The meeting ended on a sour note. Though Jaina had expected this outcome long ago, she still could not suppress the disappointment in her heart. She recited a spell and appeared in the quiet Mage District, making her way to Bred's residence. Sylvanas had told the mage she could find her there.

Standing outside the door, Jaina heard an Elf and a human talking inside. They seemed to be having a pleasant conversation, and several times Jaina heard Bred laugh.

She turned to leave, because she truly did not want to speak of what had happened at the meeting. If an elderly man in the twilight of his life learned that his son was not only alive, but had become Undead, who could bear that kind of pressure?

"Don't worry, she'll be back soon. She left to see King Wrynn two hours ago, so she should be back any moment now."

Jaina frowned. Were they talking about her? Curiosity made her stop again and listen to the voices inside.

"I want to thank Lady Proudmoore in person. This old man has caused her quite a lot of trouble. And I would like to ask her to grant me one request. Theramore is now at Dalaran Crater. After I return, I want to visit my home while I'm there. It has been nearly twenty years since I last went home."
