The old man glared at him:

"That thing has been eaten to extinction long ago, where am I supposed to get it for you?"

"Of course I have! Didn't I eat it once back then?" Danitz retorted.

The old man chuckled, "So you know it was back then?"

He looked up and glanced towards the door, then said irritably, "You come up here asking all sorts of questions. You're not just here to patronize my business, are you?"

Danitz's eyes flickered slightly:

Asking you all sorts of questions... isn't that also helping your business?

The old man looked away, stretched out his wrinkled right hand, and shakily picked up a faded pen, opened the ledger, and crossed out a few lines of words.

He then closed the ledger and exclaimed:

"Then you've come to the wrong place. I only run Inn now."

"Ask around like that, you should go find those informants. I'm an Old Man with one foot in the underworld, I want a few more days of peace." Danitz paused for a few seconds, then said, "Huh?"

"You changed careers?"

The old man scoffed and ignored him.

Seeing this, Danitz gave an awkward smile and turned to look at Lorry; Lorry nodded almost imperceptibly, glancing towards the stairs.

The lobby was filled with gleaming tables and chairs, clearly intended for use as Restaurant; the guest rooms were on the second and third floors. "Alright, sir, we'll go upstairs and put our things down first."

As he spoke, Danitz thought for a moment, then took out a handful of Verl D'Or from his pocket and placed them on the counter; they came in denominations of 1, 5, and 10.

"I'm going out for a bit later. Make a few of your best dishes, save some for my friend, and put the rest in the main hall. I'll have a couple of drinks with you."

The old man glanced at Verl D'Or in front of him, but didn't reach out to brush him away, saying disdainfully, "Who wants to have a couple of drinks with you? I'm going out dancing later."

"Take it away, take it away, don't bother this old man for no reason."

"Then consider it payment for the next few days' room." A hint of Awkwardness flashed across Danitz's face. He quickly put it away, then turned and went upstairs without looking back.

"That's just the old guy's personality; he likes to joke around." Reaching the second floor, Danitz suddenly coughed and said to Lorry.

I don't know if he likes to joke, but I know you're trying to save face... Lorry found it quite amusing and secretly grumbled to himself. Perhaps sensing that Lorry believed him, Danitz didn't continue the topic, opening his mouth as if to speak but then glancing left and right.

He found all the doors to the rooms on the second floor wide open and fell silent again.

A few seconds later, he sighed:

"This Inn was very successful back then."

Lorry glanced at him sideways and said quietly, "I thought you guessed it down there, which is why I deliberately left that coin behind."

At dinner time in the evening, there wasn't a single customer dining in the lobby.

Business was clearly slow.

"Yes... isn't it because I don't want to believe it?" Danitz said wistfully.

He shook his head, as if trying to shake off this emotion, and sighed:

"The uncle has excellent social skills and keen observation abilities; he can often glean useful information from casual conversations that others might not even notice." If he's willing to help, our trip might be much easier.

It's a pity he's no longer in that line of work.

"Back then, he was the most skilled intelligence broker on Norgar Island. He not only had good relationships with the navy and Pirate, but he was also friends with many natives." He added, "..."

"I learned my Norgar Language from him."

Norgar Language? Refers to a fusion of Intisian and indigenous languages? That's quite fitting... Lorry raised an eyebrow. "It seems you two get along very well."

"The kind of thinking you have."

"You could have simply omitted the second half of the sentence," Danitz said irritably, ceasing his discussion of the old man downstairs and getting down to business.

"Let's go back to the room and put our things away. Then we'll head to the bar street. I'll see if I can find some acquaintances and ask them to introduce me to some reliable information brokers."

Lorry nodded slightly, indicating that he had no objection.

A moment later.

The two came out of their respective rooms and walked down the stairs one after the other.

As they passed the counter, the old man suddenly called out to them:

"Wait a minute! You two are just planning to go to the bar street like this?"

As he spoke, he tapped the table. "' Flames ' Danitz, Bounty 5,500 pounds. Did you really think nobody here remembers you, kid?" Lorry's gaze swept over and saw a copy of the Rorsted Archipelago Newspaper spread out in front of the old man, and the wanted poster he had just read was from it.

However, no mention was made of Jodson's bounty, probably because there was no photo on the wanted poster and he had changed into a plain-colored bow tie.

Danitz was visibly taken aback. "How come there's Rorsted Archipelago Newspaper here?"

Why is this guy's focus so strange...? Is this even the important thing...? Lorry sighed silently, feeling speechless, and glanced at Danitz.

The old man said irritably:

"Nonsense, although this place isn't in a safe shipping lane, it's not completely isolated from the outside world. Pirate, the navy, and caravans all bring things from outside."

"It's just a Newspaper; you can buy it from them for a small amount of money."

"However, the frequency is unstable. Sometimes it's every ten days or half a month, sometimes it's one or two months, and sometimes it's only once every three or five months."

A simple wanted poster isn't the problem; the key issue is that someone here might remember this guy... And before he disembarked, he was so confident he didn't need to disguise himself...

The thought flashed through his mind, Lorry coughed lightly. "Go back and pretend."

Danitz chuckled dryly, did not refuse, and turned to go upstairs.

On the bar street, Holy Water Bar. Lorry ordered their signature "Sun Holy Water" and was surprised to find that this fiery red cocktail tasted quite good with the orange slice.

It has a sweet and sour taste, and leaves you feeling warm and cozy after drinking it.

At this moment, Danitz suddenly leaned forward and lowered his voice, saying:

"I've found someone I know from before. You wait here, I'll find an opportunity to go over and talk to him, see if I can get some help."

Lorry took two sips of the "Sun Holy Water" and nodded almost imperceptibly.

Seeing this, Danitz walked over to the young man in his twenties who was wearing a white shirt and loose black trousers, whom he had just pointed out, and greeted him.
