The structure of this house really was different from the others, but Nathanos had not noticed at first.
This house is exactly the same style as those in Gilneas. That means... Nathanos slowly lowered his gaze to the floor. He stepped outside and found the entrance to the basement—a wooden board set into the ground. The soil around it had been disturbed, indicating that someone had entered or left this place recently. Nathanos opened the entrance and sniffed. There was no smell of blood, but it was pitch-black inside. He carefully descended the stairs, the bow and arrow in his hand drawn and ready to eliminate any enemy that might suddenly rush out.
"Don't let me die!"
"What?" Nathanos heard a human voice, laden with despair and fear. The other person had clearly been terrified. "Who's there?" he asked.
"I'm alive, I'm alive!" Gissetti's despair turned to joy when he heard the other person's voice. The other party was human too. "Save me, save me!" He ran out from the corner and threw himself at Nathanos. Instinctively, the boy kicked the human begging for help to the ground.
The man fell flat on the ground with a pained yelp. "Ow!"
"Answer my question." Nathanos aimed an arrow at him, frightening the man into immediately covering his face with his hands.
"Don't, don't kill me. My name is Barthuro Gissetti. I'm a fisherman, that's all."
"Everyone here is dead, yet you're still alive?" Nathanos demanded.
"Of course. I've been hiding here. There were so many screams outside, and I didn't dare go out. Thank goodness I'm still alive." Gissetti knelt on the ground and told Nathanos about what had happened the previous night and how he had survived. Nathanos let out a heavy sigh, returned his bow and arrow to its
