"They're coming! They're coming!"
IBoy practically shouted.
That lunatic on the other side really was going to dive them under their turret!
"Don't panic. I'm already here," Clearlove said grimly. He didn't dare walk straight out of the river, afraid of repeating what had happened at level three and getting all-inned when the enemy turned on him.
Instead, he went around the Blue Buff area and emerged from the brush beside the outer turret.
That delay gave Ning Wang's Jarvan IV enough time to arrive too.
"I know what to do."
Baolan's Alistar led the charge, opening with Flash and knocking both iBoy and Meiko into the air with Q, then immediately activating E and his Ultimate!
In fact, iBoy already had his finger on E. He was confident he could dodge Alistar's Q-W combo.
What he hadn't expected was that Baolan had no intention of surviving this dive. He was there purely to set it up, and he used Flash without hesitation!
Whoosh!
A spinning axe slammed down onto Ezreal's head, instantly wiping out almost two segments of his health bar!
Draven's items were already absurd enough to include a Bloodthirster. His damage was beyond comprehension!
IBoy nearly gasped, frantically hammering E. "Save me!"
But before he could even land-
Ning Wang's Jarvan IV Flashed forward too, knocking them up again with an E-Q combo before trapping them with his Ultimate, triggering Thunderlord's Decree, and following up with an auto attack to proc his passive. He unloaded everything!
Before iBoy could land, Alistar stunned him with his fully stacked E.
"I'll CC their AD!" Clearlove moved around the minions and pressed E, charging toward Draven.
Even if he didn't connect, he could at least force Draven to reposition and stop attacking Ezreal.
Unfortunately, reality rarely cooperated with plans. While Gragas was still mid-charge, a sideways-spinning axe came hurtling toward him and forcibly interrupted him!
Draven's E-Stand Aside!
Clearlove's eye twitched, but he managed to keep his composure and immediately hurled his Ultimate back at him.
He had to blast Draven away.
Even after using Heal, iBoy's squishy champion was already on his last sliver of health under the barrage from IG's trio. Another second could get him killed!
At that very instant, Lu Chen pressed his D key-Flash!
He only Flashed a short distance, but it was just enough to dodge Gragas's Ultimate. Then he hurled another axe straight at iBoy's face.
"Fuck!"
Clearlove finally lost his composure and swore aloud.
Was this guy a monster?!
His reactions were one thing, but he hadn't made a single mistake the entire time. Every move seemed to be the best possible choice!
If this hadn't been a scrim, Clearlove would have checked the other guy's computer for a USB drive.
Was he even human?
Even among professional players, who could guarantee they would stay completely focused for an entire game without making a single mistake?
Not even Faker could!
Yet that was exactly the impression this AD gave him. He genuinely couldn't spot a mistake. His movement, positioning, ability usage, and timing on damage were all perfect throughout the game.
Facing someone like that felt utterly helpless. The longer he played, the more despair crept into his heart.
At that moment-
After enduring the entire CC chain, the nearly dead Ezreal finally landed and blinked away with E.
But it was already too late. Draven's axe was already in flight, and by the time Meiko raised his shield, it had passed him.
IBoy could only watch as the spinning axe sliced through the air and landed on his head.
"IG West has slain EDG iBoy!"
At the same time, a bounty of 300 + 540 popped up above Draven's head!
Seeing that through his gray screen, iBoy's eyes filled with despair. His hands slowly left his keyboard and mouse.
He knew perfectly well that this game was lost too.
Draven had completely taken off. From here, he would snowball endlessly, and there was no stopping him.
Their only consolation was probably that Alistar had also died from tanking the turret.
"EDG Meiko has slain IG Baolan!"
And the kill had even gone to their support, Meiko...
Ning Wang's Jarvan IV quickly canceled his Ultimate and fled out of turret range.
Clearlove and Meiko simply watched him run, neither showing any intention of chasing.
"We can't fight anymore. Back off, back off," Meiko calmly instructed, abandoning any thought of keeping them there.
Their AD was dead, after all. Once Alistar died, the turret switched back to targeting minions, and they simply didn't have enough damage left.
Clearlove readily complied and headed into the jungle without looking back. He knew all his own abilities were on cooldown.
And so this scene unfolded.
Three IG players dove three EDG players and traded one kill for one. Afterward, EDG immediately ran away, leaving Draven leisurely auto-attacking the already damaged outer turret.
Only after the third minion wave arrived and was wiped out by the turret did Lu Chen finally land the last hit.
"Your team has destroyed a turret!"
First turret secured!
EDG had taken a crushing loss from that play.
Especially their bot lane. Ezreal might as well no longer exist in this game.
Missing three consecutive waves had left both his gold and experience in ruins!
Meanwhile, Draven was as fed as he could possibly be. Kills, bounties, minions, first turret...
As soon as he returned to base, Lu Chen picked up another B. F. Sword and a Cloak of Agility.
Those items at this point in the game were enough to make iBoy cry. Apart from his starting Doran's Blade, his Ezreal had nothing but a pitiful Sheen, a Tear of the Goddess, and a pair of Ninja Tabi!
Yes, Ninja Tabi...
Buying Ninja Tabi on an AD was a little humiliating.
But without them, he might have died in midair during that dive before he could even press E!
"Tsk, tsk." Ning Wang opened the scoreboard and clicked his tongue. "How are they supposed to play this? C God is already unstoppable."
"Nice dive!" Rookie laughed at just the right moment. "We made a killing there."
"Great calls, Chen," Baolan said from
beside him, grinning happily too.
These two games had been genuinely comfortable for him.
He didn't even need to think about how to play, when to engage, or where to place wards. The expert beside him directed everything!
It even gave Baolan the illusion that competitive play... could actually be this easy.
This time, even TheShy joined in with the strange Chinese he'd learned from Google. "Goot jop!"
Lu Chen was amused too. "TheShy, you didn't really learn Chinese from Google Translate, did you?"
TheShy scratched his head while continuing to play. "It translayted it. Is it not rite?"
"It's technically right." Lu Chen shrugged. "It's just impossible to understand."
For a moment, IG's entire practice room was filled with cheerful energy.
Soon, back in the game-
After returning to base, Draven headed straight to mid, while Rookie seamlessly swapped down to bot.
Across from him, Scout reluctantly opened the scoreboard to inspect his items.
"...Hiss."
He sucked in a cold breath, his expression stiffening.
It's only twelve minutes! What are those Draven items?!
You tell me-how am I supposed to play against a Draven like this?!
Before you continue
