The next morning, Heath took a cruise ship back to Pallet Town. Only then did he learn that Pallet Town had a pier, though it was not very large and specifically handled boats traveling to and from Cinnabar Island. That made it rather distinctive.
"Heath, let's work together again if we get the chance." Miss Nami waved at Heath with a smile. Mr. Giovanni was not aboard. To be precise, he had already left on his Flying-type Pokémon that morning. Apparently, a challenger had arrived in Viridian City whose strength warranted having the Gym Leader personally face them.
"Of course, Miss Nami. See you next time we get the chance." Heath chuckled. In reality, when they would work together again depended on when Heath drew an upgrade blueprint for his food truck. Only after he drew one would Silph Co.'s staff probably receive a sudden flash of "inspiration," make what Heath needed, then approach him as a natural next step.
After watching Miss Nami leave, Heath let out a breath, then glanced at his empty food truck and scratched his head. After enduring the Technology Expo's crowds for the past three days, he actually felt a little unused to having so few customers. Still, once Farfetch'd completed its task, Heath thought it would be time to leave Pallet Town. He planned to head to Pewter City as soon as possible, where he could also see Brock. Heath was quite curious about how Brock had been doing lately. Or was Brock still in Viridian City, apprenticing under Giovanni?
"Then next up is heading to... Hmm, no, the market won't open for another fifty-something minutes." Heath checked his phone. There was still some time before Pallet Town's market opened. If he went now, he figured he would probably just find it closed
