The Grain God
As soon as the "Mother" amulet was taken out, before it was even activated by the Incantation, it seemed to sense something, and a layer of crimson light appeared on its surface.
It immediately transformed into an invisible Whirlpool, frantically absorbing the spirit and spirituality of its holder.
Then it became thick and heavy, turning into a miniature book.
The book turned in the wind, revealing its first page.
It depicts Emperor Roselle dressed as a farmer, leaning on a hoe, gazing at the rain clouds in the sky, with lines of text written in Old Feysac beside him:
"Sequence 9, The Planter..."
Immediately afterwards, the book was flipped through rapidly, from "Sequence 8, The Doctor" all the way to "Sequence 1, The Naturewalker".
Following "Naturewalker" is a female version of Emperor Roselle, wearing a loose-fitting Long Dress, holding a baby, and with two children standing beside her.
The title of this page is:
"Sequence 0, Mother!"
Almost simultaneously, the baby held in the arms of the female version of Emperor Roselle was bathed in Crimson Moonlight.
It grew brighter and brighter, gradually making the baby resemble a Crimson Moon, shining brightly alongside the real Crimson Moon that hung low in the sky, seemingly suspended atop Church Rooftop.
Within the miniature Crimson Moon, several lines of Feysac script that were not originally present appeared:
"Sequence 1, Grain God (or Tree God)."
Below this brand new Sequence 1 name, there is a description on both the left and right sides:
"The Grain God is the root of heaven and earth."
"Tree God, supporting the sky and connecting the earth, endlessly multiplying."
The man with scarlet Eyes holding the "Mother" card had just started to smile when his expression suddenly froze.
He looked down and saw that from the back of the "Blasphemy Cards" extended sections of slightly withered, brownish-red tree roots. These roots burrowed into his body, growing and spreading into a vast root system that frantically drained his life force.
The man with scarlet Eyes paused for a second, then relaxed his expression.
He understood what was going on.
But it's okay, everything will eventually return to the earth, back to Mother Earth's embrace!
I'm just a little early, but I will feel the warmth and security of my mother's embrace sooner.
His full face began to hollow out, and his smooth skin gradually dried out.
At the base of the round tower, inside the Twin Towers Round Tower where the core of New Silver City is located.
The massive tree trunk, seven or eight meters tall, which had been "Slumber" in the Dawn light and embedded in a mound of brown soil, suddenly trembled slightly.
Its grayish-brown wood quickly exuded a moist feel, and the large amount of bark that had been peeled off and missing grew back at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The Dawn that filled the surroundings suddenly surged into its body, Cutting through its "muscles" while witnessing its Rebirth.
Its Withering gradually disappeared, and it slowly became fuller.
Suddenly, it broke free from the brown mound of earth and disappeared at the base of the Round Tower.
Inside the headquarters Church of the Church of the Fool.
Reminded by Jenna, Lumian turned his gaze back to the Mirror floating in front of him, and to the brown-green "Shadow Tree" that was breaking through the ground and growing upwards.
Anthony understood that Lumian had sensed that the New Silver City wasn't so safe after all—it contained the remains of Ombella, the Queen of the Giants and former "mother" of the City of Silver's inhabitants, and the Calamity needed to be far away from her.
This would make a normal person want to avoid it as soon as possible, but for those at the High-Ranking Being of the "Hunter" Pathway, constantly running away is not a choice that aligns with their Divinity:
Having escaped Trier, are we now fleeing New Silver City?
Should we keep running away?
Anthony believed that this would ignite a strong fighting spirit in Lumian. If he lacked sufficient Humanity and the ability to control his own mind and emotions, he would choose to return to Trier to confront the "Shadow Tree" and thwart the Evil God Cult's conspiracy.
Before Anthony Future "Soothing" techniques, Lumian abruptly averted his gaze and sent the floating Mirror flying back into the "Traveler’s Bag."
He said to his team members in a deep voice, "Now move to the Church of Tranquility."
The Church of Tranquility is the headquarters and sanctuary of the Church the Goddess of Evernight.
As he spoke, Lumian activated the Black Mark on his right shoulder and used "Teleportation" again.
Just as the group's vision of Spirit World filled with layers of colorful blocks and strange creatures appeared, the world suddenly spun around them, and they plummeted downwards.
Before Lumian could react, his feet were already firmly planted on the ground.
They came to a vast, Weeds Wilderness, and Depths Wilderness grew a gigantic Oak Tree whose size defied description.
It is bluish-green, its roots are deeply embedded in the earth, Canopy pierces through the clouds, as if supporting the sky and holding up a crimson Crimson Moon.
It's like a pillar reaching to the heavens, supporting the entire world and allowing this Wilderness to exist.
The bark of the towering Oak Tree is mottled with scorch marks from Lightning strikes, but life is hidden Depths these blackened areas.
The higher you go, the more Rebirth branches the Oak Tree sprouts, many of which Entanglement with lush, vibrant Mistletoe.
At this moment, in the middle of this Giant Oak Tree that supports the sky and anchors the earth, a large amount of mottled bark protrudes, outlining a huge, soft, Women face, with two crimson, giant Flowers serving as the eyes of the face.
"Mother...
"Ombella..."
The two words naturally flashed through Lumian's mind.
He subconsciously tried to reactivate the Black Mark on his right shoulder, but he couldn't sense the Spirit World beyond this Wilderness, nor could he sense the areas that were originally his location.
"The Otherworld!"
At the same time, Lumian remembered something else:
His "Teleportation" ability comes from Giddas!
Giddas is one of the twins of the "Great Mother," Ombella's younger brother. His power is suspected to originate from Gift, and he currently does not possess Beyonder Characteristic.
Even if such Angel is conquered by "0-01", there should still be a bit of the spirit of "Great Mother" hidden in her power.
This is what "Great Mother" do best!
"Then, at the crucial moment, sacrifice this bit of spirit to interfere with my ' Teleportation,' allowing me to 'voluntarily' enter the ' Otherworld ' created by ' Earth Gift '? And ' Earth Gift ' has somehow become activated and strangely enhanced..." Such a thought flashed through Lumian's mind.
Lake Franca's azure Eyes had deepened, as if concealing layers of Gloom.
In the green fields where several scarecrows stand.
The figure of the "Magician" Lady, clad in a white nightgown, opened the door forged from dazzling starlight and stepped into this Dream.
She glanced around and immediately guessed who the Dream weaver was:
"Odfana?"
This is an ancient Mind Dragon, an "Observer" of the Angel-Level.
Aside from those transformed from humans, He is one of only three ancient dragons remaining.
"What's happening outside?" Audrey, the "Justice" Lady, asked instead of answering.
As the "Dreamweaver," she tried to escape this Dream, but failed.
The "Magician" Lady replied truthfully, "The ' Shadow Tree ' in Trier has caused trouble again, seemingly with the help of the ' Great Mother's ' subordinates. However, don't worry, Mr. ' The Fool ' has already descended upon Past."
The "Justice" Lady looked puzzled.
"So, Odfana took this opportunity to come find me?"
How did He know that Mr. The Fool would come to Trier?
The "Magician" Lady paused for a moment, then said, "Leading me here to help must also be part of His plan..."
"Therefore, you had ample time to pray to Mr. ' The Fool,' to say my name, and were not ambushed."
As soon as the "Planeswalker" finished speaking, a shadow suddenly loomed over the Dream world.
The shadow was a Gray-White, swirling, flying dragon with Lizard- like face that exuded a distinct sense of age.
Trier, wearing Medium-Height Silk Top Hat and Black Trench Coat the Fool, was unaffected by the ground and branches. He passed through layers of void and landed in front of the brown-green trunk of the "Shadow Tree".
He thrust the stardust and the book-shaped Staff in his palm Past, and saw the thick, solid bark collapse and crumble in large quantities, eventually being destroyed.
Every piece of bark, every branch, and every leaf suddenly became illusory, presenting scenes of the different desires of the citizens of Trier over the past one or two thousand years.
There are normal occurrences and indulgent ones; there are affairs at lavish parties and the warmth of embracing tightly in a small, cold room; there is the waste of leftover food and the stinginess of not being able to feed the children properly...
They intertwine and overlap, forming a weighty history and a classic text of desires. They cannot be completely destroyed by normal attacks; they need to be peeled away layer by layer.
Mr. The Fool retrieved his star-studded Staff.
A Gray-White mist then emerged, enveloping the trunk of the "Shadow Tree".
"The Historical Fog!"
Fourth Epoch Trier.
As Angoulême and the other "Sunless" were about to raise the "Fourth Day" higher to clear away the Montsouris Ghosts that kept throwing themselves at the invisible and colorless Flames, they suddenly heard a "whoosh" sound.
That was the cry of babies; countless babies were crying.
Jack Walton and the others immediately looked toward the entrance to the street and saw a figure staggering toward them.
The figure had long chestnut hair and azure Eyes, and was deliberately dressed as Emperor Roselle.
His body had swelled up, and Bird-Clawed Babies were tearing through flesh and skin and emerging from his ribs, abdomen, chest, thighs, and arms, crying loudly in search of milk.
Within the "Otherworld".
Lumian's voice echoed in the hearts of Franca and the others:
"Do not enter the Mirror World for now."
The Mirror World is connected to Special Mirror World!
In this chaotic situation, who knows what kind of people might be lurking in the Mirror World, waiting to drag us into this Special Mirror World!
Now that you've already encountered "Mother," don't fall into the trap of the Special Mirror World as well.
Lumian leaned slightly forward, gazing at the Giant Oak Tree that stretched to the heavens, and said with a smile to the team's minds, "Since we can't escape, then let's fight!"
