Background / History

Alleria arrived in Lordaeron during the Second War as the leader of a small elven combat team. She explained that Silvermoon’s aid came from an ancient oath to the descendants of King Sor'Thalas rather than concern for the human kingdoms; the council initially intended only to reinforce Quel'Thalas's borders. 45

When the Horde and its Troll allies threatened Quel'Thalas, Alleria returned home to warn Silvermoon and rally support. Faced with a choice between reaching the undefended Windrunner Spire and securing reinforcements for the kingdom, she chose Silvermoon City. 77 She and Sylvanas later presented proof of the invasion to Anasterian Sunstrider, prompting the king to mobilize the elven forces. 78

Following the war, Alleria became both Ranger-General and head of the Windrunner family. She oversaw reconstruction at Windrunner Tower while maintaining her duties to Silvermoon, earning praise from Kael'thas for her foresight. 146

Nathanos's capture at Grim Batol shattered her composure, but she immediately organized a rescue mission with Vareesa.
