Personality

Can Can is affectionate and strongly attached to Xu Ran, the first person it saw after hatching. It initially became so clingy that Purple Cloud worried about losing its place in Xu Ran’s arms 138.

Its curiosity drives an enthusiasm for travel, underground exploration, new resources, and making friends. That curiosity also makes it mischievous: it sneaks outside Demonwood City with Starlight and wants to continue frightening a group of Earth Raccoons after their first encounter 142 260 265 285.

Despite its rapid growth, Can Can remains childlike; it is already Marshal Rank while less than two months old. It can be indecisive when choosing upgrades, intimidated by Purple Cloud, and easily overwhelmed by the scale of its evolution requirements 150 167 260 324.

It is also considerate toward its companions. After feeling distressed that Purple Cloud and Starlight must win an evolution resource on its behalf, it later yields an Emperor Species evolution route to Starlight, recognizing both its seniority and greater immediate need 158 159 290.

Abilities & Skills

Size Manipulation

Heavenly Law, Earthly Form is the Four-Star successor to Miniaturization and Mount Sumeru in a Mustard Seed 149 328.

  • Shrinking improves mobility; enlargement increases physical strength 149.
  • The Three-Star version sacrifices speed, reactions, and skill-casting frequency as size increases 149.
  • The Four-Star version allows Can Can to choose which aspect is weakened, making enlargement more flexible 328.
  • Its immense size enables both mountain-destroying charges and the transportation of an entire city 252 381.

Defensive Skills

Can Can serves as the team’s principal shield, with defense explicitly identified as its greatest specialty 325.

  • Fertile Soil Bestows Its Body: Covers it in mobile, soft mud that hardens under impact and adheres to melee attackers, briefly hampering their withdrawal 150.
  • Void Soil: The Four-Star fusion upgrade of Fertile Soil Bestows Its Body 351.
  • Indestructible City: The Four-Star upgrade of Eternal Iron Wall, itself descended from Wall of Solid Rock 139 166 381.
  • Combat limitation: Before upgrading its principal defensive skill, Can Can could barely withstand an all-out attack from a Quasi-Overlord Rank opponent 351.

Earth Empowerment and Perception

Earthborn, upgraded from Earth Vein Resonance, strengthens Can Can through its connection to the earth 380.

  • Earth Vein Resonance provides recovery, self-healing, enhancement, and perception through the ground 369.
  • Its sensing locates buried resources and detects underground thunder and powerful creatures 168 260.
  • Earthborn greatly strengthens its Earth-Type Power and helps its body withstand the pressure of further enlargement 380.
  • Can Can also uses Earth Vein Resonance to clear nearby creatures from the team’s ambush site 311.

Dragon and Tortoise Power

Dragon Turtle True Form is the Four-Star successor to Dragon Tortoise’s Might 380.

  • Dragonblood Horn: Combined intimidation, self-enhancement, and taunting; consuming qualifying dragons’ blood essence strengthened it 167.
  • Dragon Tortoise’s Might: Formed when Dragonblood Horn fused naturally with Monarch’s Might during evolution. It could suppress enemies across a wide area and restrain the Thunderhowl Sky Tiger 171 180.
  • Dragon Turtle True Form: Greatly increases body size, bloodline power, and physical defense, while suppressing dragon and turtle Supernatural Creatures 380.

Land of Annihilation

A Four-Star offensive skill created by fusing Earthquake and Heaven Collapse, Earthsource Fissure, and Earth-Binding Prison 218 219 327.

  • Its component skills supplied destructive earth attacks, remotely detonated underground energy points, and area restraint 195 218 219.
  • Can Can killed the Dark Azure Thunder Dragon with Land of Annihilation 330.
  • The Illusory Thunder Lion Eagle disrupted its subsequent use through psychic power 330.

Underground Movement

Soil Fusion is the Four-Star successor to Roaming Earth, Transforming into a Pond, which developed from Burrowing 220 381.

  • Passes through soil and solid rock as the surrounding earth parts around its body 260.
  • Extends underground movement to living beings and objects in contact with Can Can 220.
  • Carries the entire team underground or travels partially submerged with its head and upper shell exposed 274 283.
  • Supports independent resource gathering, allowing unwanted finds to be exchanged for Beast Tamer Points 173.

Sky Severance

An Innate Skill acquired upon evolving into an Ancient City Turtle Dragon 381.

  • Creates an enormous domain in which flight is absolutely forbidden 381.
  • Forces airborne enemies onto the ground, where Can Can’s environmentally linked skills are more effective 381.
  • Xu Ran identifies the prohibition as applicable regardless of an opponent’s strength 381.

History

Hatching and Joining Xu Ran

Xu Ran, Purple Cloud, and Starlight chose the name Can Can with the Golden-Scaled Turtle’s agreement. The two older beasts helped raise and train it from its earliest days, treating it as a companion before the formal contract. Once Xu Ran reached Third Tier Contract Power, Can Can accepted his third contract without resistance 138 139.

Its first resource allocation supplied an evolution route. Following its seniors’ advice to prioritize potential, Can Can chose the Coiling Dragon Tortoise route and began preparing the required skills and materials 148 149.

Becoming a Coiling Dragon Tortoise

The route required Can Can to remain below Commander Rank, possess six Crescent-Level Three-Star Skills, and evolve beside buried Earth Element dragon remains. Purple Cloud and Starlight won a Bamboo-Shoot Stalagmite Root for it by defeating Qin Can’s three Contract Beasts 149 158.

During the ritual, chaotic dragon and tortoise powers caused dangerous mutations, blood loss, and weakening. Can Can stabilized itself with earth energy, then used the dragon remains’ aura as a model to separate and recombine its powers into a new order. It preserved both identities rather than abandoning its tortoise nature, successfully evolved, and immediately advanced to Commander Rank 170.

Exploration and the Extinction Thunder Guide

Underground movement and earth sensing made Can Can an increasingly important scout and resource gatherer. Its exploration near Demonwood City uncovered thunder and a powerful presence deep underground, leading Xu Ran’s team toward a guardian whose nightmares overwhelmed their protection 260 274.

Can Can later awakened Sky-Piercing Blackwood through the Beast Emperor’s Well. Its initial call fell short, but a second attempt strengthened by Starlight’s Dusk Night Emblem temporarily raised its aura to Monarch Rank and obtained a response 287.

After genuinely reaching Monarch Rank, Can Can killed the Dark Azure Thunder Dragon during the struggle for the Extinction Thunder Guide. The hidden Illusory Thunder Lion Eagle then disrupted its attack and struck it down with lightning 327 330.

Carrying Changping City

Can Can’s Emperor Species route required all seven existing Innate Skills to reach Four Stars, with at least three capable of increasing its size. Its ritual demanded transporting an inhabited city ten thousand li and receiving its residents’ blessings 324 369.

Xu Ran secured permission for Can Can to relocate Changping City, whose relatively small size made it suitable. Can Can completed the journey while Twelve calmed the inhabitants and gathered their blessings; Purple Cloud and Starlight protected the evolution site. It emerged as an Ancient City Turtle Dragon, gaining Sky Severance and Emperor’s Crown 379 380 381.
