Flesh Echo
"Uh, no." The man in the black trench coat holding the pistol shook his head with a strange expression. "Those Cultist are all unconscious..."
"Um?"
"Um."
"... Keep an eye on him, I'm going to check on him."
At the same time, using "Psychological Invisibility," Lorry passed by the two "Arbiter" and glanced at the unconscious Arthur with a complicated expression.
He sighed silently in his heart:
"The Shaman was strong enough; it took two Beyonder to defeat him."
"If the ' Interrogator ' doesn't come, the ' Sheriff ' will probably be in danger; he's no match for the ' Shaman ' who has a territory."
"I wonder what it's like in other places?"
The aged voice comforted:
"Don't worry, starting with the ' Sheriff,' the ' Arbiter ' has the ability to sense crime, and MI9 has no shortage of ' Arbiter.'"
"MI9 must have dispersed its members to various locations, so that once a crime is detected, they will immediately converge on the nearest location."
"Based on my years of experience coaching Vera, this riot could be declared over as soon as it began. Don't underestimate them."
"What you should be thinking about now is how to find that neighbor."
"Hmm." Lorry nodded slightly, without saying anything more.
He listened carefully for a moment, then walked toward the nearest source of the riot.
With the speed boost from "gliding," Lorry quickly arrived at the rioting Factory and saw a "Sheriff" lying in a pool of blood.
He suddenly appeared, and a Wind Blade easily severed the "Shaman's" head.
The Believer, their eyes bloodshot and bulging, saw that Lorry had killed their Mentor. Their expressions were fanatical as they charged forward, brandishing all sorts of weapons.
Lorry had originally planned to hold back and use "Fear" to knock them unconscious, just like before, but after seeing the bloodstains on their weapons, he immediately changed his mind.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh!
Azure Wind Blade danced across the sky, effortlessly reaping lives like the Grim Reaper.
Death, however, could not deter them.
Living Believer continued to flock to the temple.
The aged voice pointed out:
"They must have been affected by spells like 'bloodlust' and 'berserk,' which exploit their physical potential and Burning their sanity, just like you, before they set off."
"A swift resolution is needed to avoid the need for other ' Arbiter ' to arrive."
Lorry nodded silently, and the Wind Blade ' attacks became even more ferocious.
After dealing with the murderers, he forced himself to endure the pungent smell of blood and looked around. He discovered that the Factory workers had been wiped out long before he arrived, and some of the women had been stripped naked and clearly had been violated. Even so, these irrational Cultist still did not let them go.
"Dying so easily is too good for you..."
A flicker of disgust crossed Lorry's dark eyes, and he muttered something under his breath.
He sighed, looked at the tragically dead "Sheriff," strode over, and closed the man's unseeing eyes.
Clearly, this person was unlucky and didn't receive reinforcements from his colleagues.
A "Sheriff" lacking effective means of attack is clearly no match for a "Shaman" when firearms are ineffective.
At this moment, glowing objects appeared on the Corpse of the "Sheriff".
Its appearance resembles a child's fist, and it is composed of three colors: iron black and dark red surrounded by large areas of silver-white.
"Consider this a reward for avenging you..." Lorry's eyes flickered slightly as he bent down, picked it up, and put it in his pocket.
He didn't linger and continued flying to the next place of unrest.
Twenty minutes later.
Lorry once again helped an unknown MI9 member eliminate his opponent and then quietly slipped away using the "Shadow Ring".
"This can't go on," he muttered to himself.
"First of all, we have absolutely no idea how many teams Fantasy Society split into, or which Factory they are planning to attack. Searching for them one by one would be too much of a waste of time."
"And more importantly, the Archbishop may not have any intention of showing himself at all. If he's hiding behind the scenes, we won't be able to find him."
"Old Gentleman, besides divination, are there any other methods?"
The aged voice said irritably:
"Can't you use your own brain? I'm just a Sealed Artifact."
Upon hearing the reply "the Curse of Knowledge," Lorry immediately understood that this was a sign that the other party had no other choice.
Otherwise, it should instinctively correct itself.
He sighed silently and began to think seriously.
First, we can rule out "divination," as neither I nor the "Curse of Knowledge" possess it, nor can I quickly find a "Seer" lady or Klein.
Searching for a needle in a haystack like this is also not feasible.
After much deliberation, Lorry finally turned his attention to the "Calm Mask."
To be precise, they were after "Flesh Echo".
He had this idea when he broke into Miles' house a few days ago, trying to find things like hair in Miles' Bedroom or bathroom.
Unfortunately, there was no result.
Miles appears to have deliberately cleaned these things up.
Therefore, he had no choice but to abandon his plan to use this method to find people. Picking it up again now is a last resort.
"Besides his house, where else could these things be found? Miles doesn't seem to have any women, and he usually goes out to eat."
"That Inn in the West Borough? I do know the location, but so much time has passed, I'm afraid it's long gone."
As Lorry thought this, his brows gradually furrowed.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up as he thought of a possible place.
My own home!
When he used to live on Iris Street, Miles visited him quite frequently, coming over every few days to sit for a while.
Although his own window was broken, the damage wasn't too severe, and it was clear that there hadn't been a burglary. His own black hair, the Lieutenant Colonel's brown hair, and Miles ' blond hair were very different, which meant that if a blond, medium-length hair was found in the Sofa area, its owner would undoubtedly be Miles!
Thinking of this, Lorry's heart stirred, and he immediately stroked the White Bone Ring.
"Teleportation!"
Soon, he appeared on the first floor of the house at 64 Iris Street, quickly went straight to the Sofa area for guests, and began rummaging through the Long Sofa.
"Found it!"
With his exceptional eyesight, Lorry easily spotted half a golden hair hidden in the crevice of the Sofa cushion and carefully removed it.
He took a deep breath and Teleportation back to the Factory.
Donning the "Calm Mask," Lorry, following the knowledge it bestowed upon him, began performing the "Flesh Echo" ritual using Spirituality rich materials.
The golden hair Burning rapidly within the Altar, turning to ashes.
At the same time, he suddenly felt a strange sensation in his mind, as if a one-way thread was pulling at a certain place on the other end.
"The general location is the East Borough... Miles, could it really be you?"
After a moment of silence, Lorry gathered all the Sealed Artifact he might need and, relying on some unseen connection, Teleportation directly to that location.
After a few breaths, he found himself in a fairly large apartment room, where a man wearing a black Hooded Robe was sitting on a single bed.
The other person's hood was not pulled up, clearly revealing their entire face.
He was his neighbor Miles!
