Arc 6The Forest Awakens

Li Xia expanded his power, led the Li Family against the Smith Family, and clashed with Naraku over the Shikon Shards. As he and Kikyo investigated new threats, Manganomaru awakened the Tree of Ages, spreading its power across the forest.

  • Li Xia reinforced Ryūkotsusei’s seal, revived Bankotsu as Mount Hakurei’s gatekeeper, and learned from Tōga why Sesshomaru had inherited Tenseiga.
  • The Li Family destroyed the Smith Family’s stronghold, took its spoils, and gave Li Xia eight depleted Shikon Shards.
  • Naraku stole the Shikon Shards, but their sacred power burned him and Kagome later forced him to drop them during his attack on the shrine.
  • Li Xia left Inuyasha’s group, trained on Mount Hakurei, subdued Entei, and strengthened Mountain Demon by having it absorb the Pagoda Giant Demon.
  • Li Xia rescued Kikyo from Naraku’s Soul Collector, then revived and contracted the Life-Melting Tree.
  • Manganomaru attacked Inuyasha and Miroku, while Sesshomaru intervened and Sango and Kagome fought the Demonesses to save Kirara.
  • After Li Xia and Kikyo rode toward the Forest of No Return, Manganomaru broke the Dog General’s seal and awakened the Tree of Ages, whose roots and demon power spread through the forest.
Chapters 127–151 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 127The First Great Demon Shikigami!

Li Xia spent days carving Ryūkotsusei apart while keeping the Dog General’s seal intact, feeding the flesh to the Great Katsura Tree Mask and poison flood dragon. The poison flood dragon reached five-star strength, but its demon power strained Li Xia, so he paused the feast and asked Hakushin to reinforce the seal.

  • Li Xia tested Ryūkotsusei’s forehead with Tessaiga and the Rain-Calling Spear, finding the face too tough to penetrate at first.
  • Li Xia scraped through nearly a meter of facial skin, then spent three days cutting away Ryūkotsusei’s inner flesh while the Great Katsura Tree Mask and poison flood dragon consumed it.
  • The Great Katsura Tree Mask and poison flood dragon grew stronger as Ryūkotsusei remained dormant, with no sign that his soul had awakened.
  • Ten days later, the poison flood dragon reached five-star strength, and Li Xia ordered it to stay quiet and shrink back into mask form.
  • Li Xia found that wearing the upgraded Dragon Mask made the flood dragon’s demon power strain his body, so he stopped feeding it more flesh for now.
  • Li Xia asked Hakushin to reinforce the seal after revealing that nearly half of Ryūkotsusei’s body had been eaten and much of the flesh around his heart had been hollowed out.

Ch. 128Bankotsu!

Li Xia revived Bankotsu in a reinforced clay body and recruited him to guard Mount Hakurei, promising to revive the Band of Seven if he served well. After giving Bankotsu the reforged Banryu Great Spear, Li Xia went to find Sesshomaru and suggested exploring Tenseiga for a surprise.

  • Li Xia decided Mount Hakurei needed a gatekeeper and chose to revive Bankotsu.
  • Enju and Li Xia awakened Bankotsu in a clay body reinforced with diamond powder and Ryūkotsusei's bones, and Li Xia explained its powers and weaknesses.
  • Bankotsu agreed to guard the seal after Li Xia promised to revive Jakotsu and, if Bankotsu performed well, the rest of the Band of Seven.
  • Li Xia gave Bankotsu the Banryu Great Spear, which he had reforged with dragon teeth, and described plans to strengthen it by having Bankotsu slay demons sealed within Mount Hakurei.
  • Li Xia went to find Sesshomaru and suggested visiting the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal to see whether Tenseiga held another surprise.

Ch. 129Sesshomaru, hadn't you already found your answer?

Li Xia brought Sesshomaru to the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal so he could learn whether Tenseiga held a hidden contingency like Tessaiga, and Sesshomaru met his father inside the Immortal Wine. Meanwhile, Naraku obtained the Demon-Blocking Wall, and a mysterious miko’s actions at Midoriko’s remains drew the interest of a young Shinkan.

  • Li Xia suggested that Tenseiga might contain a contingency, prompting Sesshomaru to seek the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal.
  • Naraku found the Demon-Blocking Wall inside the sleeping Mount Yama Man and killed the demon after taking it.
  • A graceful miko did something to Midoriko’s body, leaving a holy light in her chest, and a young Shinkan later considered using her lingering souls in his imitation Shikon Jewels.
  • The Medicine Elder Poison Immortal put Tenseiga and Sesshomaru into separate wine vats, where Sesshomaru encountered his father, Tōga.
  • Li Xia brought Rin into the wine-vat world, and Tōga asked Sesshomaru whether he had already found his answer.

Ch. 130A heart-to-heart between father and son!

Li Xia told the Dog General how Sesshomaru had helped Inuyasha, prompting the father to acknowledge his eldest son's care and explain the power and purpose of Tenseiga. The conversation left Sesshomaru reassured of his father's affection, while Li Xia's question about why the Dog General had not used Tenseiga to save himself remained unanswered.

  • Rin told the Dog General that she loved staying with Sesshomaru, and he was pleased to learn that Sesshomaru had saved her with Tenseiga.
  • Li Xia described Sesshomaru's help to Inuyasha, including confronting Naraku and returning Tessaiga, while Sesshomaru denied that he had helped his brother.
  • Moved by Li Xia's account, the Dog General praised Sesshomaru and told him to seek Totosai and learn Meido Zangetsuha from Tenseiga.
  • The Dog General explained how Sesshomaru could complete Meido Zangetsuha by confronting Shinigami Oni and clarified that Tessaiga's barrier protected against other great demons.
  • Sesshomaru felt reassured that his father cared for him, and Li Xia asked why the Dog General had not used Tenseiga to save himself after Ryūkotsusei wounded him.

Ch. 131Uncle Tōga, was someone targeting you?

The Dog General explained why Sesshomaru had been unable to wield Tenseiga to save him and why Ryūkotsusei had nearly killed him. Li Xia realized that Tōga had faced Ryūkotsusei while his swords were unusually incomplete, then asked whether someone had deliberately targeted him.

  • The Dog General told Sesshomaru that Tenseiga required compassion and someone the wielder wanted to protect, explaining that Sesshomaru’s answer long ago had shown he met neither condition.
  • Sesshomaru understood why his father had left him Tenseiga and began blaming himself, but the Dog General reassured him that his death was not Sesshomaru’s fault.
  • Li Xia asked about Ryūkotsusei, and the Dog General described the demon’s exceptional physique, immense demonic power, and ability to counter Meido Zangetsuha.
  • The Dog General explained that Tessaiga had lost Meido Zangetsuha and other techniques, while Tenseiga was newly forged, so his three swords had been incomplete when he fought Ryūkotsusei.
  • Li Xia concluded that Ryūkotsusei had attacked when the Dog General was at an unusually vulnerable point and asked whether someone had targeted him.

Ch. 132The Kirin Arm!

Li Xia suspected that someone had manipulated Ryūkotsusei into fighting the Dog General on the day Izayoi gave birth, and he identified Shinigami Oni and Musubi as possible culprits. As the Dog General began improving Li Xia’s transformed left arm, he also hoped the young man could help reconcile Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.

  • The Dog General reviewed the enemies he had made and wondered who could have arranged his fatal fight with Ryūkotsusei.
  • Li Xia pointed to Tenseiga and suggested that Musubi or Shinigami Oni might have had motives to target the Dog General.
  • Li Xia argued that Shinigami Oni had both a grudge and the means to lure Ryūkotsusei into battle, and Sesshomaru and the Dog General found his reasoning persuasive.
  • The Dog General urged Sesshomaru to join Inuyasha in defeating Shinigami Oni, hoping the brothers would grow closer, and considered recruiting Li Xia as a retainer.
  • The Dog General noticed that Sesshomaru’s demon power had transformed Li Xia’s left arm into a Kirin Arm and infused it with golden motes to strengthen it further.

Ch. 133A rich haul! Why Inuyasha could steal the kill!

Li Xia gained a Kirin Arm, physical enhancements, and several useful techniques from the Dog General before leaving Sesshomaru and returning to his companions. He learned that Inuyasha had recently gone berserk while fighting the Flower Emperor, and returned Tessaiga to him.

  • The Dog General strengthened Li Xia’s body and left arm, bringing his arm strength close to five-star level and granting him a Kirin Arm.
  • The Dog General gave Li Xia military and monk legacies, and Li Xia identified Spirit-Calling Artifacts, Sutra Scrolls, and faith-powered artifacts as especially useful.
  • Li Xia reasoned that Ryūkotsusei had been badly weakened by his old battle with the Dog General and had underestimated Inuyasha, making Inuyasha’s victory a stolen kill.
  • Li Xia said goodbye to Sesshomaru, went to Mount Hakurei, and returned to Kaede’s Village the next day.
  • Miroku, Kagome, and the others told Li Xia how the Flower Emperor had trapped them in sorrowful illusions until Inuyasha’s demon blood awakened and Kagome finished the demon with an arrow.
  • Li Xia gave Tessaiga back to Inuyasha and remarked on how often his companions nearly got wiped out.

Ch. 134What goes around comes around!

After the Flower Emperor’s defeat, Li Xia learned that Inuyasha’s group had collected no Shikon Shards and returned to the modern world. He rallied the Li Family to destroy the Smith Family and supplied them with spirits and demons for the coming fight.

  • Li Xia explained that Sesshomaru had secretly protected Inuyasha and helped restore Tessaiga, which could now unleash a powerful Wind Scar with a casual slash.
  • Li Xia returned to the modern world after telling Inuyasha’s group to train in the village, and buried coffins beneath a temple near the Bone-Eater’s Well.
  • Li Xia told the Li Family elders that the Smith Family might discover he was alive and move against them, so he wanted to strike first.
  • The Li Family elders unanimously agreed to wipe out the Smith Family rather than surrender their gains.
  • Li Xia gave the family about a hundred Soul Collectors and several powerful demons from Mount Hakurei to strengthen them for the battle.

Ch. 135Move out!

The Li Family strengthened its forces and traveled to Evergreen State to attack the Smith Family’s strongholds. After secretly clearing the outer defenses, the Li Family’s assault on the Smith Family’s ancient castles was exposed by a patrolman, leaving the battle poised to begin.

  • Li Xia helped three forebears switch to body cultivation and gave them enhanced Clay Dummy Bodies, then led the Li Family’s forces out on the Poison Flood Dragon.
  • The Li Family traveled underwater to Evergreen State and divided its members into squads to target the Smith Family’s outlying settlements and main grounds.
  • The family head ordered the younger generation to eliminate Smith Family blood descendants in the outlying towns while other squads cleared the surrounding area.
  • The Li Family surveyed the Smith Family’s estate and used Hundred Demons Bats, Shikigami, and a Concealment Barrier to approach its castles undetected.
  • Soul Collectors silently killed the Smith Family’s concealed and visible sentries, but a patrolling Death Warrior discovered the breach and shouted an alarm.

Ch. 136An unstoppable sweep! The end!

Li Xia led the Li Family’s assault on the Smith Family, using Mountain Demon and coordinated monsters and spirits to overwhelm the castle complex. By dawn, the Smith Family’s escape routes had been cut off and the battle was over, leaving the estate in ruins.

  • The Li Family head activated signal jammers and ordered an immediate all-out assault while Li Xia summoned Mountain Demon.
  • Mountain Demon smashed through the Smith Family’s defenses as bullets, missiles, and a magical barrier failed to stop it.
  • Former family head Will Smith realized the attack was linked to the Shikon Shards and ordered his people to flee by air, ground, and underground routes.
  • Li Xia and Mountain Demon used illusions to mislead the Smith Family while monsters and spirits attacked fleeing helicopters and blocked the other escape routes.
  • After a night of fighting, the Smith Family’s castle complex lay devastated and the battle had ended.

Ch. 137The origin of another Shikon Jewel!

After the Li Family defeated the Smith Family, Li Xia discovered eight Shikon Shards among their spoils and learned the jewel had been formed from the souls of powerful beings at the start of the End of Dharma Age. He returned to the Sengoku Era to see Kagome, but a scripture hidden under his clothes began heating as she rushed into his arms.

  • The Li Family’s ghost legion, demons, and three clay-bodied ancestors overwhelmed the Smith Family, and the family left the battlefield while disguising the attack as Mountain Demon’s rampage.
  • The Li Family cataloged ancient lineages’ legacies and other spoils before the fifth elder presented Li Xia with eight depleted Shikon Shards found by Thunderbird.
  • Li Xia recognized the shards as additional fragments that might recover their power after passing through the Bone-Eater’s Well, but decided against attacking the other American titan families and accepted the shards from the clan elders.
  • Li Xia learned from his ancestors that the Shikon Jewel had been created from the souls of the world’s last great demons and cultivators, then shattered during a conflict among immortals.
  • Li Xia returned to the Sengoku Era and was about to embrace Kagome when the scripture hidden in his underclothes began growing hot.

Ch. 138The devious Naraku! A reversal!

Naraku disguised himself as Kagome to steal Li Xia’s Shikon Shards, but Li Xia exposed him and launched a powerful counterattack. Naraku survived behind a pink barrier and absorbed the shards, while Li Xia remained unexpectedly calm and Hakushin awoke at Mount Hakurei.

  • Naraku, disguised as Kagome, stole Li Xia’s locked box of Shikon Shards after distracting him with a kiss.
  • Li Xia recognized Naraku, who shed the disguise and began corroding the box to get at the shards.
  • Li Xia attacked Naraku with Mountain Demon, the Poison Flood Dragon, his Sacred Tree Masks, and three advanced talismans.
  • Naraku lost his tails and was battered by the assault, but a pink barrier stopped the remaining attacks.
  • Naraku absorbed most of the Shikon Shards, and Li Xia revealed no alarm as Hakushin opened his eyes at Mount Hakurei.

Ch. 139Perfect teamwork!

At Kaede's Village, Li Xia used Shikon Shards infused with Master Hakushin's sacred power to badly wound Naraku, but villagers and Inuyasha's interference gave Naraku a chance to escape. Kagome struck Naraku with Sacred Arrows and knocked loose the shards he had stolen, while Inuyasha had to abandon the pursuit to save falling villagers.

  • Naraku ambushed Li Xia at the shrine, but sacred purifying power hidden in the Shikon Shards erupted and burned away much of Naraku's body.
  • Naraku used Kaede as a shield and Kanna-controlled villagers as obstacles, while Li Xia awakened clay-bodied monks and mikos and prepared to finish him with the Fire-Tipped Spear.
  • Inuyasha returned and sent a barrier-breaking Wind Scar toward Li Xia, forcing him to dodge and allowing Naraku to flee with Kanna.
  • Naraku's Soul Collector drained the dead monks' and mikos' souls, but Kagome pierced Naraku with a Sacred Arrow and made his stolen Shikon Shards fall out.
  • Kanna's Mirror cracked and released the villagers' souls, while Naraku blocked Inuyasha's next Wind Scar with demons, Saimyosho, and miasma.
  • Inuyasha pursued Naraku but turned aside to catch villagers falling from the air.

Ch. 140Could there really be such a good thing?

Li Xia learned that Naraku had trapped and poisoned Inuyasha's group, then attacked the shrine while the companions were away. After discovering that Kaede and Inuyasha had obstructed his attempt to destroy Naraku, Li Xia left with the Shikon Shards, ending his alliance with the group.

  • Miroku told Li Xia that the group had followed Naraku's Wooden Puppet into a mist trap, where poison and illusions left Kagome and the others weakened.
  • Miroku explained that Sango killed a poison-wielding revenant, while Inuyasha defeated Setsuna no Takemaru after being held back in the mist.
  • The group returned to find that Naraku had controlled villagers to lure Kaede away and had attacked Li Xia at the shrine, where the Sutra Scroll protected him.
  • Li Xia accused Kaede of knowingly shielding Naraku from the Holy Purifying Light and challenged Inuyasha over using the pink Tessaiga against him.
  • Li Xia took the Shikon Shards and flew away, leaving Kagome, Sango, and the others distressed as Kirara tried to pursue him.

Ch. 141Going solo!

After leaving his former companions, Li Xia received guidance and a protective Sutra Scroll from Master Hakushin before devoting himself to cultivation on Mount Hakurei. A week later, with his cultivation greatly advanced, he set off with the Poison Flood Dragon for the Many Wishes Temple.

  • Naraku realized that Li Xia would be more dangerous now that he no longer had to protect Inuyasha and the others.
  • Li Xia left, while Kagome twisted her ankle and found his gifts and farewell note in the Storage Gourd; Sango also received a scripture scroll and Ryūkotsusei’s Bone.
  • Li Xia visited Master Hakushin, who advised him about the Shikon Shards and gave him a powerful Sutra Scroll.
  • Li Xia cultivated on Mount Hakurei, strengthened his abilities by sparring with Bankotsu, and illuminated the acupoints throughout his left arm.
  • After a week, Li Xia reached four-and-a-half-star cultivation power, and the Poison Flood Dragon carried him to the Many Wishes Temple after feeding on Ryūkotsusei’s remains.

Ch. 142A deal with the monk Shinsen!

Li Xia negotiated with Master Shinsen to take Entei in exchange for grain, then demonstrated that he could handle the demon horse. After Shinsen released Entei from his seal, Li Xia sent Poison Flood Dragon to fight him, and Entei dodged its opening strike.

  • Master Shinsen told Li Xia how Entei had once served Purgatory Demon and how he had sealed the demon horse beneath the Back Mountain shrine.
  • Li Xia offered grain in exchange for Entei and promised to subdue him without letting him threaten the region.
  • Li Xia revealed Poison Flood Dragon, convincing Shinsen to let him try to capture Entei.
  • Shinsen undid Entei's seal, and the demon horse burst from the mountain amid flames and lightning.
  • Li Xia raised a Barrier, sent the two frightened novices outside, and ordered Poison Flood Dragon to attack Entei.
  • Entei dodged Poison Flood Dragon's opening strike, impressing Li Xia with his speed.

Ch. 143Thank you, you're welcome!

Li Xia subdued Entei, thanked Master Shinsen with a large gift of rice, and released Purgatory Demon, whom Mountain Demon promptly devoured. He then rode Entei to Tsubaki’s Shrine, where Tsubaki arranged for the young mikos to leave before Li Xia entered.

  • Li Xia trapped Entei in a compressed Barrier, subdued it with the Poison Flood Dragon, and contracted it as his fourth Shikigami.
  • Li Xia gave Master Shinsen three cubic meters of rice and thanked him for protecting the surrounding villages and suppressing Entei.
  • Li Xia broke Purgatory Demon’s seal, and Mountain Demon pulled him out and ate him; Li Xia then flew off with Entei and gave Master Shinsen a lift back.
  • Li Xia rode Entei northwest to meet Tsubaki, who asked him to let her lure away the young mikos, Botan and Momiji, before he confronted the Pagoda Giant Demon.
  • After Botan and Momiji left the Shrine, Li Xia approached its gate, and the Barrier Talismans overhead burned away as he stepped forward.

Ch. 144The many uses of the Shikon Jewel, Mountain Demon upgrades!

Li Xia brought the sealed Pagoda Giant Demon to Mount Hakurei and fed its remaining power to Mountain Demon, raising him to five-and-a-half-star strength under several safeguards. After Bankotsu tested Mountain Demon and lost, Li Xia directed him to awaken Banryu by releasing demons from the Mount Hakurei Sealing Ground, while Naraku began pursuing the Shikon Shards.

  • Li Xia broke through the Treasure Pagoda’s seals, carried away the stone containing the Pagoda Giant Demon, and erected a protective barrier around the shrine before leaving with Entei.
  • Li Xia fed Entei a demon-power crystal made from Ryūkotsusei’s essence, strengthening the horse’s power and bond with him.
  • Tsubaki brought her school’s inherited scrolls and ritual objects to Mount Hakurei, where Li Xia ordered her to teach Momiji and Botan before returning to Hell in three months.
  • Li Xia used the Shikon Jewel to help Mountain Demon absorb the Pagoda Giant Demon’s remains, increasing Mountain Demon’s power to five and a half stars.
  • Mountain Demon defeated Bankotsu in a test fight, and Li Xia sent Bankotsu to release demons from the Mount Hakurei Sealing Ground so Banryu could awaken.
  • Naraku followed the scent of the Shikon Shards to Hōsenki, the old master of Hōsenki Marsh.

Ch. 145Hitting walls at every turn!

Hōsenki drove Naraku from his home, then left for the Demon Graveyard after advising his son to avoid fame and make powerful allies. Naraku also suffered defeat at the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal’s valley, and his Wooden Puppet visited Kikyo, who taunted him about his failures.

  • Hōsenki used Adamant Barrage to shatter Naraku’s barrier and flesh, forcing him to flee.
  • Hōsenki warned his son to lie low, build useful friendships, and beware Naraku before opening a passage to the Demon Graveyard and departing.
  • Naraku attacked the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal, was badly beaten and purified, and escaped after sacrificing a Shikon Shard.
  • Naraku decided to target Sesshomaru after recovering, while his Wooden Puppet went to Kikyo’s temple and Little Tōko instantly killed it when it threatened her.
  • Kikyo confronted Naraku’s Wooden Puppet in the woods and mocked his interest in her and his failure to collect the Shikon Jewel.

Ch. 146Are you all right, Miss Kikyo?

Naraku sent a giant Mutated Soul Collector after Kikyo to prove he did not love her, and it nearly drained her Clay Body of the dead souls that sustained it. Li Xia arrived in time to rescue her and destroy the creature, leaving Kikyo safe in his arms while Naraku raged from his cave.

  • Naraku rejected the idea that Onigumo's heart made him unable to kill Kikyo and sent a mutated red Soul Collector to kill her.
  • Kikyo recognized the creature was devouring dead souls and rode away from the temple to draw it toward an open wilderness area.
  • The Soul Collector overwhelmed Kikyo's white Soul Collectors, drained the dead souls from her Clay Body, and chased her to a cliff.
  • Kikyo's horse lost its footing and fell from the cliff with her as she called out for Inuyasha.
  • Li Xia arrived on Entei, caught Kikyo, and summoned a Poison Flood Dragon that tore the Mutated Soul Collector apart.
  • Li Xia asked Kikyo if she was all right, and Naraku cursed angrily from his cave.

Ch. 147Traveling Together, Hand in Hand!

Li Xia rescued Kikyo from Naraku’s giant Soul Collector and helped her replenish the dead souls that let her move. After leaving Enju, Li Xia and Kikyo traveled to find a sealed willow demon, which Li Xia identified as the Life-Melting Tree.

  • Naraku threatened Kagura for helping Inuyasha and the others, warning that he would absorb her if she acted against him again.
  • Li Xia rescued Kikyo from the giant Soul Collector and asked Enju to lend Kikyo dead souls so she could move again.
  • Enju generously gave Kikyo a supply of dead souls, while Li Xia spent time discussing Advanced Demon Arts with Enju.
  • Kikyo and Li Xia set out together, and Kikyo told him about a willow demon she had seen sealed decades earlier.
  • Li Xia and Kikyo found the withered, talisman-bound willow on a barren hill, and Li Xia recognized it as the Life-Melting Tree.

Ch. 148The ring! Danger closing in!

Li Xia turned the Life-Melting Tree into a ring that could pierce barriers, then traveled downstream with Kikyo while Naraku spied on them in jealous frustration. Meanwhile, Kirara was possessed by a powerful demon’s will, and the chapter ended as a swarm of human-faced moths approached Inuyasha and Miroku.

  • Li Xia revived the Life-Melting Tree, contracted it, and subdued it into a wooden ring that could pierce barriers with willow-branch tendrils.
  • Li Xia and Kikyo set off in a boat, while Naraku watched them through Kanna’s Mirror and grew increasingly volatile.
  • A poisonous scorpion wounded Kirara, and a powerful demon’s will used the wound to invade her mind.
  • Kirara knocked Grandpa Myoga aside and ran into the woods, so Sango chased after her while Kagome followed with Shippo and Grandpa Myoga.
  • Inuyasha and Miroku stayed behind, but a swarm of human-faced demon moths arrived with a dangerous presence among them.

Ch. 149The gap between two heirs!

Inuyasha and Miroku fought Manganomaru, the Flying Demon Moth’s son, but Manganomaru defeated them and took Miroku’s arm to bypass Tessaiga’s barrier. Sesshomaru arrived as Manganomaru prepared to strike Inuyasha, and calmly absorbed his Wind Scar.

  • Miroku used the Immortal Treasure Gourd to draw in the moth swarm, but Sacred Tree roots flung him away and he dropped the gourd.
  • Manganomaru emerged from the moths and clashed swords with Inuyasha, whose fighting grew harder as the poisonous scales dulled his senses.
  • Miroku opened his Wind Tunnel to clear the moths, then collapsed from the poison, leaving Inuyasha to face Manganomaru alone.
  • Manganomaru defeated Inuyasha with Swallow Return and a close-range attack, then discovered Tessaiga’s barrier rejected him.
  • After killing Miroku and using his severed arm to wield Tessaiga, Manganomaru prepared to strike Inuyasha, but Sesshomaru arrived and absorbed his Wind Scar.

Ch. 150How Much Longer Are You Going to Sleep?

Sesshomaru confronted Manganomaru and tried to force the unconscious Inuyasha awake while Sango and Kagome fought Manganomaru’s Demonesses. Elsewhere, Li Xia and Kikyo learned from Naraku’s Saimyosho that Miroku had been killed, as Naraku urged Manganomaru to kill Li Xia.

  • Manganomaru escaped Sesshomaru after distracting him with poisonous moths, and Sesshomaru turned to berate and strike the unconscious Inuyasha.
  • Sango struggled against Glass and an enslaved Kirara while Kagome fought Lapis Lazuli, relying on her focus and memories of Li Xia’s advice.
  • A hidden ally’s Sacred Arrow disrupted Lapis Lazuli’s attack, and the Demonesses withdrew with Kirara carrying them and Sango away.
  • Li Xia destroyed a Saimyosho that approached his boat, but swarms soon gathered and spelled out that Miroku had been killed and everyone was in danger.
  • Naraku urged Manganomaru to fight and kill Li Xia.

Ch. 151Who was the strongest heir?

Naraku’s schemes against Li Xia and Manganomaru faltered as Manganomaru used Tessaiga to break the Dog General’s seal and began inheriting the Flying Demon Moth’s power. Li Xia and Kikyo sensed the awakening and headed for the Forest of No Return, where the Tree of Ages unleashed a threat that drew the attention of demons across the land.

  • Naraku abandoned his first plan to infect Manganomaru and considered using Li Xia to test him, but a vast surge of demon power rose from the Forest of No Return and startled him.
  • Li Xia refused to return to the Village after Naraku claimed Miroku had died, and he dismissed the report as a lie.
  • Li Xia and Kikyo sensed the strange demon power, then rode Entei toward the Forest of No Return to investigate.
  • Manganomaru used Tessaiga’s Wind Scar to break the Dog General’s seal, entered the Flying Demon Moth inheritance vessel, and began transforming.
  • The awakened Tree of Ages spread its roots and demon power across the forest, sending swarms of moths outward and causing Sacred Trees to revive.
  • Higurashi Grandpa felt a sudden chill in Tokyo, while the Medicine Elder Poison Immortal and other secluded demons sensed the disturbance.
