Lorry's outrageous maneuver
Lorry pursed his lips and spoke in a strange tone:
Since the items are already discounted, there's no need to give away a free gift.
"You agree, right?"
A free gift? What free gift? What does he mean? A series of question marks popped into Leonard's mind, and he felt that the other party's words were inexplicable.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind, and he remembered the Old Man who was Parasitism him:
"You tampered with the ' Fire Seed '?"
The aged voice ignored him and sighed softly.
A transparent worm with twelve rings popped out from the black "Fire Seed" glove and crawled into Leonard's body.
"Thanks."
Lorry nodded and smiled politely, then took out six thousand pounds in banknotes from his "Lucky Money Bag" and arranged them neatly in a row on the Tea Table table.
Thankfully, two pieces of news that were of absolutely no value to me saved me a thousand pounds, so my wallet wasn't too empty, though it still dropped below two thousand...
He glanced at the banknotes on the Tea Table with a pained expression, took the "Fire Seed" gloves, put them on, stood up again, and nodded to Leonard.
I apologize for the intrusion.
"Next time, I'll have someone deliver the message in advance."
After saying that, he suddenly disappeared under the watchful eyes of the homeowner.
Along with that Black Gloves.
Leonard stared blankly at the scene, his gaze shifting between the slight indentation on the Long Sofa and the banknotes on the Tea Table, his brows furrowing deeply.
The other party disappeared without any warning.
If he weren't absolutely certain that his memory was intact, and if the evidence before him wasn't overwhelming, he might have thought tonight's experience was a hallucination.
After a moment of silence, Leonard couldn't help but ask:
"Old Man, what Paths of the Divine's power is this?"
"Also, I remember you said last time that he was just a ' Marauder ' Sequence 7, so how was he able to detect your tampering?"
The aged voice said irritably:
"So many questions, does he really think he's my grandson?"
"Think for yourself."
Leonard, feeling rebuffed, chuckled dryly and began to recall their previous exchange, muttering, "Power Above the Sequence?"
"Not bad, very clever indeed," the aged voice mocked. "Anyone else would have noticed something was wrong when they failed to lure him into Dream Infiltration."
"Huh?" Leonard opened his mouth in confusion.
"Sigh..." the aged voice sighed, asking speechlessly, "Haven't you realized yet that what just came wasn't a human?"
"If he's not human, why did you drag him into your Dream Infiltration?"
Not human... Leonard was embarrassed. He hadn't really noticed and assumed that the other party had prepared in advance or had Sealed Artifact that could suppress the "Nightmare" ability.
"What is that? A clone? Marionette?"
After a few seconds of silence, the aged voice said:
"It must be something imagined."
"Otherwise, I wouldn't mind taking some risks Parasitism him, cough... at worst, I'll give my body back to him after I find out what I want to know."
The Old Man seemed a little lacking in confidence... Leonard's eyes flickered.
He recalled the other person's earlier mention of "fantasy" and was about to ask further questions when he suddenly heard an old, cold laugh echo in his mind:
"Don't wear your intentions on your sleeve all the time. If I haven't told you something, it means it's not right for you to know now or you can't afford the cost of knowing."
"Of course, if you insist, I can grant your request."
He added, somewhat annoyed.
Meanwhile, another Dimension.
Lorry put on the black "Fire Seed" gloves, looked at the guy opposite him who looked exactly like him, and a slight smile appeared on his lips:
"Well done."
He snapped his fingers with a cheerful tone.
Bang!
The Illusions vanished instantly, like smoke.
Lorry stroked the White Bone Ring, using his "Fantasy Materialization" ability as a "Literature Lover" to conjure up tables, chairs, and a light source, then sat down to think quietly.
This deal brought him an unexpected surprise.
Lorry realized he seemed to have made an empirical Error, underestimating the "Shaman" Pathway because of Altair's performance.
Or rather, it wasn't given enough attention.
This statement might be more accurate.
He attributed the power of the "Book of Dimensions" more to the fact that this Sealed Artifact corresponds to the Demigod level, but ignored the Pathway obtaining it.
For example, the "reporter's" "Truth Insight" is a skill that Lorry uses quite frequently, but its development level is far from sufficient.
Before today, he always used it as a "true sight" in the game to counter abilities like "Invisibility," "shadows," or "Psychological Invisibility."
But "Truth Insight" is not that simple.
Lorry's original plan was to have Fors visit Leonard and use Klein as an intermediary to eliminate any potential threats.
When faced with the situation, he voluntarily gave up, worried that the other party would be hurt.
Therefore, they began to reconsider how to proceed with the transaction.
Lorry pinned his hopes on the "Book of Dimensions" and the "Curse of Knowledge," and through constant exploration, he came up with a plan to trade using Illusions.
Illusions lack Spirit Body, Astral Body, Mental Body, or Ether Body, and are naturally immune to Hypnosis, Dream Infiltration, and other methods, including Parasitism.
As Illusions of Lorry's imagination, unless fatally injured, life and death, and any action, are entirely at his own discretion.
This is why Leonard's attack failed, and also why Pallez didn't directly Parasitism, but instead hid the Worm of Time inside the "Fire Seed" glove.
But the latter's methods could not fool the imagined "Painter Lorry."
"Truth Insight" can not only see "Invisibility," but also the Spirit Body Threads, and even Pallez Parasitism Leonard!
This is why "Painter Lorry" was able to catch the other party red-handed.
The reason for his sudden disappearance at the end is that Lorry witnessed the entire process from beginning to end and dragged the Illusions and the "Fire Seed" glove into another Dimension after the transaction was completed.
The "Book of Dimensions" is Sealed Artifact at the Demigod level.
It's not difficult to do this.
In fact, if it weren't for Lorry's lack of Spirituality, his limit would have been to actively drag the Demigod into the "Book of Dimensions," achieving a different kind of Banishment.
Only a select few Pathway Beyonder, such as "Apprentice" or those who possess similar Sealed Artifact, can actively escape their captivity.
Of course, even if Pallez Zoroaster, in his normal state, couldn't attack Lorry across Dimension, he could theoretically detect something amiss.
Unfortunately, His current strength is far from restoring to the level of Angel.
Huff... Lorry exhaled slowly, a smile appearing on his lips:
"In any case, we got the desired Sealed Artifact without any major incidents. Now we just have to wait for ' Vice Admiral Iceberg ' to arrange everything properly."
Before that, let's make things difficult for the Pirate of "City of Generosity".
With that page of Roselle's Diary as Bait, Klein probably won't let this opportunity slip by, so he might still be able to face "Iron" and his crew.
This is my chance.
