Three Hunters Put on a Show
Alois stretched out her right palm and launched a crimson Fireball.
The Fireball hurtled towards the two fire snakes and crashed into the ground.
With a deafening roar, it engulfed the fire serpents in its own explosion, preventing them from rushing towards the Bronze Coffin.
Albus picked up the Carbide Lamp and stood up.
He looked at Alois and said with a grin, "So you do know something, huh?"
Albus then mocked Lumian:
"You know nothing."
Damn! If it weren't for the inappropriate setting, I would definitely have "sparred" with you and the book... Lumian then realized that Albus's Albus just now was a test, a trap.
"This is the Sauron Family's Red Swan Castle." Alois didn't directly respond to Albus, but simply stated a fact.
She's saying, "I have the blood of the Sauron Family, and I've lived in Red Swan Castle for almost six years. Isn't it normal for me to know something?"
Albus turned his gaze to the White Candles, which was nearly a third extinguished, and asked directly, as if he hadn't heard Alois's words, "What are you doing Depths the Underground Palace? How can we cooperate with you and help you if you don't tell us?"
Alois gazed at the Bronze Coffin and, to Lumian's surprise, gave her an answer:
"I want to see this place, known as the family's forbidden area, a place only a select few can enter, and find out if the Curse in our bloodline is related to this place."
"You're an Einhorn, huh? Do you really think you're a member of the Sauron Family?" Albus Medici mocked the Lady.
This was both a sarcastic remark about Alois not telling the whole truth and a provocation to sow discord between her and the Sauron Family, making her realize her own identity and that there was no need for her to help the Sauron Family conceal certain secrets. Lumian discerned two layers of meaning in Albus's words.
This made him suspect that the other party was a "Conspirer," and that their always annoying demeanor was a trap disguised as something else.
Provocation, Alois sighed and said, "I have half Sauron Family blood and am also a ' Hunter,' so I am also tormented by that Curse."
At this point, she looked at Albus Medici and said, "What are you doing Depths the Underground Palace? You don't really want to play my silly cousin's childish games, do you?"
Albus in a tone that was half sighing and half sincere, "The Curse of the Sauron Family should end."
"To break this Curse, we must first understand Curse nature and origin."
"You're being so kind?" Alois no longer acted obediently or reservedly.
Albus laughed:
"You don't understand. This is called the highest form of love and compassion. Kindness knows no boundaries, and that is what I am."
I believe you're a fool... However, a true "Conspirer" doesn't just tell Lie; they always tell half-truths, or even all the truth, just lacking the crucial parts... What was true in Albus Medici's answer just now? Could he really be trying to help the Sauron Family break the Curse? Alois said, I still believe it; how could an outsider with no connection to the Sauron Family have such good intentions... Is this an inevitable consequence of him achieving his true goal? Lumian, analyzing the answers of his two "teammates."
He also didn't truly believe Alois, thinking that what she said was only partially true:
Her sudden change in demeanor, ordering the giant black spiders to leave, was not something a neglected girl living in her grandfather's house could accomplish!
Alois dismissed Albus's explanation with a disdainful smile, then the two of them simultaneously looked at Lumian and asked in unison, "Why did you go Depths into the Underground Palace?"
"Me?" Lumian pointed to himself with his free left hand, answering very honestly, "Someone Commission me to investigate the reasons for the Decay of the Sauron Family and gave me some things."
The Commissioner refers to Gardner Martin, and the "east and west" refers to the dangerous Corruption inside the building at No. 13 Market Avenue, but Lumian did not say whether he accepted it.
Albus smiled, knowing Lumian's "true identity," and thus approved of the Lie.
Alois's Eyes flickered slightly, as if she were quickly analyzing which parts of Lumian's words were true and which were Lie or incomplete.
After a brief silence, Lumian sighed and preemptively accused Albus and Alois:
"You ' Hunter,' you've said so much, yet not a single one of you has taken a single step forward!"
The three remained blocking the entrance, none of them daring to enter the hall, all waiting for their teammates to step on the landmine.
"It's such a waste of time to talk to you all," Albus remarked.
He still didn't take a step forward, and clicked his tongue, saying, "At this moment, it would be great if there was a Sailor Pathway Beyonder here."
"Don't assume that ' Sailor ' Pathway Beyonder are necessarily irritable, reckless, careless, and Potion do have some influence, but the most important factors determining a person's behavior are still their Personality and experience. If you use this stereotype to deal with ' Sailor ' Pathway Beyonder in the future, it might become a trait." Alois mocked Albus.
Lumian didn't join their argument, but asked thoughtfully, "Would we have arrived here even if we hadn't chosen the middle path and the ' Madness Door '?"
"Yes, but some rooms will be more dangerous." Alois stared at the scene in the hall, motionless.
Lumian nodded and asked further, "Will we encounter Monster at the Half-God level?"
"Most of the Beyonder Characteristic of Half-God have been recovered, but many of those below the Half-God level remain in the Underground Palace, turning this place into a restricted hunting ground to facilitate Hunting and self-improvement for members of the Sauron Family." Alois seemed to have no intention of hiding anything from the Sauron Family.
The vast majority has been recovered... which means some are still Depths within the Underground Palace? Did this situation arise alongside the complete disappearance of some Core Member? Is the Sauron Family unwilling to recover them, or simply lacking the capability?
Hmm, Alois's description fits the current situation of the Sauron Family. They have a few Half-God at the Saint level, and many Core Member are scattered in the military, politics, and business world, all of whom have considerable strength... What they lack is a higher level of power? No Angel, only a "0" level Sealed Artifact, or perhaps, there is only one Angel? Lumian glanced left and right and found that Alois and Albus were very patient, as if they had fixed themselves in place.
To be honest, Lumian really wanted to see what Fortune awaited Alois and Albus, to gauge the danger of entering the Depths hall of the Underground Palace. However, considering Alois's unusual Change in demeanor and Termiboros's recent unusual quietness, he abandoned the Destiny.
That not only carries significant risks, but could also mislead him!
Just then, Lumian suddenly had a Danger Sense.
He turned around abruptly, casting his gaze and the light from the Carbide Lamp simultaneously toward what was behind him.
Albus and Alois did the same thing.
In the sloping corridor, a Crimson, almost black hand with prominent veins emerged from the darkness and pressed against the wall surface, which was stained with a yellowish light.
Lumian's eyelids twitched as he recalled the most memorable scene from the Nightmare stemming from the King Cake Game:
Inside the Bronze Coffin surrounded by White Candles, a Crimson, almost black hand with prominent veins suddenly reached out and grasped a shriveled, blackened heart that was oozing a little blood!
The dangerous creature inside the Bronze Coffin has emerged? Before Lumian Future react and use "Spirit World Traversal," he felt an intense fear that made him want to submit, and his back involuntarily hunched over.
In an instinctive act of resistance and struggle, he, Albus, Alois subconsciously took a step back and stepped into the hall.
In an instant, they both experienced hallucinations.
Lumian "saw" the hall covered in illusory Purple Flames, like a Burning Hell from mythology.
At the heart of the purple flames was the Bronze Coffin, which had become transparent, seemingly devoid of substance, revealing a Iron-Black Ring that it had suppressed.
The Ring was embedded in the ground, with a thick, bottomless Blood-Colored Spring Water in the center. Several shriveled, blackened, withered hearts in the water sank and floated up at different times.
Blood Lines spread outwards from the Iron-Black Ring, some Entanglement around the bottom of the Bronze Coffin and disappearing inside, others connecting to the White Candles.
The next second, Lumian heard a frenzied and violent, ethereal roar that seemed to come from the Depths the Underground.
His mind went blank for a moment, and he instantly lost consciousness.
In the endless, boundless darkness, the still-dazed Lumian vaguely heard a grand, layered sound, but couldn't make out what the other person was saying.
He listened intently, his mind hazy, and the melodious tunes of Aurora's humming and the ethereal flutes of the Shepherd echoed in his ears.
"I am the Elf of spring..."
The sounds grew increasingly noisy, and Lumian felt a burning sensation in his right palm.
The heat was intense and rapid, causing a burning pain.
Pain... pain! Lumian suddenly regained consciousness and opened his eyes.
He saw a crimson Fireball ahead and felt himself being restrained by Metal Frame, forced to stand upright.
At this moment, a Black Robe man with a thick, bright red beard, resembling a human- Lion, stood in front of the Metal Frame, pressing softened white wax piece by piece onto his body.
Without hesitation, Lumian activated the Black Mark on his right shoulder without further examination or fighting.
With a flash of light, he disappeared into the Metal Frame, taking some of the white wax with him.
Lumian's figure quickly appeared at the entrance to the Underground Labyrinth of Red Swan Castle.
He quickly looked around and, seeing nothing amiss, breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Immediately afterwards, Lumian patted the white wax off his body while checking his belongings.
To his surprise, he found that not only were all the original Mystical Item, Gold Coin, Banknotes, and various potions still there, but even the "Wax Figures Maker's " Beyonder Characteristic and the shriveled heart he had obtained in the Underground Palace were all still there.
No one searched me? Lumian was surprised, and a series of disjointed images Flash through her mind:
That was the image of him walking silently in the darkness after losing his Carbide Lamp.
In those images, his expression was blank, his face stiff, like a wax Wax Figures.
Finally, he went to a room on his own, crawled into the Metal Frame, and calmly waited for the "Wax Figures Maker" to turn him into Wax Figures.
This is nothing like me... Lumian rubbed his throbbing head and chose to go up the steps to leave the Underground Labyrinth.
He quickly returned to the large living room on the first floor and saw the Poet Ilett happily drinking Absinthe.
"You're back too?" Ilett asked curiously.
"Yes." Lumian on the sofa and said with a smile, "I got separated from them."
Albus he finished speaking than Albus, with his reddish hair, appeared at the entrance to the living room.
