After dinner.
Asaba Kotone went to wash the dishes as usual, and Makima followed him into the kitchen.
"Why did you come in too?"
Asaba Kotone couldn't help asking.
"To observe your everyday human behavior."
Makima said.
"Oh, that. I'm washing the dishes right now. We do this after every meal, unless we eat out."
Asaba Kotone explained to Makima.
Makima nodded.
She then quietly watched from behind him and to one side, without disturbing him at all.
After washing the dishes and putting them away, Asaba Kotone wanted to use the bathroom, but Makima followed him again.
"Um... could you not watch me use the bathroom?"
At the bathroom door, Asaba Kotone spoke somewhat awkwardly to Makima behind him.
"Why?"
Makima's expression shifted from blank to slightly airheaded. She tilted her head a little, seemingly not understanding why she couldn't watch.
"How do I put this... basically, normal humans have a sense of shame, and using the bathroom involves that..."
As he spoke, Asaba Kotone pointed down at his crotch.
He was already doing his best to explain it to Makima.
Makima's gaze followed Asaba Kotone's hand downward, and after a moment, she understood. "So you mean excretion."
