xia and Kikyo's second encounter

Kikyo purified the shard Naraku had used to manipulate her, took Kagome’s Shikon Shards, and explained Naraku’s scheme. Li Xia rescued Kagome and challenged Kikyo’s decision to act without consulting the others before carrying Kagome through the Bone-Eater’s Well, while Inuyasha remained trapped in an illusion.

  • Kikyo destroyed Naraku’s Wooden Puppet with a single strike, prompting Naraku to suspect she had deceived him.
  • Kikyo shot a Sacred Arrow beneath Kagome, but Soul Collectors caught Kagome and returned her to the surface.
  • Kikyo told Kagome that Naraku had caused her and Inuyasha’s hatred, then purified the shard in her chest and took Kagome’s Shikon Shards.
  • Li Xia arrived with Kagome, checked that she was safe, and urged Kikyo to explain her intentions rather than make decisions for others.
  • Kikyo warned Li Xia that Naraku would come for his Shikon Shards, and Li Xia advised her to prepare backup plans.
  • Li Xia carried the sleeping Kagome through the Bone-Eater’s Well, while Kikyo left and Inuyasha remained trapped in the illusion.

Ch. 82Even freer!

Kikyo confronted Naraku, gave him nine Shikon Shards, and left him struggling against the Onigumo mark within his body. After waking in Kagome’s home, Li Xia explained that Kikyo had taken the shards and identified Naraku as a dangerous collector connected to Sango’s family tragedy.

  • Kikyo visited the cave where Onigumo had lain and recognized the lingering evil aura as Naraku’s.
  • Kikyo entered Naraku Castle, identified Naraku as a half-demon, and gave him nine Shikon Shards.
  • Naraku tried to cut the spider mark from his back, but it reappeared as a small piece of severed flesh began taking human shape.
  • Kikyo left, resolved to let Naraku gather the complete Shikon Jewel so she could send him to hell.
  • Li Xia woke in Souta’s room after two days of recovery and learned from Kagome and Inuyasha how they had found him unconscious.
  • Li Xia confirmed that Kikyo had taken Kagome’s shards for Naraku, and Kagome connected Naraku to Miroku’s enemy.

Ch. 83Material aid, a blessing in disguise!

Li Xia helped unite the group against Naraku, tutored Kagome, and supplied Kaede's Village while recovering. The group began searching Musashi Province for Naraku, and Li Xia broke through to a new cultivation stage.

  • Li Xia offered to tutor Kagome in math before her mock exam, and they spent two quiet days studying together.
  • Li Xia bought food and daily supplies for Kaede's Village, and Inuyasha carried them across the well for a village feast.
  • Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Kagome, Shippo, Aba, Kirara, and Grandpa Myōga agreed to wait for Li Xia to recover before confronting Naraku and began searching Musashi Province for signs of him.
  • Sango and Miroku noticed that demons across Musashi Province had vanished or fled, especially from places where Shikon Shards had appeared.
  • Li Xia recovered from overusing two Sacred Tree Masks and advanced from Essence Refining to Qi Transformation to Qi Refining to Spirit Transformation.

Ch. 84A body full of treasures!

Li Xia reviewed the companions, cultivation, Shikigami, equipment, and treasures he had gained, then traveled secretly from Tokyo to the Peninsula Li Family. He reached the clan grounds and surprised a Clan Elder in his room, leaving the elder to ask who he was.

  • Li Xia reflected on Inuyasha's Pink Form Tessaiga, Miroku's Immortal Treasure Gourd, and the team's improvements.
  • Li Xia assessed his rapid cultivation, Shikigami, talismans, weapons, and the Blood Jade Sango's abilities, including the lingering souls of Ōgamaru and Tsukuyomaru inside it.
  • Li Xia decided to return to the Li Family for cultivation resources and to deal with the souls in the jewel later.
  • Li Xia said goodbye to Grandpa Higurashi, traveled to the coast, and used the Poison Flood Dragon to swim underwater toward the Peninsula Li Family.
  • Three days later, Li Xia entered the clan grounds through the Sacred Tree Mask's Earth-Style Jutsu and appeared beside a Clan Elder's window.
  • The Clan Elder asked who Li Xia was, and Li Xia teased him for having forgotten the youngster.

Ch. 85A pleasant time together!

Li Xia returned to the Li Family and reconciled with a Clan Elder after learning the family had punished those who betrayed him. He traded captured demons and spirit fluid for advanced cultivation supplies, then prepared to meet the other Clan Elders with the old man and his mysterious father.

  • Li Xia confronted the Clan Elder about his grandson Ashan and the other cousins who had sold him out, and the old man explained that the family had punished them under its rules.
  • Li Xia agreed to let Ashan and the other cousins go, then asked for advanced talisman arts, a superior contract Ritual Altar, and blank Spirit Shrines.
  • Li Xia offered boxes containing captured demons and bottles of potent spirit fluid in exchange for the supplies, and the Clan Elder eagerly accepted.
  • The Clan Elder gave Li Xia a Spirit Shrine, a contract Ritual Altar, and an Advanced Spirit-Sealing Talisman, then agreed to accompany him to seek approval for the remaining items.
  • Li Xia said he could not wait until tomorrow, and his mysterious father appeared outside the window, startling the Clan Elder.

Ch. 86The clan elders were overwhelmed by the honor!

Li Xia used his resurrection ability to bring back Li Family ancestors, who helped him persuade the clan elders to provide him with talismans and other supplies. After arranging for the ancestors and Soul Collectors to protect the family, he returned to Sunset Shrine and prepared to cross into the Sengoku Era to confront Naraku.

  • Li Xia resurrected the fathers and grandfathers of several clan elders, who reunited with their descendants and helped him win the elders' cooperation.
  • Li Xia secured a large supply of advanced and intermediate talismans, Spirit Shrines, Contract Ritual Altars, and other resources in exchange for offering future aid to the family.
  • Li Xia instructed the ancestors to raise three Soul Collectors and protect the Li Family, then declined their offer to send companions with him.
  • The highest-ranking ancestor warned Li Xia to keep his secrets from everyone, including his family.
  • Li Xia returned to Sunset Shrine, said farewell to the Higurashi Family, and set off through the Bone-Eater's Well toward the Sengoku Era to confront Naraku.

Ch. 87The mother and daughter's circumstances

Li Xia visited Shizu and Shiori in Flower Village, learned that Shiori’s bats had located a village plagued by a Water God, and traveled there to investigate. He found the village devastated by floods and learned that the Water God had destroyed it after its chief changed the child sacrifice.

  • Li Xia visited Shizu and Shiori and gave them food and supplies, finding that the villagers had largely accepted them.
  • Shiori sent two bats, Little Green and Little Purple, to guide Li Xia to the village rumored to have a Water God that demanded children.
  • Li Xia left Flower Village on the Poison Flood Dragon and traveled downstream toward the Water God’s lake.
  • Li Xia reached the Lake of Darkness and saw that floods had devastated the village along its shore.
  • Li Xia questioned surviving villagers and learned that the Water God had caused the latest flood after the village chief changed the sacrifice.

Ch. 88The divine weapon was his!

Li Xia defeated the fake Water God, claimed the Rain-Calling Spear, and left the sealed figurine-sized Water God trapped. When he returned to Kaede's Village, he found Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, and Miroku badly injured.

  • Li Xia rode the Poison Flood Dragon into the Water God's Torii and used the Lightning Spear Butt to absorb lightning from the Rain-Calling Spear.
  • The fake Water God transformed into a giant snake and attacked Li Xia with tornadoes, but Li Xia evaded the attacks and cut off the snake demon's head with the Vibrating Sound Blade.
  • The Poison Flood Dragon crushed and ate the fake Water God's head, while Li Xia took the Rain-Calling Spear and left the real Water God sealed in a rock.
  • Li Xia returned to Kaede's Village and found Inuyasha covered in bandages, Kagome listless, and Sango and Miroku in poor condition.

Ch. 89So bad, yet so eager to play!

Miroku recounted how Naraku’s forces outmaneuvered and injured his group, while Li Xia pieced together the enemy’s abilities and learned Kikyo had driven them off. Naraku had taken Tessaiga, and a young man entered Naraku Castle alone, intending to claim the sword.

  • Miroku told Li Xia how Kagura manipulated the group into clashing with Kōga before escaping after Inuyasha wounded her.
  • Miroku explained that Kanna used her mirror to control villagers and reflect Inuyasha’s Wind Scar, while Goshinki’s mind reading kept Miroku from helping his companions.
  • Li Xia recognized the white-clad girl as Kanna and the purple mind-reading demon as Goshinki, then questioned how Miroku had survived the encounter.
  • Miroku revealed that Kikyo used an unknown method to drive Naraku and his three subordinates away, and that Naraku had taken Tessaiga.
  • A noble young man tore through Naraku Castle’s outer barrier and entered alone, declaring that Tessaiga should be his.

Ch. 90Sesshomaru vs. Naraku's little family!

Sesshomaru attacked Naraku and his incarnations, but Naraku’s group turned the battle against him with teamwork and Tessaiga. Naraku then ordered Goshinki to bite through Tessaiga, leaving the sword’s fate unresolved.

  • Naraku sent Kagura, Goshinki, and Kanna to fight Sesshomaru, and Goshinki saved Kagura from Sesshomaru’s attack.
  • Kanna reflected Sesshomaru’s sword energy, but Sesshomaru bypassed her and attacked Naraku.
  • Naraku transformed Tessaiga and used it to overpower Sesshomaru’s weaker demon sword.
  • Naraku regrouped with his incarnations and ordered Goshinki to bite through Tessaiga.
  • Goshinki bit Tessaiga with his Ogre Fang, and the sword cracked.

Ch. 91Biting Through Naraku's Barrier!

Sesshomaru awakened his demon blood after Naraku used Goshinki to break Tessaiga, forcing Naraku to flee while leaving the sword in pieces. Inuyasha and Li Xia reached the battlefield and found Goshinki dead and Tessaiga broken.

  • Goshinki shattered Tessaiga after Naraku withdrew the demon power strengthening it, and Sesshomaru erupted in fury.
  • Sesshomaru overwhelmed Goshinki and killed him, then attacked Naraku's barrier until Naraku escaped with Kanna and Kagura.
  • Sesshomaru picked up the broken Tessaiga, declared he would forge a sword from his own fang, and left the battlefield.
  • Kikyo arrived at the wreckage, surveyed it, and departed.
  • Li Xia and Inuyasha rode Kirara to the battlefield, where Inuyasha found Tessaiga broken and Li Xia recognized Goshinki's corpse.

Ch. 92Naraku, profoundly influenced without even knowing it!

Li Xia collected Goshinki’s remains and suspected the Shikon Jewel had changed Naraku, making him discard powerful abilities and act recklessly. After Goshinki broke Tessaiga, Inuyasha brought its pieces to Totosai, who agreed to repair it but said he needed a high-quality binding material.

  • Li Xia considered how Naraku had discarded Goshinki’s mind reading and other abilities, and wondered whether the Shikon Jewel had changed his judgment.
  • Li Xia collected Goshinki’s corpse and urged Inuyasha to take Tessaiga’s broken pieces to Totosai.
  • Inuyasha eagerly agreed to leave, hoping Totosai could restore Tessaiga.
  • Totosai scolded Inuyasha for breaking Tessaiga, then said he could reforge it in five days and five nights if they found a high-quality binding material.
  • Totosai told Inuyasha to open his mouth.

Ch. 93The Reforged Tessaiga!

Totosai reforged Tessaiga using several of Inuyasha’s teeth, while Li Xia learned sword-forging techniques from him. When Inuyasha tested the restored blade, it proved too heavy for him to lift, and Li Xia explained the cause and offered two possible remedies, withholding two riskier options.

  • Totosai pulled Inuyasha’s upper-left fang and explained that he needed several fresh teeth to reforge Tessaiga, so Inuyasha stayed with him for a few days.
  • Li Xia asked Totosai about forging demon swords, and Totosai let him observe and taught him the basics.
  • Totosai fled on Three-Eyed Ox after finishing the reforging, leaving Inuyasha’s replacement tooth still growing back.
  • Inuyasha transformed the repaired Tessaiga, but the heavy sword sank to the ground and he could not lift it.
  • Li Xia explained that Inuyasha’s teeth had made Tessaiga unusually heavy and described growing stronger or having the sword absorb a powerful demon’s blood and demon power as remedies.

Ch. 94Kagome was ambushed!

Li Xia advised Inuyasha to adapt to Tessaiga’s sudden weight by using quick drawing strikes, then discovered that Kagome’s spiritual power had weakened after Kanna’s Mirror extracted her soul. He suspected Naraku and Kanna had kept part of Kagome’s soul and resolved that Kanna’s Mirror could not remain in Naraku’s hands.

  • Li Xia dismissed awakening Inuyasha’s demon blood or using a Shikon Shard to alter Tessaiga as dangerous options.
  • Li Xia told the discouraged Inuyasha to use Iaido-style strikes, transforming Tessaiga as he drew it and returning it to its light form after a missed attack.
  • Li Xia and Inuyasha returned to Kaede's Village, where Sango was walking again and Miroku had recovered some of his confidence after hearing Goshinki was dead.
  • Li Xia noticed that Kagome’s spiritual power had weakened by at least half since Kanna’s Mirror extracted her soul.
  • Li Xia suspected that Kanna had withheld part of Kagome’s soul and that the Shikon Jewel had sealed Kagome’s own hidden power.
  • Li Xia concluded that Kanna’s Mirror was too dangerous to remain in Naraku’s hands.

Ch. 95Kagome was ambushed again!

Li Xia reassessed the weakened team’s chances against Naraku and decided they needed to pursue Ryūkotsusei before their enemy grew stronger. Meanwhile, Naraku recruited the Black Miko Tsubaki, and an unknown evil presence ambushed Kagome near the Bone-Eater’s Well as Li Xia rushed after it.

  • Li Xia reviewed how Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and the others had lost key advantages, then decided to target Ryūkotsusei soon and set out with Higurashi.
  • Three days earlier, Tsubaki cursed a castle lord to death, and Naraku later offered her a large Shikon Shard in exchange for using her Cursed Technique.
  • The Shikon Shard restored Tsubaki’s youth, and she agreed to do Naraku’s bidding.
  • Shippo, Inuyasha, Sango, Kaede, and Miroku sensed an evil aura approaching Kaede’s Village and the Bone-Eater’s Well.
  • As Kagome climbed out of the well, something bit her foot, and Li Xia dropped the bags and charged after the unseen attacker.

Ch. 96Pursuit!

Li Xia pursued the two-horned white snake that had taken Kagome’s blood and fought Kagura and Black Miko Tsubaki, but they escaped with the blood. Tsubaki used it with a Shikon Shard to prepare a curse, while Naraku warned her not to underestimate Kagome.

  • Li Xia sent the Poison Flood Dragon to protect Kagome and chased the white snake, destroying a Paper Shikigami that ambushed him.
  • Li Xia recognized Kagura and Black Miko Tsubaki, attacked them, and wounded Tsubaki’s Tengshe Shikigami, but the snake escaped by shedding part of its tail.
  • Kagura used her winds and Feather Flying Boat to flee with Tsubaki, while Li Xia pursued them on the Poison Flood Dragon after burning away a swarm of Saimyosho.
  • Miroku went after Li Xia, while Sango returned to the village; Inuyasha carried Kagome to Kaede’s house to have her bite examined.
  • Tsubaki dripped Kagome’s blood onto a Shikon Shard and asked Naraku whether to kill Kagome at once or torment her first.
  • Naraku’s Wooden Puppet appeared and warned Tsubaki that Kagome was no ordinary girl.

Ch. 97The same old recipe, the same old taste!

Black Miko Tsubaki used Kagome’s blood and the Shikon Jewel to curse her, corrupting the shards she carried and taking control of her. Inuyasha tried to get Kagome to the Bone-Eater’s Well, but she attacked him with spiritual power and shot an arrow into his chest.

  • Tsubaki told Naraku that she had used Kagome’s blood to make the Shikon Shards resonate with her curse from miles away.
  • Kagome’s shards turned black, shattered their bottle, and burrowed into her body, leaving her motionless; Myōga and Kaede identified the attack as a curse by Tsubaki.
  • Inuyasha realized Li Xia’s signal had been a warning to take Kagome through the Bone-Eater’s Well and hurried to bring her there.
  • Naraku gave Tsubaki another Shikon Shard and urged her to make Kagome kill Inuyasha, so Tsubaki began controlling Kagome from afar.
  • Kagome struck Inuyasha with spiritual power beneath the Sacred Tree and then shot an arrow that embedded in his chest.

Ch. 98Kagome's resolve, Li Xia's transformation!

Kagome resisted Tsubaki’s control long enough to reach the Bone-Eater’s Well and jump in, while Li Xia attacked the barrier surrounding Tsubaki’s hut. The chapter ended with Li Xia transformed by the Great Katsura Tree Mask and striking the barrier with his reinforced Fire-Tipped Spear.

  • Tsubaki forced Kagome to seal Inuyasha with an arrow, but Kagome warned Kaede and the others to run when Tsubaki tried to make her attack them.
  • Kagome dispersed the growing sphere of spiritual and demon power, fought Tsubaki’s commands, and made her way to the Bone-Eater’s Well.
  • Kagome jumped headfirst into the well, while Kaede, Shippo, and the others rushed after her and Grandpa Myoga went to Inuyasha.
  • Tsubaki recounted her past with Kikyo and discovered that Kagome’s resistance and the well had severed her curse.
  • Li Xia absorbed the Poison Flood Dragon into the Great Katsura Tree Mask, transformed, and thrust his reinforced Fire-Tipped Spear at Tsubaki’s barrier.

Ch. 99Naraku's cunning, Li Xia's might!

Li Xia attacked Black Miko Tsubaki’s hut, disrupting Naraku’s plans and overpowering the demons sent to stop him. He killed Tsubaki as she tried to flee, leaving two Shikon Shards behind.

  • Li Xia destroyed Tsubaki’s barrier and bombarded her hut with lightning, forcing her to escape with the Shikon Jewel and her shikigami.
  • Naraku watched through Kanna’s Mirror and reflected on how he had used Tsubaki’s attack on Inuyasha and Kagome to protect himself during his weakened state and extend the interval before his next one.
  • Li Xia caught up with Tsubaki and killed Naraku’s Wooden Puppet and her Big Fox demon in a head-on assault.
  • Tsubaki released hordes of demons as a distraction and fled, planning to seize the power of a great demon sealed inside the Treasure Pagoda.
  • Li Xia hurled his spear through Tsubaki’s chest, cut off her head, and engulfed the area in fireballs, leaving two Shikon Shards on the ground.

Ch. 100An oppressive sense of crisis, a mind in turmoil!

Li Xia recovered the Shikon Shards and found Kagome unconscious but no longer under the curse, then brought her to the modern world to rest. With Kagome injured and Inuyasha sealed, he feared Naraku would attack and flew west to strengthen his forces.

  • Li Xia took the two large Shikon Shards, destroyed the contaminated materials at the battlefield, and left as Naraku watched through Kanna's Mirror.
  • Kagome's spiritual power purified the shards in her neck, though the curse had left her body badly weakened.
  • Li Xia returned to Kaede's Village, learned Kagome had sealed Inuyasha and jumped into the Bone-Eater's Well to find her.
  • Li Xia checked Kagome, carried her to the modern world, and settled her in bed to recover.
  • Li Xia resolved to defend the Bone-Eater's Well and improve his strength before Naraku could attack, then flew toward the Western Lands.

Ch. 101A severed arm! Tessaiga's dazzling blade aura!

Li Xia encountered Sesshomaru and proposed using Tessaiga against Naraku's approaching demon army. After Tessaiga rejected Sesshomaru again, Li Xia severed his own left arm and offered it as a bridge, allowing Sesshomaru to wield the sword as it transformed into a golden-aura great cleaver.

  • Li Xia changed course and met Sesshomaru, Jaken, Rin, and Moomoo on a hillside, then showed Sesshomaru that Totosai had repaired Tessaiga.
  • Li Xia tossed Tessaiga to Sesshomaru and suggested he wield it, but the sword's barrier power repelled him.
  • Naraku's swarm of more than three thousand demons approached with Kagura, forcing Sesshomaru to protect Rin and Jaken as Li Xia worried about the coming battle.
  • Li Xia severed his left arm and offered it to Sesshomaru, explaining that a human arm could let Tessaiga accept a powerful full demon.
  • Sesshomaru attached Li Xia's arm and grasped Tessaiga without being rejected, transforming the rusty sword into a great cleaver wreathed in golden blade aura.
