Fishing
"You, cough, what kind of news would you like to hear? Things haven't been peaceful at the Sonia Sea lately," the Bartender asked with a forced smile.
Lorry took a sip of Beer and said calmly:
"Casual."
"Whatever..." The Bartender's expression froze.
If it were anyone else saying that, he would have already cursed them out. If the other person was not convinced, he would have called the guards to beat them up and throw them out into the alley where everyone urinates. His boss dared to open a bar here, so he was obviously not a simple character.
But the person who said this was the currently trending "Flower Bow Tie," so he could only chuckle awkwardly and try to guess what the other person might be interested in.
After a brief silence, he cleared his throat:
"Your captain led the ' Golden Dream ' on a sortie with the Loen's ironclad fleet a few days ago, destroying two escort ships and swaggering away."
"Some people claim to have seen them on the route to Graggs Port."
"Yesterday or the day before, a passenger ship was almost robbed by the ' Blood Pirates ' in the nearby waters. It is rumored that they had docked in Private Harbor."
"A Pirate got drunk last night and boasted that he saw someone on the ' Flower of the Plateau,' who he suspected was their second captain."
Damian Lorry, the second captain of the "Blood Pirates" and Wax Sculptor with Bounty of 9,000 pounds, had a sudden thought and raised his gaze to look behind the bar:
"Suspected?"
The Bartender nodded slightly and explained awkwardly:
Yes, suspected.
"As you should also know, this Great Pirate, like the former ' Vice Admiral Hurricane,' possesses the ability to perfectly disguise himself as other people."
"The drunkard claimed he had drunk with the ' Wax Sculptor ' at the Pirate Gathering, and that's why he remembered the sculptor's uniquely sweet taste."
"Perfectly disguised as someone else?" Is the Wax Sculptor Damian a "Faceless," or Sealed Artifact created with corresponding characteristics?
Judging from the smell left behind when I passed by, it doesn't sound very reliable, but I can try my luck later.
Thinking this, Lorry calmly took a sip of his Southville Beer:
What is the "Flower of the Plateau"?
"You don't know ' Flower of the Plateau '?" The Bartender paused for a moment, then his eyes lit up with a knowing look, and he instantly became interested.
"This is the best brothel on Dilinus Island, where the girls are all Black Pearl Beauties with skin as smooth as silk."
"They were all tall, with big eyes and high noses, and they were hot and passionate, arousing men's desire to conquer them more than girls from other places."
"The only downside is that if the performance doesn't satisfy them, they'll refuse to provide service next time unless you pay more."
He spoke with a hint of gritted teeth as he mentioned the last few words.
So you're one of the victims? How about learning about the "Apothecary's" miraculous potion? Lorry silently grumbled to himself, tapping the bar with his Beer glass.
"Um, I overheard the last sentence from other colleagues chatting." The Bartender snapped out of his daze, unable to resist offering a defense, and continued:
"Furthermore, several people claim to have seen the First Mate of the flagship ' Vice Admiral Dusk,' ' Bloodblade ' Savi and his men this afternoon on the streets near ' Flower of the Plateau.' They visited several local strongmen, and it's speculated that they were trying to find ' Wax Sculptor ' Damian."
"The one with the Bounty of eight thousand seven hundred pounds?" Lorry asked casually.
The Bartender was taken aback for a moment, then looked over with a strange expression.
No, aren't you supposed to be treasure Hunter and part-time Pirate? Why is your first thought when talking about your peers their Bounty?
"Do you consider a bounty a type of treasure?" He muttered to himself, then let out a forced laugh and nodded slightly.
"It's him."
After saying that, he shut his mouth.
Lorry glanced at him. "That's it?"
"That's all." The Bartender shook his head. "The other news is either pure rumor or too low-brow to be of any interest to you."
"Uh, the rest are all messages from Bayam, you probably don't need them."
Lorry nodded silently, took out a one-pound coin from his pocket, and pushed it over.
"One of your specialties, and a Southville Beer, please. The rest will be your payment for the information I gathered, plus your tip."
As he spoke, he glanced at a corner, then turned back and said:
"Send it there."
The Bartender deftly flicked his wrist, and the banknotes on the bar disappeared, his smile many times brighter than before.
"Okay, please wait a moment."
Without turning his head, Lorry raised his hand and walked towards the chosen location.
Judging from the Bounty Amount amounts, "Wax Sculptor" Damian and "Bloodblade" Savi should both be at the Sequence 6 level, but it's unclear what their specific Pathway are... The real "Flower Bow Tie" should know, but the problem is I'm not... Perhaps I can try contacting Edwina... While waiting for food, Lorry wandered, and he decided to consult his captain before starting the hunt.
Soon, the Bartender, who had just received a tip, came over carrying a wooden tray filled with their signature grilled meats and fish, along with a glass of Southville Beer.
As he bent down to set out the food, he lowered his voice and said quickly:
"After you left the bar, several guys walked out the door but didn't come back—if they were taking care of their business, it wouldn't have taken so long."
Several eyes glanced at them, seemingly casually, but the Bartender didn't dare to show it too obviously. He nonchalantly took away the wooden tray and turned back to the bar.
This is the power of money... Lorry glanced at the other person's back without leaving a trace, chuckled inwardly, then scanned the room before slowly looking away.
He cut off a sizzling, oily piece of grilled fish, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, put it in his mouth, chewed it a few times, and swallowed it, revealing a satisfied expression.
Then, he rinsed his mouth with Beer and slowly picked up a skewer of grilled meat.
The Bartender meant well, but he wasn't going to listen.
He didn't bother with any disguise, deliberately showing up at the bar with that face and wearing that fancy bow tie—wasn't it all just to fish for fish?
If you leave beforehand, how will the fish bite?
These are all potential Bounty, Beyonder Characteristic, and Sealed Artifact.
As his thoughts raced, the sizable portions of grilled meat and fish were soon emptied. Lorry tilted his head back, downed the last few sips of Beer, and staggered outside.
Night had already fallen, and perhaps a heavy rain was brewing, for the Red Moon was nowhere to be seen, and there were hardly any the Star.
Except for a few scattered kerosene streetlights, most of the area was in darkness.
Lorry glanced around, choosing the southwest direction which seemed more remote and sparsely populated. He pretended to be alert and looked back at the bar before walking quickly forward.
Fishing is a skill.
If Great Pirate with Bounty of several thousand pounds doesn't even have the most basic vigilance, then his act is a bit over the top and might scare the fish away.
He's just right, not too much, not too little.
