Charlie was stunned because he remembered that Charles had reminded him that morning that he might encounter some bad things recently, and that afternoon he lost the job opportunity he had been looking forward to and wasted several Felkine on buying drinks for others.

This put even more pressure on him, who was already struggling financially.

Seeing Charles's smiling expression, Charlie unconsciously lowered his voice:

"You can Divination?"

The Divination seems to be quite accurate!

"Didn't I tell you? I guessed." Lumian lied without the slightest hesitation.

Of course, this isn't entirely false; it's just that he made a guess based on his sensed Fortune, much like knowing the correct answer when solving a problem and then making up the process.

Charlie looked incredulous but didn't question it. He asked expectantly, "Is my Bad Luck gone now?"

Lumian tilted his head, focused his mind, and his Eyes deepened slightly.

His expression gradually became serious and solemn.

Seeing Charles's reaction to the book, Charlie's heart pounded wildly, and his mouth went dry with nervousness.

"W-what's wrong?"

Lumian pursed her lips and said, "You're about to face a Calamity."

Charlie's expression immediately fell, his face turning pale and then red, losing its previous rosy hue.

Lumian laughed:

"Just kidding. You might not have much good luck lately, but you're not going to be too unlucky either."

This indicates that Suzanne Mattis's problems, even if not fully resolved, will not erupt anytime soon.

Charlie was somewhat incredulous at Lumian's words.

"Real?"

"It's fake! Believe it if you want, or I have no problem with it if you don't." Lumian ordered a glass of Absinthe Anise and smiled nonchalantly.

Charlie was relieved by his attitude. He sat down on the Bar Stool next to him, took a sip of his Rye Beer, and said, "I thought it was... that matter wasn't really over yet."

That's not impossible... Lumian stopped trying to scare Charlie.

Charlie stared at the bar counter and said, "You know what? Just a second ago, I wanted to be the lowest-level General Laborer and get out of the Market District as fast as I could."

Lumian glanced at him:

"If something really happens, you can't escape it no matter where you move to."

Charlie's face immediately contorted with an undisguised bitterness.

Lumian then added:

You'd be better off going to the nearest ' Eternal Blazing Sun ' Church more often and praying.

"By the way, I had dinner with my Landlord, Mr. Eve, today. When we talked about room 504, he acted a bit strangely, as if he knew the whereabouts of the previous tenant but wouldn't say."

Charlie paused for a few seconds before realizing what Charles meant.

He lowered his voice again:

"Where's the picture of that woman?"

Lumian nodded slowly but firmly.

Charlie was silent for a moment, then muttered to himself, "Is that woman related to Mr. Eve? Does he know there's something wrong with that portrait?"

"I... I have to tell them about this, tell those people. I'll go to the nearest Church at dawn and talk to the priest..."

"Not bad. After a few days of my instruction, he's much smarter Louis of the Savoie Gang. He understood my hints in one go..." Lumian picked up his glass with satisfaction and took a sip of the visually appealing green liquid.

He had no knowledge of the specific situation at the Old Dovecage Theater, nor did he know how serious the problem was or to what extent. He thought that if he tried to investigate on his own, he wouldn't be able to gather enough useful information in less than a week or two. Moreover, even if he did, he might not have the ability to handle it. Therefore, it would be better to find a way to remind the authorities from the beginning and have them follow up.

After Charlie up his mind, Charlie glanced at Pavar Nissen, who was mixing drinks, and seeing that he wasn't paying attention, he whispered to Lumian:

"What should I say if they ask me where I got the information?"

"Just tell me what you overheard while we were chatting," Lumian said frankly.

Thanks to Charlie's previous "publicity," the Police in the Honest Market District should all know that the "Golden Rooster Inn" has become Charles's Territory of the Savoie Gang. Therefore, it is inevitable that Charles and his Landlord, Mr. Eve, will meet for a meal and a chat.

When the time comes, Official Beyonder will easily find out that this is a perfectly normal thing, and there will be no reason to suspect Lumian.

"Okay." Charlie was visibly more relaxed.

Lumian took another sip of the "Green Fairy" liquor, then asked, "Have you heard of any of the leaders of the Stinger Gang?"

Charlie had previously mentioned that whether it was the Savoie Gang, the Stinger Gang, or several other smaller Gang, their leaders all had a certain reputation in the Honest Market District, which they could use to scare children.

"What do you want to do?" Charlie's expression instantly turned excited.

"I want to ask them something," Lumian chose the most elegant and polite way to put it.

Charlie was slightly disappointed because he couldn't see any excitement.

"Besides Margot, I only know two others. One is ' Hammer ' Ait, who used to be in the Honest Man's Market, but has been coming to Messy Street a lot these past few days. The other is Harman, who doesn't have a nickname. I've seen Margot walking with him several times, and I respect him a lot. Um, he's Baldy."

"The Boss of the Stinger Gang is a guy called ' Black Scorpion ' Roger, I think he lives somewhere on Market Avenue..."

For someone to command Margot's respect, Harman's status within the Stinger Gang and his own strength must both surpass Margot's... Did "Hammer" Ait take over the Mill Ballroom and the Messy Street Territory, which is why he keeps coming here? After a brief analysis, Lumian focused his attention on "Hammer" Ait.

He planned to stake out the Gang leader for the next few days to figure out his routines and daily behavior. If he couldn't find Wilson, he would consider taking action against him.

After finishing their Absinthe, Lumian and Charlie went back upstairs together.

Before he even got close to Room 207, he saw a wooden box on the floor by the door, with a Savoie Gang symbol drawn on the lid in black Paint.

"A bullet and a Dagger."

The materials sent by Louis? Lumian bent down, picked up the wooden box, opened the door, and went into the room.

Upon opening the lid, he unsurprisingly found a dark stone reeking of bird droppings, a pair of Blood-Colored eyes, and a poison sac inside a glass jar.

Market Avenue, illuminated by the yellowish glow of Gas Streetlamp.

The Landlord of the "Golden Rooster Inn," Eve, led a person to a Vagrant who was sleeping with his eyes closed.

"My Silver Coin is right here!" he said in a deep voice.

The man behind him glanced at the Vagrant in the darkness and asked, "Did he rob you?"

"No," Eve answered with absolute certainty, "They're different in height, build, and even clothing."

"A robber threw the stolen money directly to Vagrant... This is definitely suspicious." The person standing at the edge of the streetlight's beam nodded almost imperceptibly. "We need to be prepared for unexpected events or investigations."

Eve grunted and muttered, "If he hadn't given my Silver Coin to the Vagrant, we could have found him easily."

He can sense where his money and possessions once belonged to him within a certain period of time.

The next morning, Lumian stayed at the "Golden Rooster Inn," perusing Aurora's Witchcraft Notes.

This was because he would have to stake out and track "Hammer" Ait and others for a long time afterward, and they always appeared in the afternoon and didn't go home until the early hours of the morning, so he had to change his study time to the morning.

Charlie went to the nearest "Eternal Blazing Sun" Church early in the morning. When he came back, he was not only relaxed, but also had a smile on his face, as if he had found a support and received praise.

Around noon, Lumian hid his Witchcraft Notes and strolled to Market Avenue, standing not far from Mr. Eve's Apartment and the Old Dovecage Theater, to see if the Official Beyonder had taken any action.

Everything here is as usual, with people coming and going, and neither the shops on the street nor the passing carriages show any sign that anything has happened.

Lumian observed for a while longer, and was just about to find a nearby Restaurant to fill his stomach when he saw Mr. Eve appear in the distance.

He was still wearing that faded suit and chestnut-colored wool trousers, a grayish-brown wide-brimmed hat, and carrying a black Staff, as he walked step by step toward his Apartment.

"The Official Beyonder hasn't appeared yet?" Lumian pondered for a moment, then crossed the Market Avenue to meet That One Landlord.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Eve, where have you been?" he greeted with a smile.

Mr. Eve paused for a second, then looked at him warily and fearfully before saying, "I'm going to the Police Station to take care of some things."

The Official Beyonder summoned Mr. Eve through the Police Station, but the actual questioning was conducted by someone with the corresponding abilities? Lumian roughly understood why.

But what puzzled him was:

The authorities didn't even discover that Mr. Eve possessed Beyond Ability?

Lumian nodded slightly and said with a smile, "What is it? Perhaps I can help."

"No need," Mr. Eve replied hesitantly and reluctantly.

He immediately pointed to the beige Apartment:

"I have to go home."

To avoid arousing suspicion, Lumian neither tried to stop it nor made any further probes.

He frowned slightly as he watched Mr. Eve's figure recede into the distance.

Recalling the conversation, he couldn't find anything suspicious, but he felt that some details were strange and he had an indescribable feeling.

Lumian subconsciously focused his mind, looking at Mr. Eve's back, trying to sense his recent Fortune.

That's a fairly normal Fortune, neither good nor bad.

But Lumian's doubts only grew stronger.

He had a habitual premonition about Mr. Eve's Fortune when he had dinner with him yesterday.

I'm definitely having a bit of bad luck!

His Fortune Change in just one day. What exactly happened? Lumian turned around, put his hands in his pockets, and strolled along the Market Avenue.
