The Hidden World... had been blown up?
Othinus fell briefly silent.
Twisting, reshaping, or even destroying phases through absolute power was the privilege of the strong.
At first glance, though the difficulty of this feat was startling, it was nothing particularly remarkable in a Demon God's eyes.
"Demon God" and "the strong" referred to entirely different ranges of beings.
Even within Gremlin, quite a few magicians could influence the power of phases. Across the world, even a phase as preeminent as the Cross Church's was no exception.
It could be affected by the Angel Fall ritual, or exploited and manipulated by Fiamma of the Right, who possessed the power of salvation.
But ultimately, not all phases could be treated alike.
Since the foundation of the Demon Gods' omnipotence lay in phases, that concept was necessarily infinite as well.
Most of the phases that had been repeatedly altered were connected to religion and possessed their own self-contained systems of rules. It was hardly surprising that someone could exploit loopholes or seize authority over them.
But the Hidden World was different.
All its functions were devoted to infinity and concealment.
It had no concept of distance or time. A gap no wider than a hair could open into an infinite distance.
Though it still could not be called spacious for the many Demon Gods, compared with the cramped world itself, it was just barely tolerable.
Even from the data of this replica, Othinus could roughly imagine what it had looked like when it existed.
It clung to the world's end like an evenly stretched, flawless membrane. That form and mode of existence made breaking through from outside extraordinarily difficult.
Even Othinus's madness as she vented her fury, continually destroying and rebuilding every phase, had not affected its continued existence.
Thus, to destroy
