Shadow Merchant
As they walked through a Broadleaf Forest, Lorry seemed unable to control the bloating in his lower abdomen. He glanced around and then quickly walked in.
He came to a thick, sturdy tree and reached for his belt.
In the shadows not far away, the group exchanged glances, all seeing the same meaning on each other's faces, and simultaneously revealed sinister smiles.
The bald, burly man at the head of the group, dressed as a fisherman, pulled a gleaming blade from behind his waist and swung it downwards with force.
Immediately, a figure vanished into thin air.
After waiting for two seconds, the other four people dispersed in two directions, using the darkness and the grass as cover to silently approach the figure in front of them.
Swish!
A cold light suddenly shone in the darkness.
Lorry's figure burst instantly, like a fully inflated balloon.
A desperate cry rang out in the darkness:
"Not good!
"This is fake, we've been fooled!"
The speaker was none other than the figure who had just vanished into thin air. His face was filled with panic, and he decisively turned and leaped to the side, disappearing into the darkness once more.
At the same time as his warning rang out, a gunshot that nearly shattered eardrums also rang out.
"Bang bang!"
Two bursts of blood bloomed almost simultaneously, followed by two Explosion. The bald, burly man dressed as a fisherman and the gaunt young man dressed as a native a few meters away were shot in the chest, most of their chests were blown open, and their shattered internal organs were scattered all over the ground. They collapsed to the ground with a thud before they could even make a sound.
Lorry emerged from behind the tree, his gaze sweeping across the darkness, and with the "Marauder's " "Exceptional Observation," he quickly locked onto the other three.
Even though one of them used a kind of "Invisibility" ability, the light emitted by the valuable items he carried still gave away his location.
Lorry charged forward several meters, raised his hand and fired a shot that shattered half of the opponent's back. Then, without hesitation, he turned his gun around and fired two more shots.
The battle is over.
It lasts no more than thirty seconds from beginning to end.
While the "Sure-Hit Revolver" may seem less powerful compared to other Sealed Artifact, it's undeniable that it can be quite useful in certain situations.
For example, when cleaning up these small fish.
"With its inherent power, plus the effects of 'guaranteed hit,' ' Burning, ' and ' Explosion,' it can almost instantly kill most Sequence 7 attacks when a vital point is locked on."
"Most importantly, it places very little burden on Spirituality; it only requires a small amount of Spirituality when locking onto the firing position."
With that thought flashing through his mind, Lorry glanced around, picked up the God Revolver, and walked towards the three Corpse not far away.
He went back and forth several times, moving the Corpse together, crossing his arms over his chest, and patiently waiting for the Beyonder Characteristic to be extracted.
Nights on colonial islands are never peaceful, especially in such remote places, where brawls and gunfights often occur without attracting official intervention.
Perhaps in their view, there's no need to interfere in such matters at all.
Pirate and Gang are just dead, that's all.
put one's oar in?
What's there to interfere with?
They just wished more people had died, and that it hadn't happened quickly enough.
Half a minute later, Lorry twisted his neck, making two cracking sounds, then chuckled softly, as if talking to thin air:
"Friend, you've been spying for a long time."
"Not planning to show yourself yet? Are you expecting me to shoot you?"
After the words were spoken, the air was silent for a few seconds, then a surprised voice rang out from not far away. "You were able to detect my presence?"
As they spoke, a figure shrouded in a black robe appeared in the slightly Distortion shadow beneath a broad-leaved tree about twenty meters away.
He appeared to be of mixed race, with a brownish complexion but a head of beautiful, shoulder-length blond hair. His eyes, though small, sparkled and gave him a shrewd and capable look.
Ignoring Lorry's indifference, he proactively flashed a bright smile:
"Although Zamir and his gang like to double-cross each other, which makes them the laughingstock of many of their peers, the fact that they've survived this long is enough to prove something."
"Their team of five consisted entirely of Beyonder, including one Sequence 7, two Sequence 8, and two Sequence 9. They had hunted Sequence 6 Beyonder several times with a success rate of over 50%, and had even ambushed Sequence 5 Beyonder. Although they were unsuccessful, there were no casualties."
"I never imagined that they would all die at your hands in less than a minute."
"As expected of the legendary Beyonder who defeated ' Bonebreaker ' Sebas in a one-on-one battle, ' Flower Bow Tie ' Jodson."
Lorry was silent for a few seconds, then asked in a low voice:
"Zamir, the ' Death Vulture ' with Bounty of 3,000 pounds?"
Since arriving at sea, he had been intentionally or unintentionally collecting information about Pirate bounties, so he had some recollection of this nickname.
"That's right."
The blond man smiled and nodded, introducing Self: "I'm Chandler, a black market dealer, but I prefer you call me the Shadow Merchant."
"Heh, you know, black market dealers can only live in the shadows."
Upon hearing this, Lorry frowned slightly, sensing that the other person's words had a hidden meaning, and vaguely felt a strange feeling that was difficult to describe in words.
But upon closer reflection, it doesn't seem to be a problem.
It's not just black market merchants like them who live in hiding, lurking in the shadows; this is the norm for most wild Beyonder as well.
Not wanting to make things harder for himself, he asked expressionlessly:
"So, what's up?"
"Since Self introduce myself as a businessman, I naturally want to make a deal with you," Chandler replied without hesitation, his smile still bright.
Lorry thought for two seconds and decided to see what the other party was up to:
"I'm used to listening first, then making a choice."
"Of course, clearly displaying prices is a fundamental quality of a qualified businessman." As he spoke, Chandler's gaze swept across Zamir's face:
"I'll offer you three thousand pounds for his head."
Three thousand pounds? Lorry couldn't help but squint, remaining silent.
Chandler wasn't in a hurry and didn't urge him.
The air was silent for almost half a minute before Lorry gently shook his head. "Sorry, I have no interest in making a deal with someone I've just met."
A flicker of surprise flashed across Chandler's brown eyes. After a moment of stiffness, he smiled and said, "Okay, then let's work together again next time."
After saying that, he turned around decisively and strode forward.
"He really left like that?" Lorry frowned, still pondering what had just happened until Chandler had completely disappeared from sight.
The head of "Death Vulture" Zamir has a bounty of three thousand pounds, but this person is willing to spend three thousand pounds to buy it, making it a complete waste of time and effort.
What's in it for him?
If there weren't hidden circumstances unknown to outsiders, Zamir's actual Bounty Amount would be far more than three thousand pounds, which suggests he must have had ulterior motives.
This deal is bizarre in every way; doing nothing is the right choice.
Moreover, something even stranger happened: when I spotted him using "Exceptional Observation," I didn't immediately fire a shot?
