Roland explained to Othinus that the embryonic Little Garden could eventually model and reshape the universe, giving them a way to place limits on the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven. He left her with his goal of turning the universe into a tool and weapon: an embryonic Imitation Creation Star Map.
Roland explained that his defeat by the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven came from the difference between their cosmologies, and he prepared to complete his Imitation Creation Star Map with Zombie’s knowledge of the infinite phases. When the Serpent awakened before the map was finished, Roland revealed that the New Heaven and Earth had another purpose beyond sheltering the defeated Demon Gods.
Roland learned that the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven had overwhelmed the New Heaven and Earth, trapping Gremlin’s Demon Gods as it destroyed the domain. As the Demon Gods fled and Roland watched, the serpent appeared with the title “The Angel of Pāpīyas of the Sixth Heaven.”
Roland discovered that Pāpīyas was the enemy he would eventually have to defeat, then developed the rudiments of a power capable of reshaping the universe and entered the blue dream. After his experiment destroyed the universe, he returned and turned his attention to Coronzon.
Roland strengthened his power through his union with Laura, then spoke with Aiwass before heading to confront Pāpīyas at the boundary between the universe and the new heaven and earth. He arrived ready for a battle where neither of them could survive without fighting.
Roland confronted the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven, restraining his killing intent until he could face it at full strength. After breaking through its attack and provoking it into a charge, he unleashed Divine Strike; the battle’s outcome remained unknown.
The Demon Gods discussed why Roland was keeping the battlefield away from the Present World and Nephthys reasoned that he was preserving its strategic value. Roland then unleashed Divine Strike: Ultimate Infinity, subjecting the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven to an attack with the force of a Level 10,000 Earthquake.
Roland battered the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven with his ultimate-infinite Divine Strikes, deliberately pushing it to unleash its hidden trump card. The Serpent nullified his attacks by pouring all its infinity into its principle and invoked the Great Desire Realm Tengu Path.
Roland escaped the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven’s devastating flame attack with White Hole Power, while Othinus and the Demon Gods watched from safety. As the Serpent launched another assault, Roland pierced its mouth with an unseen weapon, leaving the battle’s outcome uncertain.
Roland wounded the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven with his Heart Light and Slash Emperor, drawing power from the A Certain Magical Index universe. As the serpent charged again, Roland began invoking the Sword that Rules the Heavens, Inscribed Annals, and declared the moment of culmination.
Roland fought the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven across the collapsing world and pierced it with Slash Emperor, inflicting fatal damage before the weapon and world were destroyed. Though the serpent remained dangerous and Roland was nearly spent, he revealed that he had counted on another arrival and looked toward the Sea of Worlds.
Roland summoned Shitianwu, a Contract Spirit whose power matched the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven, and refined him instantly after revealing that his cosmology had already incorporated the ultimate expression of Magnetic Field The Strong. Earlier, Aleister and Lilith witnessed the world's magic being sealed by the Artificial Heaven Project, while Aiwass explained how magnetic field rotation could eventually return.
Shitianwu sacrificed himself to save Roland, restoring his strength and awakening the Imitation Creation Star Map as Roland began ascending toward a multiversal cosmology. The Serpent of the Sixth Heaven attacked him during the transformation but realized his power could not stop Roland’s evolution.
Roland ascended into a newborn multiversal god and overwhelmed the Serpent of the Sixth Heaven. He destroyed the serpent, ending their conflict and leaving him alone amid the Sea of Worlds.
After defeating the threat, Roland restored the A Certain Magical Index World, revived the dead, and returned its Phases to their original states. As magic entered public life and Misaki Shokuhou took charge of the Blue Dream Company, Kamijou Touma arrived with a new power gathering in his right hand, suggesting a promising future.
Aoko Aozaki returned to the mansion and told Alice Kuonji that Dead Apostle Ancestors existed in the current World Line, unlike the future she had seen. They discovered that the Holy Church had confirmed Roland, victor of the Fifth Holy Grail War, as a living saint, leaving Aoko shocked by his status.
Roland traveled to a church school to receive his investiture document as a Living Saint, while Father Dawnh arrived with a trailer full of Holy Relics and weapons. After Roland unloaded the cargo with a casual gesture, Dawnh recognized the miracle associated with Roland’s right hand.
The Holy Church recognized Roland as a living Saint after he demonstrated that he could reproduce the Church’s miracles, then appointed him its Walks the Earth with broad authority. As Roland prepared to involve himself in the Burial Agency, Priest Dawn realized that Roland intended to reform its dangerous Unifier, Narbareck.
Roland watched Priest Dawnh leave, then recalled how the Church and Mage's Association concealed supernatural disasters from the public. While Roland was with Shiki Ryougi, Root Shiki took control of her body and revealed that she had come to discuss Roland's connection to the Root.
Roland discussed his need for a path beyond his perfect multiversal power with {Shiki}, who explained that his past use of Made in Heaven had already brought him into contact with a greater rule. They identified the beings that governed infinite parallel worlds as incomplete {Star Spirits}.
Roland learned from {Shiki} why Gaia and Alaya had failed to mature into Star Spirits: they had emerged alongside humanity and became locked in a struggle for survival. {Shiki} explained that Roland could reshape Type-Moon’s relationship between its main timeline and parallel worlds because he was an outsider whose origins and powers were bound to the setting, leaving him as the pillar supporting its future growth.
{Shiki} explained that Roland’s influence had created a World Line where Type-Moon could combine possibilities from both Fate and Tsukihime, setting him up to become its ultimate endpoint. Roland realized that the key divergence was the Fate–Tsukihime split, while {Shiki Ryougi} hinted that she had quietly prepared something for him.
Roland spent time with {Shiki Ryougi}, who explained that the forces surrounding him would eventually be drawn into the timeline centered on him. Following Church records on the Dead Apostle Ancestors, Roland encountered Cath Palug, who led him to a church and a mysterious black-haired girl.
Roland encountered Altrouge Brunestud, the Black Princess, outside a church and learned that she had destroyed a priest who tried to become a Dead Apostle. After Altrouge ordered Fou to kill him, Roland remained facing the threat.
Roland faced Cath Palug, the White Beast and first Dead Apostle Ancestor, while Altrouge Brunestud watched. Roland’s power left Cath Palug helpless, and the chapter ended with him hurling the transformed beast through the battlefield in a spinning charge.
