At Mushu Hospital, in the corridor leading from the lobby on the first floor to the Emergency Center.
Rosanne slowed down to make it easier for Jenna to lead the way.
Thump, thump, thump, Jenna ran very fast and finally saw Zhou Mingrui wearing a loose sky-blue T-shirt.
At the same time, her gaze swept outside the Emergency Center, taking in the deep darkness of the night.
Jenna stopped abruptly and turned her body to the side, moving closer to the wall.
In this way, she can't see Zhou Mingrui, and Zhou Mingrui can't see her either.
"What's wrong?" Rosanne asked, bewildered, as she braked.
"It's nighttime," Jenna replied softly.
"Is there a problem?" Rosanne was even more confused.
Wasn't it clearly determined from the beginning that it was nighttime? Otherwise, why would I be dreaming?
Jenna didn't have time to explain to Rosanne that Zhou Mingrui might have something special about him at night, and that they hadn't yet had a chance to test whether simply having normal contact with Zhou Mingrui at night would result in being kicked out of the Dream.
She said directly to Rosanne, "It's not convenient for me to talk to Zhou Mingrui at night. You'll have to go and ask him for help for Luo Fu on your own. Don't worry, I'll be watching from the shadows. If anything goes wrong, I'll come out and rescue you immediately."
Rosanne knew this wasn't a good time to ask questions, so she nodded emphatically and said, "Okay!"
Once Jenna's figure disappeared into the shadows by the wall, Rosanne ran quickly into the Emergency Center.
She immediately spotted Zhou Mingrui approaching the exit, seemingly intending to leave.
Rosanne panicked and blurted out, "Zhou Mingrui!"
Zhou Mingrui turned around in surprise and saw Rosanne wearing a short-sleeved Pajamas and thin pajama pants.
What's she doing here? Zhou Mingrui's first thought was that Rosanne had just come to the emergency room— Pajamas and sweatpants are not conspicuous in the Emergency Center, but rather fit the situation here.
Immediately afterward, Zhou Mingrui realized that Rosanne must also be Beyonder, and since she was associated with words like "journalist" and "painter," it was unlikely that she would suddenly fall ill.
Is it not a coincidence? Zhou Mingrui, filled with doubt, cautiously took a few steps toward Rosanne.
After approaching Zhou Mingrui, Rosanne didn't give him a chance to ask questions. She took a breath and said in a low voice, "Save Luo Fu, she's trapped Underground in the hospital."
As she spoke, Rosanne looked around to make sure no one was eavesdropping.
Underground Luo Fu Hospital? Zhou Mingrui captured the two most crucial pieces of information.
He still remembered the intense fear he felt when he observed the downward elevator, wondering if it led to Hell or the Apocalypse.
He wouldn't dare take the elevator down until he had gathered enough information!
Now, Luo Fu is inside and trapped? Zhou Mingrui instinctively asked Rosanne:
"Me? I'll go save Luo Fu?"
Are you kidding me? I'm just an "Assassin" with a few Extraordinary Ability. Both Luo Fu and Rosanne are probably stronger than me, yet you're sending me to rescue Luo Fu from Underground the Mushu Hospital?
After hearing Franca's conversation with Jenna before she took the "Despair" Potion, Rosanne was basically certain that the current world was indeed Dream. Therefore, she believed that Zhou Mingrui, as the master of the Dream, could do anything, as long as he "wanted" to!
Rosanne couldn't begin by saying that this was Dream; she was afraid it would bring unknown and drastic Change, and waste precious time.
She hesitated for only two seconds before saying, "You don't need to go directly to rescue them. Just go down to the second basement level and stand there; that should be enough."
"This works too?" Zhou Mingrui was stunned.
Isn't this kind of rescue a bit too frivolous?
Can I really free Luo Fu from her confinement and allow her to escape that Hell area just by standing on the second basement floor of Mushu Hospital?
What is the principle behind this?
Should a Men "Assassin" be found to act as the core of the formation?
or...
Thinking of this, Zhou Mingrui suddenly had a flash of inspiration:
Is there something special about me?
Inside the elevator lobby on the second basement level.
"The only way to rescue people from there is to ask my mother for help?"
Lumian pondered the words he had just heard, his gaze falling on Lü Yong'an's face.
The surface of her face, resembling a full moon, was a play of light and shadow, its appearance shifting and uncertain.
Lumian looked at Lü Yong'an intently for a few seconds, then said calmly, "I have other options; there's no need to ask my mother for help for now."
"Go back to the maternity ward. If you really need your mother's help, I know what to do."
Lü Yong'an offered no words of persuasion, but bowed slightly and said, "Yes, Divine Child."
The next second, she turned into the Safe Passage and went up the stairs.
Lumian didn't wait for Lü Yong'an to finish walking down the stairs. He quickly turned around, took a few steps to the edge of the elevator lobby, and gazed at the dark Abyss that was now almost within reach.
He then reached into the "Traveler’s Bag" and took out an item.
The item was a pale yellow, reddish, semi-solidified Candle in Glass Bottle.
Corpse Oil Candle!
Lumian hadn't lied to Jenna and Lü Yong'an. He had genuinely considered what to do if he had to launch a surprise attack on the Underground of Mushu Hospital and attempt to sabotage it, and he had a preliminary, albeit uncertain, plan.
The core of this plan is the Corpse Oil Candle obtained from the Tudor vault of the "Blue Avenger".
Lumian once used Corpse Oil Candle to complete the corresponding Mysticism, "seeing" a strange city and sensing an indescribable terror.
He felt that the terror of that city was something—an object, a will, or a being—that could have caused Alista Tudor to fall along with all the True God, and that occupied the top positions of the "Hunter" and "Witch" Pathway.
In other words, that should be roughly on the same level as Mr. The Fool, the Great Mother, the Mother Tree of Desire, and the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth.
Lumian's plan was to light Corpse Oil Candle here, on the second basement floor of the Mushu Hospital, next to the bottomless darkness formed by the fusion of Dream Subconsciousness psychological shadows and the Abyss symbolized by the "Mother Tree of Desire," to complete a Mysticism and establish a certain connection with that strange city or that terrifying will.
At that time, that will should also be interested in the Dream City Underground the Mushu Hospital, which is itself a key node where Great Ones infiltrate some of their power.
Lumian laughed.
He was looking forward to the chaos that was to come.
He wasn't particularly concerned about what might happen to him.
Lumian rubbed his fingers together, conjuring a black Flames that suppressed madness and violence.
Unlike last time, he did not choose to use the "Hunter's" Flames to ignite the Corpse Oil Candle, nor did he rely on the "Witch's" Black Flame and the Ritual fire generated by spiritual friction. This time, he used the "Flames of Destruction," a "Flames of Destruction" formed by the combination of the "Hunter's " and "Witch's " Pathway!
This is almost identical in nature to Corpse Oil Candle.
--Corpse Oil Candle are made from the corpse oil of the Hunter Pathway Half-God "Iron-Blooded Knight" and the Witch Pathway Half-God "Witch of Despair" mixed with other substances.
Using the Burning "Flames of Destruction," Lumian lit the Black Wick of the Corpse Oil Candle.
He glanced at the flickering, dark candlelight, then turned his gaze to the dense, dark, and terrifying Abyss of illusion. A bright, captivating smile graced his face as he calmly stated, "I'm not here to join you; I'm here to destroy this place."
Franca fell deeper and deeper into the boundless, dense darkness, finding no place to land.
Her emotions and spirit seemed to be falling into another Abyss, becoming increasingly depressed, Despair, gradually giving rise to a hint of malice.
Suddenly, a cloud of Grayish-White Fog appeared below her.
The fog and the dense darkness were in a semi-merged state, suggesting that it was more of a psychological shadow than a real object.
Franca glanced around and decided she couldn't fall any further, because she felt herself becoming bound and enslaved by the Abyss, just like the Caregiver.
She stopped running away and descended into the half-dark, half-bright Grayish-White Fog, muttering to herself, "What's meant to be will be... what's meant to be will be..."
As she murmured, Franca came into contact with the Gray-White mist and passed through it.
Soon, her feet touched the soft, fluffy clouds, and she was suddenly filled with shock, sadness, Despair, and Pain.
She knew that this wasn't actually how she felt inside, but rather that the intense emotions permeating the area had enveloped her, seeped into her soul, and made her feel as if she had been Corruption.
Immediately afterwards, Franca saw a hazy, brilliant Light Gate tinged with a bluish-black hue. The Light Gate appeared to be composed of countless layers of light spheres, each of which seemed to be alive, slowly wriggling, some transparent and some translucent.
Franca also saw thin black lines hanging from the Light Gate, suspending one almost transparent and invisible "Cocoon" after another.
The "Cocoon" were gently swaying and turning in the wind, which seemed to come from nowhere.
Franca carefully examined them for a while and found that different people were wrapped inside the different "Cocoon." There were black people, Asian people, and white people. Some were wearing Jeans, some were dressed in bright and gorgeous clothes, some were dressed in Otaku style, and some were holding cell phones. They all had their eyes closed, as if they were not completely dead yet.
This is very similar to the first psychological trauma we encountered in the corridor, except that there was no Light Gate or "Cocoon" before... Franca, who was still being eroded by the surrounding emotions, suddenly thought of the hall where Huang Jiajia, Ai Nana, and others were suspended. She had a sudden realization, but also a wave of doubt.
She examined the book carefully for a while and noticed that three of the "Cocoon" were empty; they had cracked open, and the people inside were nowhere to be found.
"Has he been sent out?"
Where were they sent?
Franca warily anticipated any possible details and instinctively took a few steps to the side.
Another invisible wind blew by, and the "Cocoon" began to sway again, some of them turning towards Franca.
Franca's gaze swept over the area, and her pupils suddenly dilated.
She saw a familiar figure.
It was a man standing upright inside a transparent "Cocoon," his head slightly lowered, wearing clothes belonging to the protagonist of Assassin's Creed II.
That's her!
That was him before Transmigration!
