Xu Ran held the stone Can Can had dug up, surprise and puzzlement showing on his face.
He hadn't expected to discover anything new here after the Star-Guarding Stone had been taken away hundreds of years ago.
But the resource before him was clearly quite different from a Star-Guarding Stone.
According to the Dark Demon Lion's description, the Star-Guarding Stone was a crystal, while this stone had a texture more like jade. Moreover, the Star-Guarding Stone possessed intense star power. This stone did contain star power, but not much.
Their sizes were rather different, too.
The hollow that had held the Star-Guarding Stone was large enough to fit a fist, while this little stone was only the size of a finger joint.
"Meow?" (Could it be a Star-Guarding Stone that hasn't grown yet?)
Purple Cloud offered a guess.
According to the Dark Demon Lion, Star-Guarding Stones could grow.
Perhaps this was a newly formed Star-Guarding Stone that hadn't grown up yet?
"That's possible, but unlikely." Xu Ran rubbed his chin. "Besides, with the amount of star power left in the Silent Abyss, even if it really is an immature Star-Guarding Stone, it won't have a chance to grow."
"Chirp~" (Whatever the case, this stone must have some connection to the Star-Guarding Stone.)
Twelve offered an opinion.
"True, so we've gained something, at least." Xu Ran chuckled and carefully put away the finger-joint-sized stone. "Let's check elsewhere for clues."
The human and his five beasts split up, digging through the surrounding area and leaving not even the rock walls untouched.
Yet aside from that stone, they found nothing else.
"Looks like our exploration ends here." Xu Ran sounded a little regretful. "Once we're back, we'll look into where this stone came
