Side story: Daily life in Cordou Village
Cordou Village, Old Tavern
"Oak, I bet Aurora is definitely a rich man's mistress who got caught by his shrewish wife and had to hide in the countryside! Otherwise, how could a beauty like her buy land in our Cordou Village and hang out with us country bumpkins?" Larka Guillaume, drunk, said to his companion.
Oak subconsciously looked around, then patted Larka on the shoulder and said:
"I have to go to the fields. Don't let Lumian hear what you're saying. You know that kid is a mad dog when he gets angry, and Aurora, who's trained in martial arts, always protects him."
After saying that, Oak got up and left the Old Tavern.
Larka Guillaume was about to finish his drink when he suddenly saw a scantily clad woman enter through the door, her long, fitted red Long Dress revealing a patch of white skin at the chest.
Gulp... Larka couldn't help but swallow, his body feeling hot.
Once That One young woman sat down at the bar, he picked up his glass and walked over, smiling obsequiously:
"Hi, beautiful Lady, may I buy you a drink?"
He was Imitation a character from Wandering Poet's story, speaking in a relatively refined way. Otherwise, in his own style, he would have directly said, "Little hen/kitten, want a drink?"
The woman, whose appearance wasn't particularly striking but who possessed a certain Allure charm, glanced at Larka and said with a smile:
"The wine I want to drink is expensive, at least a 'Felkine '."
Larka immediately understood what the other person meant, realizing her profession. After hesitating for a moment, she drank the rest of the wine, rubbed her hands together, and said:
"Okay, shall we go upstairs?"
There are several guest rooms on the second floor of the Old Tavern.
The Allure woman's eyes flickered slightly, and she said with a smile:
"Would you like to try something more exciting? I'd like to..."
She leaned close to Larka's ear and whispered the rest of the message.
Larka paused, his breathing suddenly became heavy, and his eyes even turned a little red:
"Well!"
He answered hastily.
This would not only be exciting, but also save him money on hotel fees.
Soon, he led the Allure woman to a simple hut used for storing haystacks.
The young woman broke free of his grasp and gave him a flirtatious wink.
"You wait outside for a bit, I'll go in and get ready."
"What are you preparing?" Larka blurted out, not wanting to wait a moment longer.
"Since you're looking for excitement, let's add some more variety..." The Allure woman leaned close to Larka's ear and whispered a few more words, finally saying, "When you hear me call, you can come in. Remember, take all your clothes off first."
Woo... Woo... Larka listened with his blood boiling, as if he had seen a red-clothed bull or a Steam locomotive spewing smoke.
"Don't worry, you haven't paid yet, I won't run away." The woman's right hand slowly slid across Larka's face, and she lightly entered the house, closing the Wooden Door behind her.
Just a minute or two later, when Larka felt time was passing incredibly slowly, he heard the woman's voice:
"Come in."
Larka rushed Past immediately, pushing open the door and hurriedly taking off his clothes.
Soon, his naked body adjusted to the dim light inside the house, but he didn't see the Allure woman. Instead, he noticed a Gray-White- haired ewe standing beside a haystack, turning her head to look at him.
"..."
Before Larka could react, a loud shout suddenly came from behind him:
My sheep! My sheep!
"Lalka, what do you want to do to my sheep!"
The crowd searching for the lost sheep immediately rushed into the house.
Lumian, who was mixed in with the others, winked at a haystack in the corner of the house and took two steps to the side, blocking the view of the others.
Outside the Cordou Village, beside the gently flowing River Water.
Lumian took out five Felkine, handed them to the Allure woman in the red Long Dress, and said with a smile:
"My Little Cabbage, you have a real talent for performing."
"This is all for a living, praise the Sun!" The Allure woman accepted her payment, counted it, and offered a perfunctory salute to the Deity.
She glanced at Lumian face and said with a smile:
"I still have plenty of time. I plan to go back to that tavern and see if I can make a few more deals. Before that, do you need anything? If so, I can just charge you 10 Rick."
Lumian chuckled:
"I must remind you of two things first. First, the Postman's carriage is about to leave. Second, that 'cutie' from earlier is on very good terms with our village Parish Priest. If he finds you, tsk, I can't even imagine what might happen."
The Allure woman paused for a moment, then forced a smile and said:
I really need to leave right away.
She immediately muttered:
"What was cute about that guy just now? He's not young anymore..."
As she spoke, the experienced woman suddenly realized what she had said and burst out laughing.
After the Allure woman left Cordou Village, Lumian leisurely returned to his Half-Underground Two-Story House on the edge of the village.
His pupils dilated suddenly as he pushed open the door.
Aurora wore a light-colored Combat Outfit, her thick, long Golden hair tied into a high ponytail, and she held a Wooden Stick in her right hand, gently tapping it against her left palm.
"Tell me, what bad thing have you done this time?" Aurora asked with a smile, looking at her younger brother.
Lumian took a step back almost imperceptibly.
You found out?
That's way too fast! Doesn't Aurora rarely go out?
"You really did something bad?" Aurora asked in surprise. "Are you doing something bad every day? How did I find out so easily?"
"Your posture doesn't seem like you're testing me..." Lumian's mind raced, and he sincerely recounted how he had tricked Larka.
Aurora sighed.
"Is it because Larka spread rumors that I'm a rich man's mistress? Let them say what they want, I don't care about that..."
Lumian pursed her lips and replied softly:
"I care."
"Uh..." Aurora was momentarily speechless.
After two seconds, she sighed and said:
"The main reason is that there's no need to provoke the Parish Priest and his gang. Although I'm not afraid of the Parish Priest, if he keeps causing us trouble, we won't be able to stay in Cordou Village."
Jamian nodded immediately and said with exceptional sincerity:
"I'm sorry, I was wrong."
"You admit your mistake pretty quickly, don't you?" Aurora scoffed.
Lumian bowed his head and replied:
"I won't do it again next time."
Aurora raised an eyebrow and chuckled:
The last time I heard that sentence was the day before yesterday.
"You only behaved for one day, huh?"
Before Lumian could speak again, she put down the Wooden Stick, smacked her lips, and said:
"It's not that we can't retaliate, but we need to be careful and keep it within the bounds of 'joking.' In short, let's wait patiently until you get into university, and then we'll leave Cordou Village."
"By the way, where did you get the money to hire ' Actor ' in Dalege?"
Although Aurora gives her underage brother a few Felkine every month, the guy frequents the Old Tavern so much that he can't save any money at all, and it's not the beginning of the month yet.
However, that little pocket money wouldn't last long enough to drink for more than a few days, yet Lumian could go every few days and drink quite a bit each time... That's quite a skill... It's like he could live well even without pocket money and have alcohol to drink every day... Aurora muttered to herself as she saw Lumian smile.
"These are gifts from some kind-hearted people," he replied.
"Alright, you've grown wings and think you're so capable now." Aurora glanced at her younger brother. "Class starts in 45 minutes. I have a surprise for you."
A mountain of practice questions to do! A huge text to copy!
"A surprise?" Lumian took another step back. "The surprise you're talking about, isn't it? I'm the one who's surprising you, isn't I?"
He turned around, ran off, leaving behind a single sentence:
"I have something to do, I'll be back in 45 minutes!"
Lumian ran all the way to the village Square and saw Raymond Craig.
My friend is already waiting here as promised.
"Finished your prank?" Raymond asked expectantly. "I can help you copy the text and do your homework now."
Bar?"
In order to earn the right to help Lumian copy texts and do his homework, and in return receive tutoring from his friend in Vocabulary and other areas, he gave Lumian most of the reward he earned from making cheese for the Shepherd on the mountain.
Lumian smiled:
"There's one more thing I need you to do."
"What?" Raymond suddenly became a little nervous.
Lumian glanced at the Church on one side of the Square:
"Later, find a chance to tell the villagers that the Administrator's Butler Louis Lund, gave Larka a nickname because of what happened today."
"What nickname?" Raymond asked curiously.
Lumian chuckled:
"The Man of the Sheep."
"Okay." Raymond readily agreed, his gaze burning as he pressed, "Then when can I help you copy texts and do your homework?"
Lumian replied with a serious expression:
"Tomorrow."
As he spoke, he chuckled inwardly.
Actually, even if you don't do anything, I'll still teach you, my Little Cabbage. It's just that the Homework Notebook and old Fountain Pen aren't free...
Inside a semi-subterranean two-story house.
Aurora watched Lumian's departing figure, a smile slowly spreading across her face.
She was actually aware of part of Lumian's income, and knew that he was "exploiting" money from Raymond, Ava, and other friends under the pretext of teaching them Vocabulary and knowledge, but that was exactly what she wanted to see.
She noticed early on that Raymond and others always envied Lumian for having such a good Older Sister to teach her knowledge whenever they came to visit. At the time, she wanted to start a free "Literacy Class" to help all the children in the Cordou Village, but then she thought that this was something the Church and the government should do. If she took on this privately, it would inevitably attract the attention of the Parish Priest and the Administrator, and even lead to an investigation.
As a "Warlock," she cannot withstand investigation.
Therefore, after discovering Lumian's tendency to help his friends, she deliberately let her younger brother know that she didn't take his homework checking seriously at all, and frequently bought him new Homework Notebook and Fountain Pen, thereby indirectly achieving her own goals.
As a Transmigrator, she couldn't bear to see children without access to education!
In addition, there is another important reason...
Aurora looked away, smiling as she stretched with a wonderfully relaxed yawn.
Staying in the countryside for too long can get boring, and outsmarting my younger brother is one of the few ways to pass the time!
