An important figure
Lumian put down his glass and said with a smile in Intis language, which had Leston Province accent, "I just arrived in Trier a couple of days ago. I came to Ravigny to look for a job."
Thanks to Aurora's tutelage, he speaks normally without the Dalege Region accent of Leston Province, sounding more like Trier native. However, having lived in Cordou Village for nearly six years, his learning, Imitation, and action abilities are all quite strong, so dialects pose no challenge to him at all.
The That One, with heavy eye bags as if he hadn't had a good Bartender, glanced around cautiously and said, "That's a big shot from the sea, ' Flame ' Danitz!"
"Never heard of it." Lumian said bluntly.
The Bartender coughed, reminding Lumian to watch his tone and attitude:
Have you ever heard of the six Pirate King and the nine Pirate Admiral?
"I've heard a little about it," Lumian quite honestly.
His impressions of Pirate King and Pirate Admiral all came from newspapers that published strange tales and various novels. He knew that Gehrman Sparrow had hunted some, that the Great Adventurer's servant Dubois had once been a pirate on the ship of "Vice Admiral Iceberg", that "Disease Maiden" was also known as "Vice Admiral Disease", and that Pirate Admiral changed relatively frequently, while Pirate King were more stable, some of whom were so famous that no one remembered exactly how many years they had been around.
Seeing that the other person wasn't completely ignorant, the Bartender secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"That One was once a pirate, and is widely recognized as being stronger than all Pirate Admiral, second only to the six King of the Pirates."
They are indeed quite formidable... Lumian couldn't determine the exact Sequence of those Pirate Admiral and Pirate King, but the fact that they had survived the official crackdown and were not exactly low-key showed that they were definitely not weak.
That One "Flame" Danitz ranked seventh among the pirates, almost a Pirate King, so his strength must be exceptionally powerful!
Saint? If he's Saint, then Pirate King must be saints too, but there aren't that many... the most powerful ones in Sequence 5? Lumian grasped a word the Bartender had said:
"Once?"
"Yes, he used to be. He's not a pirate or a treasure Hunter anymore. Look, there aren't any wanted posters for him on the wall." The Bartender pointed around.
But I have a wanted poster... Luckily, the bounty is low, and it's in a corner where nobody pays attention... Lumian asked with a mixture of doubt and curiosity, "You can just say you won't be a pirate and then stop, and the authorities even cooperated by withdrawing your wanted poster?"
Has this meant surrendering to some country or some Orthodox God Church?
The Bartender lowered his voice even further:
"He is now a member of the ' The Fool's ' Church, an Messenger of That One Deity."
The Divine Emissary of "The Fool"? Perhaps the Divine Emissary That One? Lumian was quite astonished.
The Bartender, assuming he was unaware of the "The Fool's " Church, offered a brief explanation:
"That's a Deity recognized by all Orthodox God Church. Haha, how could Deity give itself such a name?"
"The belief in ' The Fool ' was popular at sea, and many Sea Merchants and Sailor believed in it. They even raised money to build a ' The Fool ' Church in Ravigny."
"Is the bishop of the Church That One the Divine Emissary?" Lumian deliberately lowered his voice.
"No," the Bartender shook his head, "But ' Flame ' Danitz comes to Trier often. He likes it here. Well, he's Intis, and no Intis doesn't yearn for Trier."
Just as Lumian was about to say something, That One important figure from the sea, the Divine Emissary of the "The Fool" Church, "Flame" Danitz, finished his remaining Oat Beer, stood up, and walked towards the entrance of the "Sea Breeze" Bar.
Almost simultaneously, the Sailor who were playing cards, drinking, bragging, and Streetwalker stood up in an unusually orderly fashion.
They left the Bar quietly and orderly, without making a fuss, following "Flame" Danitz.
If Lumian hadn't witnessed this scene, he would never have realized that all the Sailor in the Bar were Subordinate Divine Emissary of That One "The Fool."
"Flame" Danitz... his nickname suggests he plays with fire... could he also be Pathway "Hunter"? Lumian, sipping his Lenzqi, chatted with the Bartender about the "The Fool's " Church:
What kind of Deity is That One ' The Fool '?
The Bartender drew a Triangular Holy Emblem on his chest, shook his head, and said, "I'm not a follower of His, how would I know?"
"Steam above!" Lumian also drew Triangular Holy Emblem on his chest.
The Bartender glanced at the much emptier hall and said, "But the ' The Fool ' Church is pretty good. Even if you're just a Vagrant, even if you don't believe in ' The Fool,' you can still receive communion if you enter their Church."
"If you ask them for help, you might even get a dinner with meat and Bread, and a room to sleep in."
"Do I need to go to line up now?" Lumian asked with a smile.
The Bartender shook his head again:
"No, they can't leave the Church to preach and Sermon. Only the Vagrant in the neighborhood know they can go there for help, but they only go every now and then because the ' The Fool's Church ' is more willing to introduce them to jobs."
After chatting for a while and finding out the time when the bishop of the "The Fool" Church Sermon, Lumian finished his glass of Lenzqi and, taking advantage of the early hour, carefully explored the surrounding neighborhood.
He discovered that many high points were guarded by troops, with cannons and giant firearms requiring water cooling mounted on them.
The government was still not entirely at ease with the Sailor and merchants at the Dock who had also worked as pirates... Lumian withdrew his gaze and hurried toward the "The Fool's " Church before it got dark.
The Church is simply decorated, without Gold Leaf or complex mechanical systems. Its most striking feature is its large and numerous windows, so there is no need for Candle or Oil Lamps lamps for lighting before Evernight.
Like most religious sites, this place features giant murals on its walls, but the colors are not vibrant and tend to be muted.
By the light of Twilight, Lumian glanced over the murals and discovered that they mainly depicted a Wilderness and humans struggling to make their way through Wilderness.
Some of these humans were unusually tall, like legendary Giant compared to the others; some had three eyes, and some had no noses, only two Black Hole, making them more like Monster than normal people.
The Pain and Despair on their faces were so vivid, yet there was a glimmer of light in their eyes.
Walking ahead of these strange humans were several more fully developed and specific guides. Some had gray hair and carried two Straight Sword on their backs; some carried a massive, deep blue hammer and radiated a Sun -like light; some wore dark armor and had silver-gray curly hair...
Before these guides, there was a figure standing with its back to the viewer.
The figure was wearing a black trench coat, Medium-Height Silk Top Hat, and had a straight back, carrying a Hurricane Lantern.
Beyond that silhouette was a beam of light— the Altar of the "The Fool's " Church, the Silver-White Holy Emblem radiating its glow under the Sunlight high above.
Lumian then turned his gaze to the few remaining Stained Glass, which depicted Angel and Saint in a rather flamboyant style. Some of them had appeared in the murals before, while others had not— Angel had wings and halos, while Saint only had halos.
After carefully walking around and observing for more than half an hour, Lumian found a place to sit down and wait for the Sermon at six o'clock in the evening.
As time went on, many people entered the Church. Some were dressed as merchants, some were typical Sailor, some were Dock who had just finished a long day's work, and some seemed to be Streetwalker.
As the bells rang, candlelight was lit, and the bishop arrived at the Altar.
His hair was blond, as were his Eyes. He was a good 2.56 meters tall, wearing a specially made Black Trench Coat and Medium-Height Silk Top Hat, and he didn't look like Clergy at all.
After a slight adjustment, the rugged-looking bishop placed his hand on his chest and shouted in a booming voice, "Praise the Fool!"
"Praise the Fool!" The believers present responded with the same gesture, and Lumian was very sociable.
That One bishop then opened the black-and-silver-patterned Holy Scripture in his hand and began to proclaim in a voice that echoed throughout the Church hall, "Our Lord calls himself ' The Fool.' In the Past, in the present, and in the Future, he is the great Ruler governs the Spirit World, the King of Yellow and Black who holds good fortune, and the Beacon of eternity for every living being..."
"He is merciful, he is benevolent, he is the Savior of this world, and he lets us refer to him as 'he' rather than 'him'..."
"Our Lord dwells above the Spirit World, His mercy is sprinkled throughout Heaven and earth, and eight Angel stand beside His throne..."
"The ' Angel of Mercury ' is the embodiment of Destiny, the Angel most beloved by our Lord; the ' Angel of Death ' is the being who has followed our Lord the longest, the Archon of the Underworld; the ' Angel of Redemption ' is the trumpet of our Lord, who once incarnated as Gehrman Sparrow to deliver his Divine Revelation; the ' Angel of Life ' is the crystallization of wisdom, the indelible spirituality within each person."
Gehrman Sparrow? That One Great Adventurer is Mr. The Fool's Angel? Lumian was both shocked and astonished.
The Giant bishop continued, "Beside the throne of the Lord are the ' Angel of Retribution,' who are the Lord's thunder, the Lord's wrath, the Lord's hand, the judge and Judgement of all Fallen and unclean people."
"Next to the ' Angel of Retribution ' is the ' Angel of Spirits,' who is the King of all spirits and reigns over the Spirit World on behalf of our Lord."
"Against them are the ' Angel of Time ' and the ' Angel of Stars '."
"The ' Angel of Time ' are Angel from ancient times who ultimately submitted to our Lord and rang the Bell of Heaven for Him."
"The ' Angel of Stars ' are witnesses, Recording, and the eyes and ears of our Lord..."
Lumian listened intently, unable to believe that there were eight Angel beside the throne of "The Fool".
That's terrifying strength!
This really isn't much different from the Orthodox God Church!
Suddenly, the Termiboros rang in his ears:
Do you believe it?
"Why don't you believe it?" Lumian asked in a very low voice, as if reciting a passage from the Holy Scripture.
Even if the "The Fool's " Church's Holy Scripture contain exaggerations, what Orthodox God Church's Holy Scripture aren't like that?
It will definitely be amazing after removing the moisture!
