Arc 32The Desert Legion's Revelation

Kallen led the Whip of Order Legion through the capture of Chiya Grand Canyon and a decisive victory over the Earth and Life Legions. After reaching Divine Revelation, he began consolidating authority, while the Order Temple added him to its candidates for the next High Priest.

  • Kallen formed the Whip of Order Desert Legion, trained it into a coordinated force, and led it toward Chiya Grand Canyon.
  • Puer's scouts exposed an enemy ambush, and Kallen's troops uncovered the fortified tunnels and tree-root defenses beneath the canyon.
  • Dali Wenluo, Mrs. Gandiro, Philomina, and Andrew helped destroy the enemy command post, allowing Kallen's legion to clear the canyon and secure it despite Pilger's orders to withdraw.
  • Kallen led the legion into enemy territory, where Tartas and Nibra prepared an encirclement as Kallen's worsening hallucinations signaled his approach to Divine Revelation.
  • Kallen's Chains of Order exposed the enemy's concealed forces, and he led the Whip of Order Legion to break through the Earth Legion before his revelation greatly increased his power.
  • Puer used Kallen's power to turn fifty Demon Beasts against the Life Legion, helping Neo's forces rout Tartas and Nibra's armies.
  • Kallen credited Daina and planned to take control of the Ninth Army Group, while Fudeng secured support for him and rejected Daan's attempt to transfer him to the Knight Order.
  • The Order Temple elders discussed candidates for the next High Priest and added Kallen Silva to their list.
Chapters 776–800 Vol. 8 Read

Ch. 776Carrying a coffin into battle!

Kallen received practical gifts from Eunice and prepared to lead the Whip of Order forces to the desert front, where he took command of the newly unified Whip of Order Desert Legion. After punishing two Dinge District officers for logistical failures, he announced his authority and led nearly ten thousand clerics in pledging themselves to Order.

  • Eunice gave Kallen practical supplies for the campaign, and Kallen accepted them before leaving the Ancient Castle with Old Saman, Dali Wenluo, Mrs. Gandiro, and Molindi's coffin.
  • Kallen visited the Guman Family, collected Madam Tang Li's supplies, and left Delong behind; at headquarters he received a commander’s robe from the Whip Bearer and let Thousand Enchantments join it as its artifact spirit.
  • Kallen appointed Daina as his attendant officer, then departed with his troops through the Teleportation Hall and arrived at the desert Transfer Base.
  • Kallen's York City District forces emerged in disciplined formation, and Kallen arrived riding a bone dragon as Scarlett and Luo Lijiesi handed over the Dinge District recruits.
  • Kallen ordered Daina to whip Scarlett and Luo Lijiesi for logistical failures, then announced that all Whip of Order forces in the desert would be reorganized under his command as the Whip of Order Desert Legion.
  • Kallen read the Whip Bearer's order aloud, and nearly ten thousand clerics saluted and shouted, “For Order!”

Ch. 777War resumed

Kallen’s Legion received its equipment, integrated its recruits, and completed a week of training while Kallen organized its command and prepared for war. After the churches’ public declarations and Kreid’s mobilization address, headquarters ordered Kallen to move his Legion to a designated location, clear any enemy forces, and build defenses.

  • Kallen and Neo inspected the Legion’s supplies, including hundreds of magic crystal cannons and a hundred White-Haired Giants Elders, while Neo urged Kallen to request more artillery.
  • Kallen settled into camp, organized his staff, and held officers’ and inner-circle meetings; Little Kangna, Daina, Puer, and Kevin joined him around camp life and training.
  • Kallen supervised seven days of training, and the York City District and Dinge District contingents became disciplined and coordinated as one Legion.
  • The Church Venerables visited the Desert Forbidden Land, while Kreid gave a prewar address and the churches publicized their support for the Desert Order God Church’s independence and the campaign against the Desert Remnants.
  • Knight Order headquarters ordered Kallen to take his Legion to a specified location, eliminate any enemy forces there, and establish a defensive system.

Ch. 778Intercept and kill

Kallen and Neo planned the legion’s advance toward Chiya Grand Canyon, while Puer and Philomina’s reconnaissance uncovered evidence that the canyon was a trap. After enemy infiltrators exposed themselves among the scouts, Puer ordered the squad to scatter and break out, then prayed to Kallen for strength.

  • Muli briefed Kallen and Neo on Chiya Grand Canyon’s strategic value, and Neo ordered the legion to camp rather than advance ahead of the Ninth Army Group’s formation.
  • Kallen refused Little Kangna’s request to join Puer’s scouting mission and learned that his promised hot lunch was cold mush.
  • Puer and Kevin found multiple suspicious stretches of ground in Chiya Grand Canyon and concluded that the seemingly empty area was a trap.
  • Philomina was ambushed by Earth God Church clerics who trapped her and sent a disguised impostor to infiltrate the reconnaissance squad.
  • Puer used code calls to identify three disguised infiltrators, and the scouts killed them before their bodies revealed their true forms.
  • Puer exposed the disguised Philomina as a Mud Monster, ordered the scouts to scatter and break out, and prayed to Kallen for strength.

Ch. 779A lot of us will die

Puer and Philomina escaped an ambush in Chia Grand Canyon after discovering that its defenders had prepared an organized defense, and Puer’s attack bought them time to retreat. Kallen learned that the canyon was defended and prepared to act, while Neo warned that an Earth God Church or Life Order God Church garrison could cause heavy losses.

  • Puer used her fixed prayer to turn human, destroyed the mud monster, and bombarded the encircling Earth Clerics to help her squad escape.
  • Kevin caught Puer as she turned back into a cat and carried her away, while Philomina escaped after the Barrier trapping her collapsed.
  • Bilyen and Rook discussed their failed ambush, confirmed that Order’s Commander would suspect the canyon’s defenses, and prepared tunnels and seeds for the coming attack.
  • Kallen learned through the Symbiosis Contract that something had happened to Puer and asked Pilger Dog for support, but Pilger told him to take the canyon alone.
  • Kallen and Neo concluded that Chia Grand Canyon likely had an organized garrison, and Neo warned that many would die if the defenders belonged to the Earth God Church or Life Order God Church.

Ch. 780The legion scouts the way

Puer’s reconnaissance revealed extensive underground defenses beneath Chiya Grand Canyon, and the Whip of Order Legion advanced to flush out the enemy. After the defenders unleashed enormous vines from underground, Neo realized the enemy forces included the Life Order God Church and concluded that finding their roots would lead the legion to the command headquarters.

  • Puer reported her reconnaissance findings to Neo and Kallen, and Neo inferred that tunnels and fortifications covered the area beneath Chiya Grand Canyon.
  • Philomina killed a cleric but suffered a severe poison injury, then hid to recover as magic crystal cannon fire began nearby.
  • The Whip of Order Legion bombarded the canyon and advanced a heavily defended formation to scout for mines and build a fortress above the enemy tunnels.
  • The defenders attacked with massive vines that burst from underground, killing soldiers and Giant Weng and forcing Ventura’s formation to withdraw.
  • Neo recognized the vines as evidence that the Life Order God Church had joined the defense and reasoned that the command headquarters would be beside the vines’ roots.

Ch. 781Zealotry

Neo withdrew the legion after its probing attack and began planning how to locate the roots of the enemy’s defensive vines. Dali Wenluo offered Kallen a way to break the stalemate by sensing the spell’s core, and urged him to kill the heretics.

  • Neo used the Magic Crystal Cannons and cavalry to cover the legion’s withdrawal, while Eagle-Falcon Knights reported that the enemy was changing its tunnels.
  • Ventura checked on the Shield Soldiers, comforted them, and noticed that Dali Wenluo had disappeared.
  • Bilien and Rook discussed the defense, the enemy’s strength, and the Allied Forces’ unreliable supplies.
  • Philomina entered the Earth God Church’s tunnels through a shell-blasted crack, killed a cleric, and disguised herself in the woman’s robes after losing her way.
  • Dali Wenluo told Kallen that he could sense the Great Tree Root spell’s core and urged him to kill the enemy heretics.

Ch. 782Wash it away!

Dali Wenluo accepted Kallen’s mission to locate and destroy the enemy tree root, while Kallen and Neo prepared for a possible assault. At the chapter’s end, Philomina hid in the enemy’s kitchen and resolved to make up for her recent mistakes through merit.

  • Dali Wenluo agreed to locate the tree root and lead a team to destroy it, and he privately considered his revenge against Bilyen.
  • Kallen and Neo discussed launching another feint, choosing an assault leader, and the possibility of attacking if the Mouse Hole and tree root were destroyed.
  • Kaixi brought food to Richard, who kept watching the camp gate in hopes that the missing Philomina would return.
  • Eisen told Kaixi that the soldiers could only grieve properly after the war, then took his revised formation plan to Kallen and hid cigarettes for Richard.
  • Philomina emerged from the enemy kitchen’s waste heap, hid among the filth, and decided that only merit could wash away her stupidity.

Ch. 783Assault

Dali Wenluo led an assault squad to locate and breach the Canyon Defenders' underground headquarters while Kallen's forces kept up their bombardment. Philomina, acting on her own underground, poisoned Lord Bilyen's dragon-blood soup, but the mixture turned black.

  • Dali Wenluo told Andrew he had been assigned to the high-risk assault squad and rebuked him for trying to interpret Kallen.
  • Kallen and Neo arranged a twelve-round bombardment as the army advanced into the Great Canyon and built a defensive formation under attack.
  • Dali Wenluo's squad found the underground headquarters' coordinates, sent them to the rear, and survived a bombardment before advancing to the crater.
  • Mrs. Gandiro drilled through the ground, and Andrew led the assault squad into the underground passage after they shouted, "See you in the First Knight Order!"
  • Philomina left the kitchen waste during the confusion, poured standard-issue poison into Lord Bilyen's soup as a backup assassination plan, and watched it turn black.

Ch. 784All forces, attack!

Philomina joined the Assault Squad’s attack on the enemy command post, helping kill its commanders before the squad was trapped underground. With Dali Wenluo and Mrs. Gandiro still alive, Kallen ordered an all-out offensive to clear the isolated enemy forces throughout Chiya Grand Canyon.

  • Philomina was mistaken for an enemy by her own Assault Squad, then killed several guards and fought her way into the command post.
  • Andrew attacked the command post, but Bilyen restrained him as Rook began transferring the headquarters underground.
  • Philomina and Dali Wenluo coordinated to kill Bilyen, while Mrs. Gandiro killed Rook and the Assault Squad destroyed the command post’s remaining defenders.
  • The command post completed its transfer, trapping the surviving Assault Squad members underground as Dali Wenluo used Bilyen’s body to seal the entrance.
  • Neo and Kallen concluded that the assault had succeeded, and Kallen ordered the army to reform into Whip of Order Squads and search Chiya Grand Canyon for enemy forces.

Ch. 785News of victory!

Kallen’s Whip of Order Legion dismantled the isolated garrisons in Chiya Grand Canyon and captured the canyon, despite setbacks on other fronts. After Kallen reported the victory and resisted Pilger’s demand to redeploy, the Whip Bearer received the news and noted that Kallen had ideas of his own.

  • After losing contact with headquarters, an Earth God Church stronghold was forced above ground by poisonous fog and magma, where a Whip of Order Squad killed its garrison.
  • Under Kallen’s orders, the Whip of Order Squads resumed their old formations and rapidly cleared the canyon’s isolated strongholds, while Kallen learned that other regiments were struggling.
  • Kallen set up camp in the canyon, received Dali Wenluo, Mrs. Gandiro, and Philomina, and recognized the contributions of Aike and his companions and the victorious Zechi Squad.
  • After the last major underground resistance was eliminated, Kallen returned to the main camp and refused Pilger’s order to abandon the canyon, explaining that his forces had already captured it and needed to secure it.
  • Kallen reported the victory to the Whip of Order system, and Miguel delivered the news to the Whip Bearer, who remarked that Kallen had ideas of his own.

Ch. 786The young lady with a fiery temper!

After the victory at Chiya Grand Canyon, Kallen reviewed the legion’s light losses and arranged its defenses while Fudeng grew wary of how carefully Kallen had advanced his career. Daina was trusted to handle a communications request, but her fiery clash with Pilger was interrupted by a call from Daan, to whom she tearfully reported the insult.

  • Philomina returned from her shower as Kaixi, Eisen, and Lucy discussed her relationship with Kallen and Lucy urged Richard to confess his feelings.
  • Old White and Lister delivered the battle-loss report to Kallen, who sent it to headquarters and promoted Daina to Deputy Group Leader of the communications group.
  • Miguel presented the report to Fudeng, who recognized Kallen’s calculated rise but found reassurance in Kallen’s voluntary service in the Pollution Underground Tunnel.
  • Kallen asked Daina to handle Pilger’s communication while he discussed defenses with Muli and Neo, and Daina angrily traded insults with Pilger before ending the call.
  • Daina accepted a communication from Daan, then rubbed her eyes red and told him that Pilger had insulted her and her colleagues.

Ch. 787Neo's fishing

Daina’s staged complaint to Daan prompted a reassessment of the Whip of Order Legion’s combat ranking, while Kallen discovered that a repaired Earth God Church communication device had received a likely trap message. Neo proposed using a decoy force to lure the enemy into a meeting engagement, leaving Kallen’s legion poised to strike at the front.

  • Daina told Daan that Pilger had disrespected the dead, and Daan said he would reassess the legion’s combat strength ranking.
  • Kallen explained to Daina that her complaint could help loosen the Ninth Army Group’s command over the Whip of Order Legion.
  • Mrs. Gandiro reported that repaired clay sculptures had received a message and revealed the coordinates of an enemy logistics base, but Kallen and Dali Wenluo suspected the message was bait.
  • Neo marked the supposed logistics base on a map and warned Kallen that the enemy might have intelligence about him and his legion.
  • Neo proposed using Mrs. Gandiro and the Communications Group as a decoy while the main force followed behind, then drawing the enemy into a meeting engagement to shatter the front.

Ch. 788All in!

Neo proposed an aggressive plan to Kallen, who weighed it against his ambitions and the lives of his soldiers before ordering the legion to move out at the highest level of combat readiness. The chapter left Neo surprised that Kallen had committed to the plan so abruptly.

  • Neo proposed an aggressive plan to Kallen, then rejected Dali Wenluo's offer to join Lord Kevin's circle of subordinates.
  • Dark greeted Philomina, and Richard invited her to share pilaf, soybean paste, and Demon Beast soup in a screened-off space.
  • Kallen saw Richard and Philomina eating together, then considered Neo's plan while watching Little Kangna fly with Puer riding on her head.
  • Kallen ordered Richard to tell all units to stop their work and prepare to move out.
  • Neo spoke with the Mad Pope, the Ancestor of the Bloodthirsty Otherworldly Demon, and Mr. Luther before the combat-readiness horn sounded.
  • Kallen issued the order for the entire legion to move out, leaving Neo astonished by his sudden decision.

Ch. 789Advance!

Kallen sent the Whip of Order Legion deep into enemy territory while using a communications team as bait, despite opposition from fellow commanders and headquarters. As the plan proceeded, the Whip Bearer rebuked Miguel for criticizing Kallen’s command, leaving Miguel unsure of the Whip Bearer’s true attitude.

  • Kallen assigned Mrs. Gandiro and Daina to lead the communications team as bait, with Eisen, Richard, Reikar, Dali Wenluo, Philomina, and Puer given supporting roles.
  • The Whip of Order Legion crossed the Chiya Grand Canyon and advanced alone into enemy territory, while the decoy force moved ahead of the main legion.
  • Kallen read reports showing that Pilger and other commanders opposed his plan, headquarters had tried to stop it, and Miguel had warned him against acting too aggressively.
  • Miguel complained to the Whip Bearer that Kallen was reckless, but the Whip Bearer challenged Miguel’s right to judge a commander when he knew nothing about war.
  • The Whip Bearer called Miguel an idiot, and Miguel apologized while Aoji smiled from the Ice Pool.

Ch. 790The God of Order's Revelation (1)

Philomina and Puer advanced through the desert, where Puer’s reconnaissance forces eliminated hidden Earth Clerics while they guarded the legion’s movements. Elsewhere, Earl Recar uncovered a staged outpost, and Dali Wenluo discovered signs that his family’s forces were nearby, ending with an emotional message to his father.

  • Philomina made Puer coffee as they discussed Kallen, their dangerous mission, and Puer’s past with Dis.
  • Philomina killed a hidden scout, and Puer exposed the surrounding Earth Clerics so Order inquisitors could destroy them.
  • Puer reprimanded the Reconnaissance Battalion and sent it toward its next target with Philomina.
  • Earl Recar’s undead knights crushed a decoy outpost, and he found documents planted to lure the army toward a false supply base.
  • Dali Wenluo’s squad tracked a Life-aligned force and detected an aura connected to his family.
  • Dali Wenluo withdrew with his squad and murmured that his mother missed his father.

Ch. 791The God of Order's revelation (2)

Tartas summoned a Wise Ones Elf for the coming battle, but its attempted divination was strangled by golden threads that turned black. Kallen experienced the same vision in his dream as the legion neared the enemy encirclement, and Neo confronted him about remaining in the Divine Servant Realm.

  • Gleehar met Legion Commander Tartas, and they discussed the ambush, Bilyen’s death, and the Order Legion’s rapid capture of the Earth God Church’s defensive line.
  • Tartas ordered his officers to prepare the encirclement, then summoned Demon Beasts and a Wise Ones Elf from a green pond.
  • The Wise Ones Elf briefly displayed golden threads, but an unseen force stopped it from answering Tartas’s question about victory and its divination ability faded.
  • Kallen saw a thread-bound infant in his dream; when it tried to speak, its golden threads turned black and tightened around its neck.
  • Kallen woke in the marching camp, sensed a mild rise in his Hunger Addiction, and calmed it with a cigarette while Neo worried about his condition.
  • Neo asked Kallen whether he had been stuck in the Divine Servant Realm for a long time.

Ch. 792The God of Order's revelation (3)

Neo told Kallen that his poor sleep and strange sensations might signal an impending Divine Revelation, and Kallen soon suffered a frightening episode of weightlessness and bleeding. As the army approached the battlefield, Kallen’s auditory hallucinations worsened, leaving him unsure whether he could command the coming battle.

  • Neo suggested Kallen was nearing Divine Revelation and encouraged him to pursue greater strength after the war.
  • Kallen experienced a terrifying sensation of falling into an abyss, but the Hunger Addiction eased the pressure; he woke coughing blood, and Little Kangna helped him clean up.
  • At dawn, Kallen heard phantom horns and confirmed that his auditory hallucinations were worsening as the Legion marched toward its battlefield positions.
  • During the officers’ prebattle meeting, Kallen heard the officers’ words as prayers and imagined Muli discussing the need to find and eliminate the God of Life.
  • Kallen told Neo that he was experiencing auditory hallucinations and handed him command, but Neo kept speaking until Kallen called him a moron.

Ch. 793The God of Order's revelation (4)

Kallen’s worsening auditory hallucinations were identified as a passive preparation for an imminent Divine Revelation, while Richard uncovered and killed Lizheter for spying on the Order Church. Puer’s force delayed the enemy’s encirclement long enough for Kallen’s group to reach its position, but the camp was now surrounded and under attack.

  • Kallen told Neo that every voice he heard seemed to come from the God of Order’s perspective, and Kevin explained that his soul and consciousness were changing in preparation for Divine Revelation.
  • Kevin said Kallen’s revelation could come at any moment, then asked whether the God of Order was doing well before returning to his battle cry against the Sea God.
  • Richard and Kaixi confronted Lizheter, and Richard restrained and killed her after discovering a concealed Communication Formation and a monitoring sculpture in her tent.
  • Puer ordered the Eagle-Falcon Knights to scout brazenly and had Eisen set up deceptive formations, buying nearly three extra hours for Kallen and the others to reach their position.
  • The enemy surrounded Puer’s camp with defenses to the north and south and attacking forces to the east and west, prompting Puer to order everyone to pray for the Legion Commander to save them.

Ch. 794The God of Order's revelation (5)

Tartas and Nibra delayed their assault preparations before launching the Life Prohibition Net, demon beasts, the Wall of Weeping, and earthen giants against the Order legion. As Kallen’s visions and hunger addiction worsened, he accidentally revealed his hidden legion and ordered Little Kangna to devour the enemy.

  • Tartas rejected Gleehar’s suggestion to test the enemy with an early attack, then coordinated with Nibra to postpone the assault and prepare their forces.
  • Tartas ordered the Life Prohibition Net and a demon beast charge, while Nibra raised the Wall of Weeping and sent armored earthen giants forward.
  • Puer led the Communications Group in repeated prayers and realized through their Symbiosis Contract that Kallen’s mind was severely disordered.
  • Kallen’s hallucinations intensified as he rode Little Kangna above the legion, where visions of the enemy’s formations and suffering drove his Hunger Addiction higher.
  • Kallen’s Chains of Order spread across Little Kangna and the Concealment Formation, revealing the hidden legion to Tartas and Nibra’s forces.
  • Kallen commanded Little Kangna to devour the enemy.

Ch. 795The God of Order's revelation (end)

Kallen experienced a Divine Revelation in which he saw the exhausted God of Order holding back the returning gods and learned that the current age was being kept free of them. After the Whip of Order Legion routed the Earth Legion, Kallen emerged with greatly increased power and warned Neo that they had little time left.

  • Kallen commanded the Whip of Order Legion to attack, and Kevin used his divine sense to guide two devastating artillery barrages against the Earth Legion's Formation Masters and Spell Art Practitioners.
  • Neo ordered the legion to pursue, and the cavalry and advancing formation broke through the Earth Legion; Nibura fled toward the Life Legion.
  • Gleehar removed the Wise Ones Elf from Tartas and discovered that it had been polluted with Order Flames.
  • Kallen's Chains of Order nearly Orderized Neo and Little Kangna while Kallen experienced a vision of the God of Order sitting before the river of time and holding back the gods.
  • Kallen heard no words from the God of Order, but his power surged after the revelation; he told Neo that the God of Order was tired and that they had little time left.

Ch. 796Kallen's strength!

Kallen explained how his view of the churches and the God of Order had changed, and why he agreed with Dis's condemnation of the god despite admiring his ambition. As Kallen and Neo prepared to face the Life Legion, Kallen revealed that his power had grown to roughly three times Neo's.

  • Kallen told Neo that the Life Order God Church and Earth God Church understood life and earth so well that they could use that knowledge to create the Life Prohibition Net and Wall of Weeping.
  • Kallen declared that the Earth Clerics, their churches, and the civilizations they represented deserved to be erased, then explained why Dis had been right to curse the God of Order.
  • Neo teased Kallen about his newfound confidence, and Kallen said he wanted to stop the gods from returning before they transformed the world into one where ordinary people did not count.
  • Neo chose to wait for the intact Life Legion to withdraw rather than attack immediately, hoping to spare the troops who would later support Kallen's bid for authority in the Whip of Order.
  • Puer prayed to Kallen for more power, and Kallen told Neo that his strength was now about three times Neo's and could keep their district's guardian from stopping him without Maternal Grandmother's help.

Ch. 797Puer's beast tide

As the main force attacked, Puer linked herself to dozens of the Life Order God Church’s Demon Beasts and used Kallen’s power to turn them against their handlers. The beasts charged the Life Legion, and Neo ordered an immediate assault.

  • Earl Recar and Dali Wenluo joked while Mr. Eisen worked on the amplification formation, and Richard tried to comfort Philomina.
  • After the main force broke through the Earth Legion, Puer enlisted Dali Wenluo, Richard, and Mr. Eisen to connect Demon Beasts and amplify her power from Kallen.
  • Puer received Kallen’s power through their Symbiosis Contract, took control of fifty Demon Beasts, and turned them against the Life Legion.
  • The Demon Beasts charged their own formation, and Neo ordered an immediate attack on the Life Legion.

Ch. 798The struggle for power

Tartas ordered the Life Legion to retreat, but the Demon Beast horde turned on its own troops and Neo’s forces routed them. After the victory, Kallen and Neo planned to use their battlefield success and a request to recognize Daina to take command of the Ninth Army Group.

  • Tartas ordered the Life Legion to withdraw and leave the Demon Beasts behind as rear guards, but the horde suddenly attacked its own troops.
  • Kevin directed artillery fire at the Life Legion’s rear while Neo’s Order Knights advanced, causing the Life Legion’s soldiers to break and Tartas to flee with his guards.
  • Nibura saw the Life Legion collapse and escaped with his remaining subordinates, while Puer and Dali Wenluo lamented that the fleeing family members had escaped.
  • Neo praised Puer and Kevin for their roles in the victory, and Kallen revealed that he had reached Divine Revelation before arranging for the exhausted fighters to rest.
  • Kallen and Neo agreed to seek command of the Ninth Army Group by requesting recognition for Daina, expecting the High Priest’s resulting instructions to help Kallen replace Pilger.

Ch. 799Promotion!

Kallen’s victory elevated Daina and strengthened his influence over the Ninth Army Group, while Fudeng and the High Priest moved to support and retain him. The High Priest then asked Fudeng whether he had found anyone who reminded him of a younger version of the High Priest.

  • Kallen defended Daina’s share of the credit, ordered his legion to rest before pursuing further objectives, and explained that the Order Regulations were written to restrain gods.
  • Daan praised Daina, reported the Ninth Army Group’s internal conflict to the Office Divine Temple, and proposed transferring Kallen to the Knight Order.
  • Pilger apologized to Kallen through Daina, but Kallen refused to protect him and told Neo he intended to establish his authority over the army group.
  • Fudeng arranged publicity and logistical support for Kallen’s legion, then rejected Daan’s transfer request by telling Norton that Kallen reminded him of his younger self.
  • Norton offered to give Kallen an army group to command and suggested arranging his marriage to Daina, but Fudeng said Kallen already had a fiancée.
  • Norton instructed Fudeng to investigate and remove corruption without politicizing the effort, then asked whether Fudeng had seen a younger version of him.

Ch. 800The High Priest's candidates

Fudeng interpreted Norton's joking question as a sign that the High Priest was considering succession, while Norton secretly purged his duplicates. At the Order Temple, elders assembled candidates for the next High Priest and added Kallen Silva to their list.

  • Fudeng told Norton that the Divine Temple was searching for candidates, and Norton said he would welcome another Rasma if they chose one.
  • After leaving Norton, Fudeng concluded that the High Priest might be preparing a successor and feared losing his position if Norton stepped down.
  • Norton met his duplicates beneath the Office Divine Temple, where they calmly entered Base's flames and were destroyed; Base warned Norton that his condition was worsening.
  • At the Order Temple, the elders discussed choosing and guiding candidates for the next High Priest while preparing for the gods' return.
  • Xidi proposed Kallen Silva, citing his military achievements, background, and connection to Rasma, and the elders agreed to add him to the candidate list.
