The Men officer put down his newspaper, looked up at Lumian, and was taken aback by his open, confident demeanor. He pointed to the notebook and fountain Fountain Pen in front of him and said, "Show me your Lawyer's license, and register your name and the purpose of your visit."

What? I need to show a license? The fake Lawyer Lumian, was startled.

In so many novels and newspaper articles, isn't it always the case that identifying oneself as Lawyer allows one to meet with the client?

As Lumian bent down and picked up the black ink-filled Fountain Pen, his mind raced as he considered a solution.

At that moment, he keenly noticed that That One Men police officer opposite him had once again turned his gaze to the Trier Youth newspaper he had just put down, focusing on the annual Trier Cycling Tour.

He didn't seem to care much about whether or not he saw the Lawyer's license... Lumian suddenly had an idea and Imitation Aurora's handwriting to write "his" name:

"Guillaume Pierre, Public Defender, sees his client Charlie Collent."

After finishing writing, Lumian stood up and glanced casually to the side.

His face instantly lit up with delight, and he raised his arm, shouting, "My Little Cabbage, long time no see!"

Several people in that direction looked on blankly. Lumian turned around, nodded to the Men officer in charge of registration, and whispered, "I saw a friend."

The subtext of this statement is that you should come back later to show your Lawyer's license.

Without waiting for That One Men police officer's response, Lumian strode to a corner of the hall.

That One Men officer picked up the register, glanced at it, and then began reading the Trier Youth newspaper.

After arriving at the corner of the hall, Lumian slightly turned her body and glanced at the Men police officer in charge of registration. Seeing that he was completely unaware of the situation, she put on an embarrassed and apologetic expression and said to the few people looking at her with suspicion, "Sorry, I mistook you for someone else."

He then picked up his Briefcase and walked toward one of the Police he had just "selected"—the Police who had seen him coming from the registration desk.

"I want to see my client Charlie Collent," Lumian said, slightly raising his head with a hint of Pride.

In the Republic of Intis, Lawyer far surpass ordinary police officers in terms of social status.

The Police glanced at the registration desk, saw nothing unusual, nodded, and said, "I'll ask the person in charge of that case for you."

Fifteen minutes later, Lumian met Charlie in a closed room, with two Police guarding the door.

"And you are?" Charlie sat down, looking at Lumian across the table with a puzzled expression.

His complexion was terrible, no longer as rosy as before, and his expression was full of fear.

He had heard about Public Defender while chatting with other Waiter at the Hotel. He knew that these were defense lawyers specially hired by government agencies or Charitable Organization for suspects who had no money. He didn't expect that Public Defender would arrive after he had only been in jail for half a day.

Are those people wearing detachable collars really that efficient?

Lumian laughed, took off his Black-Rimmed Glasses, winked his right eye, and said in his original voice, "Don't you recognize me? I'm your Public Defender."

Charlie paused for a moment, examined it carefully for a few seconds, and then a look of sudden realization appeared on his face.

Just as he was about to speak, Lumian put on his glasses and said, "Quiet, listen to me."

"Okay, yes, okay." Charlie snapped back to reality.

Lumian's smile faded, and he said seriously, "I need to know all the details; only then can I clear your name."

"Really?" Charlie asked eagerly, like a drowning person who had seen the last straw.

Lumian first asked, feigning interest, "From what time until what time did you and Mrs. Alice stay in the room?"

Charlie rubbed his face, recalling with a mixture of confusion and Pain, "Mrs. Alice called room service, and I went into her room before 8 o'clock. I stayed until she was tired, not leaving until almost midnight. At that time, she had just lain down, not yet asleep, and still alive!"

8 PM to midnight? Every day? 500 Felkine... Lumian muttered to himself, then said like a true Lawyer, "You must be honest with me. Any concealment will only hurt you in the end."

"I'm not lying, it really is!" Infected by Lumian's words, actions, posture and tone, Charlie also got into character, as if the person opposite him really was his defense Lawyer.

After confirming a few more details, Lumian turned and asked, "After you gained Mrs. Alice's favor, did anyone express any jealousy?"

"Many, whether they were trainees or full-time Waiter, were jealous of me..." Charlie recalled as he spoke.

After chatting about this topic for a while, Lumian took out a photograph and handed it to Charlie:

"See if you recognize this person."

Charlie took it and glanced at it, then blurted out in astonishment:

"Isn't this Saint Viève?"

Why is she wearing a sexy Long Dress that exposes her chest?

"I've checked. The portrait on your wall isn't of Saint Viève, but of the famous Courtesan Suzanne Matisse." Lumian thoughtfully used "Courtesan" instead of "prostitute" to Charlie overly provoking Charlie.

"Huh?" Charlie looked bewildered.

I'm praying for a Courtesan, not Angel?

But why did my luck improve?

No, if I really get better, I won't be taken to the Police Station...

Lumian pulled out another photograph, still of Suzanne Matisse, but he had already painted That One Courtesan's hair green with Paint and made some minor "corrections":

"Take another look and see if you recognize this person."

Charlie looked at it carefully for a few seconds, and his expression gradually became shocked:

"This, her! How could this be?"

"You know each other, right?" Lumian smiled.

Charlie raised his head and said as if he had lost his soul, "She, she is, she is the heroine of my beautiful dreams."

"Didn't I tell you? I had wonderful dreams for days on end during that period, all about doing 'that' with her. She was so passionate, so gentle..."

"How did you know I dreamt about her? I haven't told anyone! Why would she have a picture of me?"

When Charlie looked at Lumian again, his eyes were completely different:

Is this still the same southern boy I know?

Aside from being good at playing pranks and being decent-looking, there's nothing particularly special about him!

Lumian curled her lips into a smile and looked at Charlie, saying, "Take a closer look at who's in the photo."

Charlie looked down blankly at the photo of the green-haired man.

As he watched, his expression turned terrified, and he couldn't help but shrink back, making the chair creak.

"No, impossible! Suzanne, Suzanne, she's that prostitute!" Charlie shouted, unable to contain his emotions.

This discovery gave him the feeling that he had encountered an Evil Spirit.

After praying to a portrait of a prostitute, he not only immediately escaped his hunger and found a new job, but he also dreamed of her repeatedly and slept with her!

This... this is like encountering a ghost!

Lumian nodded in satisfaction:

Congratulations, at least your eyes aren't blind yet.

His plan to help Charlie and his intention to scare Charlie with information through pranks were two unrelated things.

With a creak, the door to the Conversation Room opened, and a police officer standing outside asked warily, "What happened? Why are you shouting?"

"I helped him recall some key details," Lumian.

Charlie suddenly snapped back to reality:

"Yes, I remembered something very important."

It is indeed very important!

The Police didn't ask any more questions and closed the door again.

Charlie this, Charlie leaned forward, gripped the edge of the table, and asked urgently, "Have I encountered Women Evil Spirit?"

"It's not necessarily a vengeful spirit or Evil Spirit." Lumian noticed Charlie's expression soften slightly, then added, "It could be more troublesome than that."

In his eyes, Charlie's face Gray-White instantly.

After a brief silence, Charlie asked with concern, "You mean, Mrs. Alice was killed by that Evil Spirit?"

"It's not certain yet." Lumian stood up. "I need to go see Mrs. Alice's Corpse."

"You'll even examine the Corpse and find out the real cause of death?" Charlie felt increasingly unfamiliar with his neighbor.

Lumian smiled but did not answer.

As Charlie's defense Lawyer, he had the right to examine the Corpse in the presence of the Police and even to have an independent forensic pathologist assist him. So, after signing two documents under the name "Guillaume Pierre," Lumian was taken to the Underground of the Market District Police Headquarters and placed in the cold storage room where the Corpse was kept.

The Police leading the group pulled out a cabinet, opened the body bag, and pointed to the Women Corpse, saying, "This is Mrs. Alice."

Alice was relatively well-preserved during her lifetime, with only faint wrinkles around her eyes and mouth. Her brown eyebrows were thick, her cheek muscles sagged slightly, and her skin was deathly pale.

Lumian glanced around casually and said to the Police, "I'm fine."

He's not a forensic doctor; if he were to examine Corpse, his purpose would be to determine the approximate location of Mrs. Alice's Corpse.

Stepping out of the cold storage room, Lumian turned to the Police accompanying him and asked, "Where's the nearest Washroom?"

"Turn right at the end of the corridor," the Police replied, though somewhat impatiently.

Lumian quickened his pace and entered the Washroom on the basement floor.

Then, he locked the Wooden Door and began to dance the "Summoning Dance" in the small space.

Amidst the dance, sometimes frenzied and sometimes Distortion, a cold wind swept through the Washroom, and one blurry figure after another appeared, one Paleness or bluish face after another staring Cavern at Lumian.

These are the lingering Lingering Obsession of the Seer.

Lumian had never truly experienced such a grand scene before, and for a moment he felt as if he were surrounded by ghosts Ghost.

He composed himself and, while continuing the second half of the dance, began searching for Mrs. Alice.

Not long after, he spotted That One Lady with thick brown eyebrows and a fierce-looking face.

Lumian immediately drew his Ritual Silver Dagger, made a wound, and commanded Mrs. Alice to possess him.

Mrs. Alice swallowed the drop of blood, which entered Lumian's body.

Lumian suddenly felt a chill run through his body, and his chest seemed to grow heavy.

He then experienced some difficulty breathing.

Without hesitation, Lumian amplified Mrs. Alice's Lingering Obsession rather than choosing one of her particular traits or abilities.

Almost instantly, Lumian's vision went black as she saw Mrs. Alice lying on the bed, her mouth and nose covered by a pillow stuffed with feathers, but in her line of sight, there was no one pressing down on the pillow!
