"Reckless"
Sensing Albus and Alois's gaze, Lumian, carrying the Carbide Lamp, slowly approached the wounded black giant spider.
As a "Hunter," he has a clear understanding of his two teammates' current attitudes:
It's like being in a dark forest where everyone is Hunter, but once you expose your weakness, you become the prey and are attacked by the others.
Albus and Alois now wanted to see Lumian's condition and abilities.
They didn't seem to believe Lumian could easily defeat the "Wax Figures Maker," thinking he must have paid a considerable price. Moreover, they wanted to figure out the specific Sequence and Mystical Item carried by the previous winner of the King Cake Game.
Lumian had no doubt about killing the heavily injured black giant spider, but he didn't want to reveal his trump card, "Spirit World Traversal" combined with "Heng-Ha Art," to Albus and Alois.
As he approached the giant black spider, his mind raced, considering the most costly, time-efficient, and effortless way to fight.
Lumian's gaze tore through most of the black giant spider in the hall from the side, the dark red blood still seeping out. Unable to escape like its kind, he relaxed and reached into his pocket with his left hand, took out a Silver-White ear clip, and clipped it to his left earlobe.
"Lie"!
Having fully digested the "Pyromaniac" Potion, Lumian's emotions were more stable, and he could now use "Lie" while secretly carrying the "Torture" gauntlets.
One after another, crimson Flames Crow materialized around him.
Almost simultaneously, the giant black spider reacted. A dark red light flashed from its withered heart on its back, and as before, it created a large number of dangerous Fireball, as if weaving a crimson web to protect itself.
With a whoosh, the Fire Raven around Lumian flew out, tracing different paths as they headed towards their target.
The hundreds of crimson Fireball on the surface of the giant black spider responded to the stimulus and shot out with a whooshing sound.
Rumble!
In an instant, some Fire Raven were intercepted by the Fireball, while others detonated the Fireball Fire Raven, causing a series of explosions around the giant black spider and sending up bursts of flame.
Just then, a bright Fireball flew out from the side, attempting to hit the exit of the hall.
Lumian had been waiting for this opportunity; he raised his left hand and snapped his fingers.
With a bang, the bright Fireball lost its balance and crashed to the ground.
It didn't explode; instead, flames shot upwards, revealing the silhouette of a giant black spider.
Lumian charged Past, pressing Subordinate, and streams of crimson fire erupted from his palm.
They Entanglement layer by layer, compressed to the point of being almost white.
Rushing to the side of the black giant spider, which was still dazed from crashing to the ground, Lumian leaned forward and swung his left arm, slamming the Blazing White Fireball directly onto the gruesome tear, sending it into its target's body.
Amidst the frantic flapping of its limbs, the giant black spider managed to turn its body, while Lumian had already taken the opportunity to lean back and roll repeatedly, creating distance between them.
His figure appeared beside the crimson ocean created by the Fire Raven and Fireball, far away from the target whose aura had become violent.
Boom!
The Blazing White Fireball exploded inside the giant black spider's body. The burning wasn't very noticeable, but the rapid expansion of the gas completely tore the supernatural creature apart, throwing out pieces of its chitinous shell along with flesh.
The giant black spider let out a series of squeaks, its eight bristly legs stretching and contracting wildly.
Lumian gave it no chance to recover, having already conjured a Reddish White spear and hurled it at its target.
The spear, Entanglement Flames, flew through the air and accurately pierced the gaping wound, pinning the giant black spider to the ground.
The spear immediately disintegrated, its internal organs Burning into flames. The giant black spider twitched a few times before falling silent.
Lumian didn't rush to approach his prey. He turned to Albus and Alois, removed the "Lie" ear clip, and said with a smile, "Solved."
As he spoke, he conjured dozens of crimson Fire Raven, sending a group of them to fly toward the seemingly dead black giant spider.
Boom!
The giant black spider leaped up again and deliberately detonated its own body.
It was just pretending to be dead!
Unfortunately, Lumian was too far away and didn't fall into the trap, but only a dozen or so Fire Raven were sacrificed.
The remaining crimson Fire Raven all flew out, tearing at the black giant spider's mangled body, bringing it back to "calm."
Seeing this, Albus slowly nodded and said reluctantly, "Not bad."
Alois looked on thoughtfully, offering no response to Lumian's announcement.
Lumian turned to the motionless giant black spider and waited until a tiny bit of Iron-Black light emanated from its body before Past.
After observing the black giant spider's condition, he decided to take advantage of its weakened state—its ability to control Flames was likely diminished, and its movements were no longer swift and agile. So he used "Lie," taking advantage of its Flames -manipulation properties to complement his own speed and agility.
The Iron-Black light did not Aggregation on the black giant spider's compound eyes as Lumian had expected; instead, it flowed like a stream into the withered, blackened heart embedded in its back.
Lumian stopped beside his prey, watching the scene with a puzzled expression. After the Beyonder Characteristic were fully extracted, he decided to take it away first and then confirm the results. He pried off the shriveled heart, black compound eyes, and venom glands from the mouthparts, and put them into different Hidden Pocket and Metal Vial.
"You're not just an ' Pyromaniac ' and haven't become a ' Conspirer ' yet, are you?" Albus's mocking voice rang out.
You know I joined the Iron and Blood Cross Order not long before I became Pyromaniac ... Lumian muttered to himself, straightened up, and smiled, saying, "Yes, I was just an Pyromaniac then."
"The Pyromaniac can't kill the Wax Figures Maker..." Alois muttered to herself.
Albus's gaze swept over the pocket where Lumian the "Lie" ear clip, but he said nothing more.
See? I'm telling the truth. If you don't believe me and have doubts, there's nothing I can do... Lumian chuckled, picked up the Carbide Lamp, and headed towards the exit of the hall.
After another dark Passageway, they arrived at a deep, secluded room.
Bathed in a yellowish light, one after another, Tin Soldiers wearing blue jackets with gold trim appeared in the room.
Unlike children's Doll, each of them is nearly two meters tall, and the long spears they hold gleam coldly and are extremely sharp.
"If these came to life, they would be an army," Albus remarked meaningfully.
Army, soldiers... Lumian suddenly recalled the feeling of wanting to submit in the King Cake Game, his reaction when the Wax Figures attacked him, and the embarrassing hierarchical structure within the "Iron and Blood Cross Order"—"Legion Commander," "Deputy Legion Commander," "Chief," "Noncommissioned Officer," and "Soldier."
Amidst a flurry of thoughts, Lumian began to form a certain guess:
"What are the Pathway beyond ' Hunter ' that involve the military, obedience, and ranks?"
"Are Wax Figures driven soldiers, and these Tinplate Doll as well? Do High-Sequence individuals in the ' Hunter ' Pathway have the ability to create their own Special Soldier?"
"The Underground Palace of Red Swan Castle are truly filled with traces of the ' Hunter's Pathway,' no wonder I keep encountering Monster from that Pathway..."
This also meant that Lumian didn't need to search; he could simply gain something through battle.
What a dangerous hunting ground it is—one where you could become prey, or one where you could reap a rich harvest! He exclaimed sincerely.
Lumian then saw Albus Medici create one compressed, Blazing White Fireball after another, and casually toss them into different parts of the room.
These Fireball did not explode; they remained silently on the ground, on the shoulders and hats of the Tin Soldiers.
After the three left the room, Albus handed the Carbide Lamp to his left hand, raised his right palm, Imitation snapped his fingers like Lumian.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Inside the room behind them, the Blazing White Fireball exploded one after another, igniting each other and causing the ground to tremble slightly.
"Delayed Explosion!"
One of the Pyromaniac's abilities is "Delayed Explosion"!
Although the Tin Soldiers inside the room were all made of metal, they were all damaged by the huge Impact. Some were missing arms or legs, some had their internal Parts broken, and some were even buried in the Stone Bricks by the collapsed walls.
Seeing Lumian looking at him, Albus smiled:
"Eliminating hidden dangers is the same as dealing with those Wax Figures."
"I thought you wouldn't dare," Lumian replied with a smile.
He knew Albus's purpose the moment he saw him. What surprised him was that the Underground Palace of Red Swan Castle seemed to have some kind of self-protection mechanism; no matter how big the explosion or Flames, it could only affect one room and would not spill out.
Hmm, without this kind of self-protection, given the Monster roaming this place, Red Swan Castle would have collapsed long ago... Lumian saw another sloping downward corridor ahead.
At the end of the corridor was a heavy double iron door, its dark background splattered with large patches of red, as if someone had splashed blood on it.
Alois took a slow breath and walked up to Lumian and Albus.
She made her way to the gate, put down the Carbide Lamp, stretched out her hands, leaned forward, and began to push.
Amidst a teeth-grinding scraping sound, the double Iron-Black Gate slowly swung open.
Lumian suddenly saw a large expanse of candlelight, and his eyelids twitched involuntarily.
The Bronze Coffin that had appeared in his Nightmare was now vividly reflected in his eyes.
At this point, nearly a third of the White Candles around the Coffin had gone out, but a large portion was still Burning.
In the flickering candlelight, the door was fully open. Lumian quickly looked around but didn't see anyone else.
The three "Hunter" stood at the doorway, and no one moved forward for more than ten seconds.
Finally, Albus Medici turned his head and asked sarcastically, "Why don't you go in?"
"Why did you stop too?" Alois Einhorn asked instead of answering.
"We're waiting for you to come in first," Lumian said with a relaxed smile.
This hall looks dangerous and hides a huge secret, so of course we need to let someone else scout it out first!
Lumian discovered that not only he thought this way, Albus and Alois did too.
Albus withdrew his gaze and chuckled softly.
"Since you're all cowards, I'll have to do it myself."
After saying that, he suddenly knelt down on one knee and placed his hands on the ground.
Two crimson fire serpents shot out silently, heading straight for the Bronze Coffin.
"Hey! "Lumian's eyes narrowed; he hadn't expected Albus to be so reckless.
To attack the most problematic entity without any prior reconnaissance?
Alois's expression froze, and her Subordinate reached forward, as if trying to stop Albus.
