News from the Temple of the White Tiger quickly spread throughout Azeroth.
"A trial?" Nathanos's voice carried amusement and sarcasm as he fashioned a skeletal horse. Its basic form had already taken shape; only minor decoration and adjustment remained. "After waiting so long, this is the conclusion the August Celestials came to? Both the Alliance and Horde agreed?"
Belmont nodded. "The Horde did not say much, but the Alliance—the opposition there was fierce."
But in the end, they had accepted reality. Nathanos did not need to ask to know that.
"What exactly did the August Celestials say?"
Belmont paused, translating the information Kargath had heard into suitable words in his mind. "Taran Zhu stated that Hellscream should not be judged by them alone. Everyone in the world has suffered harm because of him. Therefore, the Alliance, the Horde, and the Forsaken should all take part in the trial."
A wise yet terrible decision.
Hellscream had not been defeated by one person alone. It was reasonable to decide his fate through a fair and public trial. But doing so changed the nature of the trial.
"I took part in military tribunals when I was alive. When criminals were interrogated, there was more than just the prosecution. There was also the defense..."
The presence of a defense meant Garrosh's punishment might be reduced, or that he might even gain his freedom.
"The Horde will serve as the defense, but as far as I know, I doubt anyone among them will like that duty." Belmont watched Nathanos drape a suit of chainmail over the skeletal horse. He had crafted that armor himself as well.
"Everyone on the Alliance side probably wants the role of prosecutor. It does not matter who gets it. As for the Horde, I would rather Thrall be the defense
