"That Harkel." Tatsel slammed her fist against the railing at the ship's edge. She had completely lost faith in the captain she had appointed herself.

Harkel was saying something to a soldier, leaving him utterly stunned. The others nearby seemed not to have noticed. They were still busy retreating or immersed in their battle against the Alliance.

Suddenly, Tatsel's gaze caught several suspicious figures within the crowd, individuals using blood magic.

"Give me the spyglass," Tatsel snapped. She took it and immediately scanned the scene with vigilance. "I would never forget them, even in death." She confirmed it. "They are indeed Vampyrs."

"Harkel refuses to return," Meryl reminded her.

"Even if she comes back, she won't escape death!" Tatsel made a shocking declaration. "Archers, aim at those fighting the Alliance."

"Tatsel, what are you doing?"

"Fire!"

Tatsel heard the horrified voice of the usually calm Undead mage. She paid no heed to Meryl's questioning. Never before had the Forsaken turned on their own, yet it was happening now—the summoned Sky-Coverers were carrying out her orders, aiming their arrows at the Forsaken who had not withdrawn.

"Those people have been bewitched," she said, turning to face Meryl's eyes, filled with doubt and anger. "Like Harkel, they have been blinded by slaughter."

"It isn't their fault. They were led astray, influenced."

"Perhaps." Tatsel agreed. "But how many of them are bathing in blood? Did you see the smiles on their faces? They were utterly vile." She shook her head. "No, Meryl. I cannot take that risk. You are right—we are not like the Scourge. My retaliation against the Alliance was only meant to punish their provocation of the Forsaken. But Harkel and her crew? They were doing this to satisfy their Bloodlust. I cannot allow that desire to spread. If I spare
