"Achoo!" Heath sneezed, then rubbed his nose. Mr. Cord cast him a concerned look.
"Have you caught a cold, Heath?" Heath felt a force circle his body, and he felt considerably more comfortable. He knew Mr. Cord had used Heal Pulse on him, but because Heath was human, it was not actually very effective.
Mr. Cord was extremely knowledgeable and knew many moves, even Heal Pulse. Heath was a little curious about what had prompted Cord to learn a move like that in the first place.
Heath smiled gratefully, then glanced overhead. It was summer, and although Viridian City was still experiencing Huinantian weather, today was a rare sunny day, and the temperature was not low either. Heath did not quite understand why he would have caught a cold, though his head did not feel uncomfortable.
"Mr. Cord, how do you like this rice bowl with pickled vegetables and minced meat?" Heath looked at Mr. Cord with a smile. Business in Viridian City was not very good. For once, even Heath's Crab Roe Soup Dumplings had not sold out, leaving Farfetch'd, who had grown accustomed to the enormous crowds at the Indigo League, feeling a little out of sorts for the first time in a while.
Heath noticed Farfetch'd even patting its own head, which made his heart ache a little. Had this poor kid gotten used to being petted by everyone? Heath even felt that the feathers on Farfetch'd's head had thinned considerably lately.
Being a Pokémon chef was difficult. It was only because this was the Pokémon world that people were not so opposed to Farfetch'd working as a chef. In his previous world, it would have been equivalent to a rat working as a chef, and customers would have concerns about food safety and hygiene.
"Very good.
