Naraku then confronted Kikyo himself, overpowered her remaining spiritual power, and began draining her soul as her barrier collapsed.

As Li Xia considered how the Dog General’s schemes might have driven Sesshomaru toward hatred if Rin had died, he concluded that the Dog Clan’s choices could have plunged the Demon World into chaos.

• Sesshomaru praised Shiori’s advanced barrier, and Li Xia agreed to let Rin go to Mount Penglai if she stayed beside Shiori and within the barrier.

The children led the group toward the Cauldron of Resonance, and Li Xia promised that no one would be sacrificed to the Four War Gods again.

• Moryomaru collected the remains and demon power of Ryūra, Kyora, and Jūra, then gathered the Four War Gods' weapons.
• Led by Xiaolan, Li Xia and the others reached the village and met the surviving children Asagi, Orange, Green, Shion, and Moegi.

• Li Xia combined the Tree of Ages Masks, empowered them with the Poison Flood Dragon, and entered the wine vat’s Water World.
• Li Xia found Tōga and Yamata no Great Serpent facing off inside Sōunga and recognized the Dog General.

• Li Xia, the Dog General, and Moryomaru battled Yamata no Orochi for seven days, while Mountain Demon wielded the Poison Flood Dragon as a giant blade to cut apart the evil spirit.
