Power Progression

The documented progression below follows Roland’s attainment and subsequent development of Demon God power.

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Demon God 519 Roland is explicitly described as having entered the same domain as Othinus and Ollerus. He combines Demon God power with Nine Hundred and Ninety Trillion Magnetic Field Rotation to produce Black Hole Power; the precise breakthrough is not shown in the supplied account.
Perfect Demon God with the Complete Formula Solver 542 543 554 644 Roland completes his formula for victory and kills the Cthulhu Demon God with one punch. His later explanation establishes that he can alter the composition of existing Phases rather than merely superimpose new ones; his complete boundary lets him dominate opponents with similar theoretical magnitudes.

Nature and Ascension

The Demon God Path

  • Mastery of a Phase: A seeker conquers the worldview of their Phase and exhausts its knowledge, reaching a level that touches omnipotence 389.
  • Transcending humanity: Demon Gods have crossed the Abyss and comprehended divine intent as humans, exceeding the role of merely following the universe’s rules 394.
  • Unification of possibilities: A completed path gathers the seeker’s experiences, inclinations, and accumulated power into a unique result. Its defining Authorities cannot ordinarily be copied by another Demon God 523.
  • Symbolic completion: After reaching humanity’s limits, seekers almost always undergo a ritual that brings their existence together and signifies transcendence of their Phase’s essence 521.

Rituals and Their Consequences

Example Ritual or condition Consequence
Othinus Sacrificed an eye to obtain wisdom. Her one-eyed body is her complete state; restoring the missing eye would undermine that completion 521.
Othinus’s reversal Willingly retrieving her eye from the primordial lake and replacing it. Would negate her ascension ritual and return her body to that of a human. Merely destroying the lake would not undo an accomplishment that transcends time and space 526.
Bishop / High Priest Undertook a sokushinbutsu ritual, seeking salvation for all living beings. Obtained Demon God power despite being denied religious recognition. His obsession forced the path to completion but left him without the Buddhist name and duties he expected 534 536.
Nephthys Emerged from thousands upon thousands of servants buried with their king. Became a collective life rather than a single ascended individual, retaining substantial human empathy and an aptitude for dividing her power 538 541.
Ollerus Attempted to ascend while Othinus’s position remained bound to her. Became permanently stranded in an intermediate state. Even without that obstruction, he would still need a completion ritual to become a full Demon God 512 521.
  • Revealing the location and mechanism of an ascension ritual is dangerous: an enemy may use that information to construct a targeted Magic Formula or identify patterns in its owner’s thinking 526.
  • A Demon God’s path determines more than appearance. Differences between originating Phases produce distinctive combat styles even among beings who comprehend almost all True Magic 516.

Abilities & Skills

Phase Manipulation

Demon Gods change reality through the filters known as Phases 522.

  • Create and superimpose a new Phase that produces their desired reality 394.
  • Destroy or recreate the world’s apparent conditions through Phase manipulation 389 522.
  • Construct seemingly impossible rules, including a reality in which one plus one equals three 392 556.
  • Ordinarily cannot directly remove or edit existing Phases: their changes operate through addition and superimposition 394 524.
  • Repeated superimposition increases friction between Phases, producing sparks and further distorting the world 394.

Magical Comprehension and Unique Authorities

  • Their power encompasses the world’s magic, including formulas drawn from Phases other than their own 523.
  • A perfect Demon God can quickly learn a difficult technique and retaliate with an equivalent spell 523.
  • Their own path’s defining Authority remains unique. Understanding another Demon God’s magic does not automatically allow imitation of that individual’s completed path 523.
  • Ollerus’s Northern Europe Throne demonstrates the gulf between domains: its Demon God power cannot be properly perceived or explained by ordinary beings, making conventional defense and evasion ineffective 519.

Infinite Power and Immortality

  • Complete Demon Gods possess an infinite nature and are treated as equivalent to the universe 535 543.
  • Physical injuries alone are insignificant unless an opponent can address their immortality 540.
  • Their original forms exceed what the world can safely accommodate; casual movement can destroy it 536.
  • Differences in Phase or divinity do not normally create differences in their fundamental power. Individual Authorities and applications nevertheless remain distinct 523 541.
  • Even a near-Demon God constitution can provide immortality equivalent to the universe without granting the ability to destroy the entire universe in one attack 520.

Infinite Division

Infinite Division, also described through the Infinite Mirror Magic Formula, lets Demon Gods enter the Present World without immediately destroying it 536 544.

  • Infinitely divides and deliberately weakens the user’s constitution 536.
  • Keeps their existence circulating through endlessly repeated, world-compatible units, compared to a universal beam of light reflected between infinite mirrors 536.
  • Was developed by Zombie, whose Voodoo Phase makes her particularly skilled at manipulating her constitution 544.
  • Does not eliminate their danger to the world: even compressed Demon Gods can break its structure by unleashing themselves recklessly 545.

Limitations and Vulnerabilities

Limitation Effect
No true omniscience Demon Gods cannot see everything through the countless intervening Phases. Roland and Aleister exploit their incomplete information to conceal preparations 482.
The World’s Barrier Their ability to twist Phases does not let them overcome all underlying world logic or escape the barrier enclosing their world 392 519 550.
Subjective creation A created world reflects its creator’s impressions. Creating from an empty world produces only nothingness; additive omnipotence does not automatically recover an objective original 522.
Dependence on their path Completion produces a unique Authority but also binds the result to the seeker’s accumulated experiences and ritual 521 523 526.
Self-inflicted weakening Fairy-ification can collapse a Demon God’s constitution once the necessary opening exists. Roland emphasizes that overcoming their omnipotence first is normally required 524.
Infinite Division Voluntary weakening exposes them to attacks and formulas that would not work against their complete forms. Aleister prepares equipment and magic capable of killing these weakened bodies 537 544.
Arrogance and distorted time sense They assume humans cannot deceive them and may treat months as a negligible interval, allowing plans to mature before they recognize the danger 482.
Power beyond their domain The Serpent of the Sixth Heaven can annihilate their attacks and impose boundaries on a realm they cannot escape even at full strength 556.

Imagine Breaker

  • Serves as the world’s reference point, comparable to a save point from which a Demon God can recover after taking reality too far 522.
  • Roland considers Kamijou Touma’s hidden essence potentially comparable to Demon God power—or something more fundamental, capable of creating the original starting point of the world’s laws. This remains his deduction rather than a confirmed identification 400.

Known Bearers

Bearer Phase / Path Distinguishing traits
Roland Cross Church; an unconventional path retaining additional Authorities Recognized by Othinus as a Cross Church Demon God, yet also wields an inimitable Zoroastrian Authority. His development does not follow her usual model of converging possibilities through a Spirit Garment 523.
Othinus Norse mythology One-eyed Demon God associated with Odin. The Spear of the Main God regulates her power toward success rather than serving as its source 519 520 521.
Bishop / High Priest Buddhism Nameless sokushinbutsu who manipulates soil, the six paths, causality, and fate 534 536.
Niangniang Taoism Whimsical, free-spirited Demon God and friend of Nephthys; fights using Baobei 538 542.
Nephthys Egyptian mythology Collective of buried servants whose identity is expressed through the Weeping Woman’s tears. Specializes in support and dividing or switching power 538 541.
Nuada Not specified in the supplied account Bears the Silver Arm and identifies war as his mission 541 543.
Tezcatlipoca Aztec mythology Uses the Spear of Heaven and wears a prosthetic leg fitted with a round mirror 538 540 542.
Unnamed Cthulhu Demon God Cthulhu Phase Shadow-like entity whose incomprehensibility is itself an attack. Researching his identity creates a two-way mental conflict 538 541.
Zombie Voodoo Phase Technical specialist and creator of the Infinite Mirror Magic Formula 544.
Chimera Path associated with ultimate beauty Twists her existence and incorporates the structures of countless creatures into her body 539 556.
Proserpina Myth involving the Underworld, seasons, and divine punishment Appears as a veiled noblewoman in black mourning attire; remains outside the battlefield at full power alongside Chimera 539.

Ollerus possesses Demon God power but is explicitly a half-step or near-Demon God, not a completed bearer equivalent to Othinus 512 519 521.

True Gremlin

  • Structure: A leaderless alliance whose members maintain equality despite differing wishes and attitudes 528.
  • Purpose: Reaches agreements on intervention in the world while preserving peace among its members 539.
  • Residence: The Hidden World allows members to observe events in the Present World for entertainment 539.
  • Internal relations: Some members have relationships worse than those of strangers. Their coexistence reflects exhaustion with mutual hatred rather than close friendship 528.
  • Moderates: Nephthys and Niangniang prefer peaceful exchanges when possible; Nephthys is nevertheless a minority in consistently advocating negotiation 538 556.
  • Shared predicament: Unlimited wish fulfillment eventually gives way to emptiness and compromise, although the time required varies enormously between individuals 539.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Roland’s Entry into the World

Roland’s encounter with Othinus establishes Demon Gods as a level beyond his previous opponents. He considers mastering an unclaimed Phase but prefers a route that interprets and unifies his own possibilities rather than simply merging into a Phase. To avoid being drawn back toward Othinus during another incursion, he seeks an insider capable of summoning him 388 389.

After entering through Aleister’s preparations, Roland conceals his nature while developing the Blue Dream Company. Both men treat the Demon Gods as prospective enemies and exploit their incomplete observation and contempt for human deception 394 482.

Othinus’s Defeat

Roland confronts Othinus and Ollerus after entering the Demon God domain himself. His Black Hole Storm drains Ollerus’s power, but Othinus restores her control through a Spear of the Main God she already possessed 519 520.

Roland subsequently severs the spear’s success-guiding divinity with his Word Spirit Swords. Othinus’s attempts to recover expose her to the Fairy-ification trap he prepared, collapsing her constitution. Their conflict ultimately develops into a Contract and companionship rather than her destruction 523 524 526.

War with True Gremlin

Event Outcome
Blue Dream Creation Program Roland and Othinus transform Earth into a Nationwide Transmutation Circle as part of preparations to draw the Demon Gods into an absolute battlefield 529.
Bishop’s intervention Bishop tests the Blue Dream Company through attacks and an Earth Giant. Roland defeats him, making him the first Demon God killed in the confrontation 533 536 537.
Nephthys’s offer She proposes leaving Roland and his interests untouched if he makes the world capable of accommodating the Demon Gods. Roland rejects the settlement and declares that he will defeat them instead 538.
Combined assault The Demon Gods coordinate their unique powers while Nephthys attempts to insert a Phase that can reverse the battlefield’s conditions 541.
Formula for victory Roland alters the inserted Phase, destroys their combined attack, and permanently kills the Cthulhu Demon God with a single punch 542 543.
Ideal Exile Roland absorbs Tezcatlipoca and sends Niangniang, Nuada, and the other Demon Gods into New Heaven and Earth. Nephthys escapes through a remnant body but encounters Roland on the moon 545.

New Heaven and Earth and the Serpent

New Heaven and Earth initially appears to offer the Demon Gods a realm where they can freely use their full power. Roland later makes clear that it is a prison partitioned from the timeline, intended to preserve them as useful assets and employ them against the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven 545 556.

The Serpent imposes boundaries on the domain and progressively annihilates its foundations, forcing the Demon Gods to flee. Even after much of the prison is destroyed, they cannot cross its boundary into the Present World. Watching Roland fight an opponent they can barely escape overturns their confidence in their own supremacy 556 560.

Niangniang proposes joining Roland against the Serpent, and even Tezcatlipoca becomes willing to set aside his pride. Roland refuses their assistance, choosing to defeat it himself 562.

Terminology

  • Demon God Pillars are discussed separately in connection with Solomon, Lev Lainur Flauros, and inherited lineages. Those references do not establish attainment of the Phase-based Demon God realm 240 279.
  • Demon God King is Goetia’s title; his supplied description identifies him as a higher-dimensional being bound into his form through Solomon’s power 284.
  • Demon God Cells is an ability associated with Evil Bai Wunan’s Contract Spirit, granting exceptional vitality and evolutionary potential. It is not presented as the same ascension process 397.
