Arc 29The God of Order Returns

Kallen entered the polluted tunnel to recover the Divine Artifacts, but Mr. Luther chose him to contain the Redneck Boy’s pollution. Reborn without his former body or powers, Kallen regained the power of Order, revived allies, and set out for the Desert Order God Church.

  • Kallen led the volunteers into the Underground Tunnel, where Neo drew the pollution away from them and Kallen freed him with the Chains of Order and Thousand Enchantments.
  • After Kallen exposed the false celebration and killed Nicole and Anlans to seize the Principle Notes, the real laboratory trapped him and Neo with Redneck Boy until Mr. Luther intervened.
  • Mr. Luther chose Kallen to take his place restraining Redneck Boy, and Kallen agreed after securing his companions’ release, and the transfer overwhelmed him as the God of Order’s statue forced Redneck Boy to its knees.
  • Kallen escaped the statue’s grasp with help from Thousand Enchantments, the golden Chains of Order, and Uncle Eisen, then returned to York City and reunited with Neo and his followers.
  • Kallen underwent purification at Allen Manor, where the Eye of Order opened after Neo declared that the God of Light no longer existed, and Kallen regained the power of Order.
  • Kallen revived Earl Recar and Old Saman, prepared to join the Investigation Delegation, and learned that Mavario’s pollution was treatable after the experiment that had sensed the God of Order’s return.
  • Kallen traveled to Dinge District with Richard, Philomina, and Little Kangna, then told a teacher that the God of Order had acted out of loneliness, prompting the teacher to invite him back for a proper lesson.
Chapters 701–725 Vol. 8 Read

Ch. 701Divinity Pollution erupted

Mavario, Kallen, and others sensed a sudden outbreak of divinity pollution as a secret experiment involving the creation of a being from nothing went horribly wrong. The disaster was sealed inside the underground laboratory, but its effects had already spread beyond it, leaving Kallen and the city facing an unknown threat.

  • Mavario began retching after calling Gaspol “Darling” and sensed filthy divinity pollution, while Kevin barked in alarm and Sarayina and Miliwen also suffered violent nausea.
  • Bishop Delong and the Formation Masters sealed the underground tunnel with the Throne of Order as Kallen learned that the experiment had been planned in advance.
  • Mr. Luther was assassinated during a rally, and the resulting grief and anger sparked unrest across Vien.
  • The laboratory experiment produced an infant resembling Mr. Luther, but its whisper drove the researchers to mutilate themselves as the infant’s body began changing.
  • Kallen and every Divine Son in York City felt nausea or hunger as Order Clerics near the tunnel began mutilating themselves, prompting Byrne to activate the seal.
  • Byrne ordered the news suppressed and reported that the experiment had failed because of an outbreak of divinity pollution.

Ch. 702Crow

Kallen and the York City District authorities organized a response to a devastating divinity-pollution outbreak, which required volunteers to retrieve three divine artifacts from the sealed underground site. The chapter ended as Byrne opened his office to find a flock of crows gathered after his near-certain-death volunteer appeal.

  • Kallen ordered the site’s perimeter secured, imposed confidentiality measures, and arranged for a long-term camp while Bishop Delong warned that the current seal was only temporary.
  • Gaspol arrived, accepted Kallen’s account, and said he should tell her about future dangers so she could decide whether to intervene.
  • Byrne summoned Kallen and Gaspol to a meeting, where experts decided that four specialists and an auxiliary team would enter the polluted site to retrieve three divine artifacts.
  • Pilo joined Kallen after the meeting and asked him to bring Bishop Delong to a gathering of formation experts.
  • Byrne told Kallen that the earliest-arriving experts had helped organize the experiment and explained that the district needed volunteers for the support team.
  • Byrne opened his office to see how many clerics had volunteered, and a flock of crows wheeled inside.

Ch. 703Kallen's list!

Kallen faced the task of selecting volunteers for a dangerous mission into an underground tunnel contaminated by divine pollution, while Byrne explained why the Order God Church’s followers had volunteered despite the risks. After witnessing the young researchers’ resolve and consulting the Light of Order, Kallen chose himself and six others, then began assigning the remaining thirteen places.

  • Byrne showed Kallen the applications from clerics who had volunteered and asked him to select twenty people, insisting that the volunteers must understand the danger and its consequences.
  • Kallen met Pilo, Delong, Heseth Bourne, Malina, and Kuito as they discussed plans for sealing the tunnel or maintaining a standoff if they could not retrieve the divine artifact.
  • Malina defended the failed experiment and said she and Kuito would enter the tunnel; Kallen rebuked her and warned her about the lives at stake, while Kuito admitted he feared dying but accepted his duty as an Order Follower.
  • Madam Tang Li urged Kallen not to enter the tunnel, and Kallen promised her he would not go before returning to Byrne’s office to make the selections.
  • Kallen read about the God of Order entering the God-Burial Land, then selected Leon, Philomina, Muli, Ventura, Alfred, Vic, and himself for the mission.

Ch. 704Why wasn't my name on the list?

Kallen prepared to lead volunteers into the Underground Tunnel to retrieve the Divine Artifact, despite learning that the chance of returning safely and free of Divinity Pollution was only two percent. As Richard, Eisen, and Neo pressed to join him, Kallen agreed to add some of them to the mission, while Neo revealed a way to manage his multiple personalities and promised to wake Kallen if Hunger Addiction overcame him.

  • Kallen chose volunteers for the Underground Tunnel mission and learned from Kevin that the chance of surviving without contamination was only two percent.
  • Kallen told Little Kangna, Puer, and Kevin about the mission, and Kevin explained ways to resist Divinity Pollution.
  • Richard demanded to join the mission, and Kallen told him to get his grandparents' permission before he would add his name.
  • Eisen asked Kallen to add his name, explaining that otherwise his illness would return, and Kallen agreed.
  • Neo asked to join the mission and demonstrated that the Gambler's seal let him control his personalities; Kallen warned him that Hunger Addiction might overwhelm him, and Neo promised to wake him if he lost himself.

Ch. 705Taking the stage!

Kallen and Richard’s grandparents reluctantly accepted that both young men would join the dangerous mission, while Delong explained that surviving it could clear the way for Kallen’s advancement. At the mobilization meeting, Kallen took charge of the volunteers, and Byrne announced that he would personally lead the team.

  • Arbiter Dark abandoned his attempt to use Delong’s connections to join the volunteer list after learning Richard had come to ask for the same favor.
  • Richard asked Delong to help him volunteer, but Madam Tang Li knocked him unconscious to stop him from going.
  • Madam Tang Li failed to persuade Kallen to withdraw from the mission, and Delong and Tang Li agreed to let both Kallen and Richard go.
  • Delong told Tang Li that surviving the mission could remove obstacles to Kallen’s promotion and future prospects.
  • Kallen arrived at the mobilization meeting, claimed the central seat, and prepared to lead the volunteers, while Heses mocked him for showing off.
  • Byrne announced that Kallen would personally lead the team on the mission.

Ch. 706Piaget's prophecy!

Kallen led the Order Church’s volunteers through intensive preparation and laid down strict rules for the dangerous Underground Tunnel mission. Elsewhere, the ill Piaget painted a prophecy of a man bound by a demon, then revealed that the man died and came back to life.

  • Kallen’s decision to join the volunteer team reshaped his public image, and Byrne arranged for him to receive the group’s acclaim.
  • The twenty-four volunteers underwent thirty-six hours of training and received high-quality protective gear before preparing to depart for the Underground Tunnel.
  • Byrne and the other leaders confirmed Kallen’s command, and Kallen appointed Neo and Alfred as his successors while ordering the volunteers to obey him.
  • Mr. Bede found Piaget painting a demon and a bound man, then supplied blood when Piaget ran out of black paint.
  • Piaget told Mr. Bede that the man in the painting had died but then come back to life.

Ch. 707An eerie descent

Kallen led the Volunteer team into the sealed, divinity-polluted area after receiving blessings from the divine artifacts, while church leaders watched and prepared for the political consequences of the mission. The team reached the Underground Tunnel without incident until Tolisuo suddenly mutilated himself and welcomed them in a strange voice.

  • Kallen received an unusually powerful blue blessing from the Mills Goddess's Harp, then led the team through the barrier and into the castle.
  • Kallen organized the team's rest and preparations, while Tolisuo asked to introduce his daughter to him and Kallen offered to promote him.
  • Delong used the Guman Family's Key of the Magic Cube to teleport Kallen's group into the sealing formation as Pilo and Heses discussed the mission's political fallout.
  • Church leaders and clerics watched the team's entry, while Byrne worked to build Kallen's influence and the Whip Bearer and Lord Aoji took notice of him.
  • Kallen's team crossed the kneeling clerics and reached the Underground Tunnel, where a false order came through the Psychic Chain and Tolisuo tore out his heart while welcoming them.

Ch. 708Neo's suicide

Kallen’s team entered the sealed laboratory to retrieve two Divine Artifact notebooks while Divinity Pollution began corrupting them. Neo drew the pollution into himself to save the group, but Kallen intervened before it could kill him.

  • Tolisuo died after Divinity Pollution twisted his body and soul, and Kallen’s group entered the underground tunnel, where Kallen endured and expelled an attack of purple hair.
  • The team reached the laboratory and began shutting down the altar, but the pollution caused Alfred and several volunteers to lose control.
  • Neo drew the emotional pollution away from the others, saving them while his body rapidly deteriorated.
  • Kallen entered Neo’s Soul Space and found him wrapped in withered vines as he prepared to die.
  • Kallen summoned the Chains of Order and Thousand Enchantments, which cut through and devoured the vines, freeing Neo.
  • Neo recovered and greeted Kallen with an angry insult.

Ch. 709Chill

Kallen and the Volunteers escaped the polluted site with Neo alive and the two Principle Notes retrieved, then celebrated their return while Kallen and Neo remained wary of how easily they had gotten out. When Kallen saw Dis among the dignitaries and then watched his appearance change, he stabbed the man and discovered that the apparent celebration had concealed the mutilated Order Clerics who had died outside the tunnel.

  • Thousand Enchantments swallowed the remaining contamination while Kallen fought to resist his Hunger Addiction, and Neo recovered after Kallen saved him.
  • Nicole and Anlans received the two Principle Notes, and Kallen ordered the Volunteers to withdraw from the laboratory.
  • The Volunteers teleported outside the Seal, where Clerics welcomed them and families, teachers, and dignitaries celebrated their return.
  • Kallen and Neo suspected their escape had gone suspiciously smoothly, while Philomina also worried that the mission had ended too easily.
  • Kumut introduced Kallen to dignitaries, and Kallen saw one man appear to be Dis before his face changed.
  • Kallen stabbed the dignitary with the Diamans Sword, then saw that the celebrating crowd had become the mutilated Order Clerics who had died outside the underground tunnel.

Ch. 710Ant

Kallen realized the God of Infatuation’s Chessboard had trapped his companions in a false reality and rushed to stop Nicole and Anlans from handing over the Principle Notes. He seized the artifacts and resisted a godlike presence that demanded his submission.

  • Kallen concluded that a will might be controlling the polluted land and that the Chessboard was sustaining the deceptive scene, so he charged toward Nicole and Anlans.
  • Philomina, Ventura, Muli, Leon, and Richard tried to intercept Kallen, but he evaded or overcame them without seriously injuring them; Neo stood aside at first, hoping to benefit if Kallen escaped with the artifacts.
  • Kallen fought through the bald demon and the Protective Shield, but a Principle Note activated the shield and trapped him before he could reach the teachers.
  • Neo tried to protect the Divine Artifacts, but one of his black spikes struck a box and disrupted the shield, allowing Kallen to break free, kill the two teachers, and seize the Principle Notes.
  • Kallen used Order Fire to activate the Principle Notes, but an unseen presence threatened him with divine pressure; he resisted and declared that this will ranked below others he had defied.

Ch. 711The appearance of a god!

Kallen and his allies escaped the Chessboard’s illusion, only to face a powerful polluted being in the laboratory. As the being dragged Kallen and Neo away, the decaying Mr. Luther appeared and restrained it, addressing it as his child.

  • Kallen used the two Divine Artifacts to break the illusion, and Nicole and Anlans sealed them at the cost of much of their lifespans.
  • A half-bodied Artifact Spirit attacked Kallen, but Philomina helped Kallen and Neo awaken in the laboratory, where the Chessboard’s spirit remained trapped on the altar.
  • The researchers’ eerie ritual overwhelmed the group, and Neo and Alfred helped expose the location of a red-necked boy with a Godhead Fragment.
  • Kallen struck the boy with the Diamans Sword, but it survived, captured Kallen and Neo, and forced the others to flee through the stone door with the notebooks.
  • The boy dragged Kallen and Neo away until an invisible force pinned it down, revealing the decaying Mr. Luther, who restrained it and told it to make its demands civilly.

Ch. 712Mr. Luther's Reward

Kallen and Neo spoke with Mr. Luther, who revealed that he and Redneck Boy had emerged from a god’s brief birth and fall, and that Redneck Boy embodied the Purple-Haired People’s anger. As Mr. Luther’s control weakened, he tested Kallen’s views on the struggle for equal rights and offered him a grim reward: taking his place and rotting forever.

  • Mr. Luther forced Redneck Boy to release Kallen and Neo, then explained that the crystal around Redneck Boy’s neck tied him to Mr. Luther’s will.
  • Mr. Luther revealed that a god had briefly appeared and fallen, leaving him and Redneck Boy as powerful concentrations of divinity pollution.
  • Mr. Luther explained that Redneck Boy represented the Purple-Haired People’s anger and that he could not hold him back for long; their companions were trapped at the polluted perimeter.
  • Kallen argued that the equal-rights movement should retain the option of orderly violence, while Mr. Luther challenged him to take responsibility for carrying the struggle forward.
  • Mr. Luther praised Kallen’s sincerity and declared that his reward was permission to take Mr. Luther’s seat and rot away forever.

Ch. 713Violence controlled by order!

Mr. Luther forced Kallen to take his place as the keeper of the red-necked boy, while Neo and the others were sent away. As Kallen’s consciousness seemed to collapse under the pollution, a vast presence emerged within his soul space and brought the freed boy to its knees.

  • Mr. Luther warned Kallen and Neo that the polluted being could spread through faith even if the cavern remained sealed, and said one of them had to take his place holding its leash.
  • Mr. Luther chose Kallen, and Kallen agreed after securing the release of his companions; Neo was freed and fled, while a masked person remained behind.
  • Mr. Luther’s body merged with Kallen as the transfer began, and Kallen ordered the red-necked boy to withdraw the perimeter pollution and send his companions away.
  • Kallen’s body and soul were overwhelmed by the pollution, triggering disturbances in the Dark Moon, Soul Space, and locations connected to him; the red-necked boy then entered his body as the formation’s pressure suddenly eased.
  • In the soul space, the red-necked boy crushed its crystal collar and broke free, but a colossal statue rose from the polluted sea and forced it to its knees as Mr. Luther recognized the violence of Order.

Ch. 714The God of Order Returns!

Kallen faced erasure as the God of Order’s power consumed the pollution, while his faint resonance with someone beyond a mirror seemed to show them both kneeling. The Order 1st Knight Order awakened in response to the God of Order’s return, Norton vowed to find and destroy the god, and Kallen discovered the figure across the mirror had stood up, giving him a last chance to cling to the palm.

  • Kallen’s hunger addiction overwhelmed him, and Mr. Luther faded after taunting Redneck Boy and repeating, “Everyone, I have a dream...”
  • Redneck Boy was consumed by the statue as its hand tilted, while Kallen remained prostrate and sensed someone mirroring him from the other side of a black mirror.
  • The [Harvesting Horn] sounded, awakening the coffins of the Order 1st Knight Order and stirring the Order Temple as its leaders recognized the God of Order’s return.
  • Norton felt Tyranus’s joy, suspected the returning God of Order was weak, and vowed to find and slay him in the name of order.
  • Puer learned from Kevin that Kallen might cease to exist when the god’s will descended, and she grieved while Little Kangna questioned why anyone should fear opposing a deity.
  • As Kallen slid toward the statue’s mouth, he saw the figure across the mirror stand and walk away, then clung to the edge of the palm and cursed the God of Order.

Ch. 715God of Eternity

Kallen escaped the Hunger Addiction after the God of Eternity’s blessing resonated with the golden Chain of Order, and he regenerated in the black pollution. He returned to Uncle Eisen, discovered his new body had no Spiritual Power, and was relieved when Eisen woke up alive.

  • Kallen fell toward the sculpture’s mouth, but Thousand Enchantments caught him and tried to carry him away.
  • As the sculpture tried to swallow them, Kallen summoned Chains of Order and found the golden chain hidden within the Hunger Addiction.
  • Kallen’s Alt Family bloodline activated the golden chain, while the God of Eternity’s temple appeared in the polar region and Raniedal sensed Eternity’s aura.
  • A red chain linked Kallen to the unconscious Uncle Eisen and pulled Kallen out of the black oil, leaving the Hunger Addiction trapped in his Soul Space.
  • Kallen regenerated and reached Uncle Eisen, but Order Awakening and his Spell Arts failed because his new body had no Spiritual Power.
  • Uncle Eisen opened his eyes and told Kallen he had only fallen asleep.

Ch. 716Kallen's funeral!

Kallen and Mr. Eisen escaped the polluted underground cavern by teleporting to York City, while Kallen revived Mr. Luther to contain the pollution. Kallen returned to Whip of Order Headquarters during his own memorial service and reunited with Neo, who had faked his death as well.

  • Kallen found food in the laboratory storeroom and helped Mr. Eisen recover before they decided to escape by teleportation rather than reveal themselves at the cavern entrance.
  • Kallen awakened Mr. Luther, who resumed containing the pollution and agreed to keep the reborn Redneck Boy under control.
  • Kallen used the golden Chains of Order to withstand the Throne of Order's power as Mr. Eisen activated the Teleportation Magic Formation, and they arrived in York City.
  • Kallen and Mr. Eisen reached Whip of Order Headquarters during the memorial services for Kallen and Memphis, and Kallen went to find his companions.
  • Kallen recognized the bandaged wheelchair-bound person as Neo, who had disguised himself as a badly polluted survivor, just as the broadcast announced Neo's memorial service.

Ch. 717This chapter is full of filler

Kallen returned alive after Neo sacrificed his identity to protect Kallen’s place in Order, and reunited with his companions at the dormitory. After revealing his golden Chain of Order and telling them what happened in the tunnel, Kallen laid out his next goal: becoming a Divine Servant again.

  • In the tunnel, Neo had impersonated Kallen and given up his identity so Kallen could retain his official standing in Order; the two reunited and returned to the dormitory.
  • Neo explained that he had prepared to die, cleared some debts, and transferred his car, while Kallen revealed that his old body and powers were gone and planned to undergo purification at Allen Manor.
  • Kallen reunited with Puer, Little Kangna, Kevin, and his core believers, who welcomed him back and listened as he recounted the underground tunnel ordeal.
  • Kallen showed the group his golden Chain of Order, prompting Alfred and the others to praise Order and treat Kallen as their awakened god.
  • Kallen and Puer agreed to sign a new Symbiosis Contract, while Little Kangna chose to renew her Master-Servant Contract with Kallen.
  • Kallen announced that the group’s next priority was for him to become a Divine Servant again.

Ch. 718Neo's fractured mind

Neo’s unstable seal and loss of his identity in Order caused the personalities in his mind to grow more active, so he created an “Order Neo” to keep them in check. At Elisa’s tomb, he confronted the temptation to retreat into an inner world with her and chose to embrace her without pulling her inside.

  • Alfred warned Neo that divinity pollution and Kallen’s return had destabilized the seal on his personalities and left him without his former role in Order.
  • Neo’s personalities, including Mr. Luther and Phileas, spoke through him, and Phileas temporarily quieted the others.
  • Neo visited his own memorial service, where Gaspol spoke and Peige and Fanny sensed his presence as he left.
  • Neo went to Elisa’s grave and entered his mental space, where he created an Order-clad version of himself to oversee the other personalities.
  • Neo saw Elisa in his mental space, stopped himself from drawing her inside, and embraced her while promising not to cross the doorway.

Ch. 719Base renovation

Kallen arranged for a powerful defensive formation to be built at Allen Manor while his allies secured protection and prepared to use a divine artifact. On the journey there, he rejected Alfred’s plan to force District Chief Gaspol out of office and proposed getting her pregnant instead.

  • Ventura and Muli discussed limiting Ophelia’s influence over the Dark Moon Warriors, then used a flare to send Whip of Order squads ahead to clear the route to Allen Manor.
  • Leon guided Delong and a group of formation masters through a large defensive formation project funded by the manor, while Delong reluctantly let the clerics accept private payments.
  • Madam Tang Li gave Eunice sacred silver bracelets and explained that she had come to supervise the work after learning Kallen had returned alive.
  • Vic secured permission for Kallen to use the Mills Goddess's Harp without Sealed Space Office supervision, then regretted having ordered a retreat during the underground tunnel crisis.
  • Kallen traveled to Allen Manor under heavy guard, rejected Alfred’s proposal to push Gaspol out of her post, and suggested getting her pregnant.

Ch. 720Purification-Divine Servant!

Kallen prepared to become a Divine Servant at Allen Manor, using a divine artifact and the God of Light’s Finger in a ceremony attended by Neo and his allies. When the expected voice of Light failed to appear, Kallen’s agitation resonated with the sculpture in his soul, and he demanded to know where Light was hiding.

  • Kallen ordered his convoy to intercept a concealed assassin and later instructed Alfred to pursue evidence or fabricate it against an enemy faction.
  • At Allen Manor, Madam Tang Li visited Kallen, confirmed his pollution had been dealt with, and warned him through a harsh lesson for Philomina.
  • Kallen rested beside Eunice before Alfred informed him that the Manor was secured, the formation was active, and Neo had arrived for the Divine Servant ceremony.
  • Kallen began the ceremony in the Opera House as the Mills Goddess’s Harp released sacred power and Puer pressed the God of Light’s Finger to his brow.
  • The aura of Light overwhelmed everyone except Neo, but no voice appeared, and Kallen’s agitation caused a black phantom to emerge behind him.
  • Kallen and the phantom demanded to know where Light was hiding.

Ch. 721Eye of Order, open!

Kallen’s purification faltered as Light failed to answer, and attempts by Puer, Little Kangna, and Philomina could not open the Eye of Order. Neo finally provoked a powerful response by declaring that the God of Light was dead, and the Eye opened as Kallen’s voice declared that he would not allow Light to die.

  • Puer passed out from exhaustion, and Little Kangna’s dragon claw briefly revived Kallen’s purification with a vision of the Rebel Dragon God helping Order defeat the God of Magma.
  • Little Kangna’s attempt failed to awaken the Eye of Order, so Alfred had Philomina invoke the Dark Moon Goddess, but her vision also produced no response.
  • Alfred ordered Philomina to place Kevin’s paw on Kallen, which caused the Eye of Order to appear, though it remained closed.
  • Kallen experienced a memory of Raniedal asking Order to help kill the Sea God, but the Eye still did not open and the purification began to end.
  • Neo seized Kallen and shouted that the God of Light no longer existed, causing the Light Aura to surge and the Eye of Order to open.
  • Kallen rose as the power of Order flooded the Opera House, and a voice declared, “I will not allow him to die!”

Ch. 722The Immerlis Family tradition!

Kallen witnessed memories of the God of Order carrying the God of Light's severed head and completed his purification as a Divine Servant with combat strength comparable to his former Arbiter level. He planned to awaken Earl Recar and Old Saman while fearing that the Previous God of Order might be watching him across time.

  • Kallen witnessed the God of Order retrieving the God of Light's severed head from Anlamyde Mountain, but remained uncertain who had killed him.
  • Kallen absorbed a Black Ring of Order Rules, and his Order Sculpture transformed into a small puddle while his Hunger Addiction grew stronger.
  • Kallen experienced another resonance with the Previous God of Order and feared that he could observe Kallen across time.
  • Kallen drained sacred power from the Mills Goddess's Harp and completed his purification just before the altar collapsed.
  • Kallen instructed Alfred to prepare for awakening Earl Recar and Old Saman after a day of rest.
  • Kallen told Neo that his Divine Servant combat strength matched his former Arbiter level and named Inquisitor as his goal in keeping with family tradition.

Ch. 723Order-Awakening!

Kallen awakened Earl Recar and Old Saman as companions, then discussed plans to support them and prepare for an Investigation Delegation. He told Loya that the symbiosis-contract plan had to be redone because he had acquired a new body, leaving the artifact spirits stunned.

  • Kallen studied Order spell arts and worried that advancing to Divine Revelation would be harder than expected, while wondering why the Immerlis Family bloodline and Dis's phantom were absent.
  • Kallen learned Neo had left to clear his head and arranged a ceremony to awaken Old Saman and Earl Recar at the Opera House.
  • Kallen used Order-Awakening to revive Earl Recar and Old Saman, who pledged themselves to Order and joined Kallen's companions.
  • Old Saman proposed modifying his refrigerator so Kallen could summon coffins and their occupants across Vien Territory, while Kallen assigned the two men duties at the Manor.
  • Kallen confirmed with Byrne that he would join the Investigation Delegation and learned that the conflict in Desert was worsening.
  • Kallen told Loya that the revised symbiosis-contract plan was obsolete because he had a new body, and Loya informed the artifact spirits that their research had fallen behind his rise in life level.

Ch. 724Good friends!

Earl Recar scolded Old Anderson over the Allen family’s lack of heirs, while Puer reminded him to respect Kallen’s position and wait for Eunice’s wedding. Kallen returned to York City, learned that Gaspol planned to hand her position over to him, and discovered Mavario’s pollution treatment had stalled because the Divine Temple wanted him to produce an heir first.

  • Earl Recar berated Old Anderson for failing to secure the family’s continuation, but Puer sent Old Anderson away and rebuked Earl Recar for his own interference in Eunice’s condition.
  • Puer warned Earl Recar not to overreach with Kallen, and Earl Recar agreed to wait for the wedding and Eunice’s efforts.
  • Old Saman and Kevin settled on a design for their spatial forging work, while Old Saman spoke about beginning a new life and Kevin clasped his hand.
  • Kallen ordered Alfred to support their nominee against Gaspol’s candidate, then chose Richard and Philomina as his attendants for the upcoming trip to the Desert Order God Church.
  • Kallen met Gaspol, who said she had volunteered to hand her position over to him, then learned that Mavario’s experimental accident had left him with treatable pollution.
  • Kallen visited Mavario in the hospital and learned the Divine Temple had paused treatment until Mavario produced an heir, prompting Kallen to call him a good friend.

Ch. 725The first lesson

Kallen visited the recovering Mavario, who revealed that he had sensed the God of Order’s return before his accident, then traveled to Dinge District with Richard and Little Kangna for classes and an investigation assignment. At his first lecture, Kallen recognized the loneliness behind the God of Order’s actions in the Previous Era, prompting his teacher to abandon his trip home and return with him for a proper lesson.

  • Kallen and Mavario discussed Mavario’s marriage, and Kallen urged him to invite the District Chief to volunteer at an orphanage; Mavario also disclosed that he had sensed the God of Order’s return during the experiment that caused his accident.
  • Kallen told Mavario he was leaving for Dinge District to attend a lesson and join the Investigation Delegation, then took get-well gifts to his family and visited the recovering Richard.
  • Kallen, Richard, Philomina, and Little Kangna traveled to Dinge District, where Little Kangna sensed that the surrounding mountains were the remains of an ancient dragon.
  • Kallen and Richard attended a lecture on the differences between the God of Order and the God of Light, while the teacher’s hypnotic voice put the other students to sleep.
  • The teacher took Kallen toward the teachers’ dormitory while discussing the God of Order’s actions in the Previous Era; Kallen answered that the god had acted out of loneliness.
  • The teacher was shaken by Kallen’s answer, turned away from his dormitory, and invited Kallen back to the classroom for a proper lesson.
