The "real" map
Among the kingdoms of the Northern Continent, only the "Lord of Storms" of Loen holds Authority over the seas. However, Sailor, Sea Merchants, and adventurers who worship other Deity all have a need to avoid Shipwreck and extreme weather, and to pray for corresponding protection. Thus, some compromises or special situations have arisen:
Some Church have erected Subordinate God, Angel, or Saint with powers related to storms and the sea for believers to pray to in response to specific needs; for example, the "Sea God" of the "The Fool" Church.
Some Church tacitly allow certain believers to have a superficial faith in the "Lord of Storms";
Some Church turn a blind eye to the local folk beliefs native to ports and islands, allowing them to hold specific Ritual, but without sending Clergy to preside over them.
The Sea-Praying Ritual at Santa Port in the Kingdom of Feynapotter falls into this last category. The corresponding folk customs are said to date back to the Fourth Epoch period. It is held annually, and its scale is controlled by the Church of the "Earth Mother." It is not large, only affecting this one port, and it is not publicized to the outside world.
In other words, almost no one who isn't a local of Santa Port, or a merchant, adventurer, or pirate who frequently travels along the Sea of Fog coast, knows about this Sea-Praying Ritual.
After obtaining the relevant information, Lumian made a preliminary judgment that one of the "Wandering Poet" and "Ultraman" who played pranks at the Sea-Praying Ritual was either a local of Santa Port or someone who was active at sea.
Considering that the "Wandering Poet" deliberately entrusted his "The Secret Records of Emperor Roselle" to an underground bookseller in Trier for publication, Lumian is more inclined to believe that "Ultraman" was the one who first proposed to disrupt the Sea-Praying Ritual at Santa Port.
--Although "The Secret Records of Emperor Roselle" sounds more suitable for sale in Intis, if the "Wandering Poet" resides in the Kingdom of Feynapotter for an extended period, then considering his own safety and Concealment, it would be a better choice to publish it under his own name in the Kingdom of Feynapotter first, and then sell it to Intis through illegal channels. Otherwise, he would easily be targeted by Intis's secret Police.
Countless Beyonder have underestimated ordinary Police and investigators, only to be noticed and arrested by Official Beyonder who came to investigate after being alerted.
Hearing that Batna and his companion wanted to witness the Sea-Praying Ritual in Santa Port, Lumian smiled and waved his hand:
"Me too!"
He pulled back out of the window and waited until almost noon before writing down his experiences of the past two days and his plans for dealing with Bourman's "legacy" in a letter.
After folding the letter and wrapping it with the fake treasure map, Lumian summoned Chazot Rabbit again.
The Rabbit -like Spirit World Creature still wore those Gold-Rimmed Glasses, and even had a small, blurry, Medium-Height Silk Top Hat.
Lumian stared silently for a few seconds before handing Past the items that needed to be sent to Franca and Jenna.
"Thank you," he said politely.
That's polite!
"You're welcome." Chazot Rabbit removed his Medium-Height Silk Top Hat and bowed slightly.
Lumian's lips twitched slightly as he watched the mutated "Knowledge Rabbit" disappear into the room.
He was genuinely worried that one day the Rabbit might pull out a gun and attack the letter writer at the slightest provocation.
I need to remind Jenna next time not to feed Chazot Rabbit such dangerous knowledge!
Trier, Memorial Hall District, 9 Orosei Street, Apartment 702.
Franca looked at Chazot Rabbit, who was now wearing Half-Top Hat and Gold-Rimmed Glasses, and couldn't help but lean close to Jenna's ear and whisper, "Wouldn't it be too dangerous to let it read the Great Adventurer series of novels?"
Jenna smiled gently and said, "Don't you think Chazot Rabbit is cute like this?"
"Besides, Messenger also face dangers. Keep an eye on Gehrman Sparrow; it might become a little stronger."
Franca had only mentioned it casually, then quickly put it aside, unfolding the fake treasure map and letter, and began to read them carefully:
"Wow, Lumian is really efficient! He said he would Punishment Bourman for his crimes, and he completed the Hunting in less than twelve hours!"
"The Beyonder Characteristic didn't form Sealed Artifact of mixed abilities; instead, they separated and combined individually... because before Bourman died, he no longer had that madness and obsession, and his emotions had become peaceful?"
"Hehe, in the future, if we encounter similar cases, there's no need to notify '007' so quickly. Let's wait a day, and maybe Lumian and the book will resolve it themselves, everything will be back to normal, and world peace will prevail. That way, '007' won't be able to blame me for always causing him trouble."
She has already told Jenna that her official collaborator codename is "007".
"So fast? The ' Devil Warlock ' is quite powerful..." Jenna was somewhat incredulous.
That's Criminal with a bounty of 600,000 Felkine, more than all the Felkine she's ever seen combined!
Lumian's bounty was less than 100,000.
Franca pursed her lips and said, "Think about what he went through in Trier, think about what he has and his abilities, he's practically a supermodel, okay?"
"If he releases them, it will be a devastating blow to those Beyonder; they won't be much weaker than most Sequence 5!"
Jenna recalled the dangerous times she and Lumian had gone through together, and slowly nodded, saying, "What is 'dimensional reduction'?"
Franca was stunned for a moment, and after a few seconds she said, "It's like an adult bullying a child, Half-God bullying Low-Sequence Beyonder being."
"Furthermore, think about it. That kind of Half-Mad Beyonder, the ' Devil Warlock,' has significant problems in his mind, psychology, emotions, and body. He's completely countered by Lumian's ' Hateful Movement.' Fighting him only requires being wary of his unique, fused abilities and not provoking him into turning into Monster. Lumian has experience with this, so he certainly won't be careless."
"Now that you mention it, it doesn't seem like killing the ' Devil Warlock ' is that difficult," Jenna muttered softly.
"You can't say that. It's more accurate to say that the Forced-Conversion Pathway does make you very strong and dangerous, but it also has significant drawbacks and numerous problems, making you vulnerable to being targeted." Franca corrected Jenna's incorrect viewpoint while continuing to read Lumian's letter.
After watching it, she exclaimed with great interest, "The sea is so much fun! The scenery is beautiful too. If I weren't tied up with a mission, I'd love to go to sea and become an adventurer, Hunting pirates!"
Leaning back on the sofa, Jenna, looking at the letter from behind, was also feeling a little tempted.
Who doesn't love to travel? It's just that we didn't have the opportunity before.
After calming her surging emotions, Franca clicked her tongue and said, "Lumian is really generous. He actually donated all his bounty and Spoils of War to establish a charitable foundation."
"Sigh, I can actually understand his thinking..."
To this day, she is still secretly supporting the family of the Original Owner of the Body.
As they spoke, Franca and Jenna each began performing "Magic Mirror Divination."
They received the same answer:
That map is real!
"Both Bourman and that Undead Islander Harrison admit that part of this map is fake and cannot help adventurers reach Resurrection Island. They might even encounter great danger along the way... So where is it fake?" Franca turned her gaze to the treasure map and fell into deep thought.
On the map, the place marked Resurrection Island is located Depths the Sea of Fog, far from Aroca, the westernmost colonial island of the Republic of Intis.
"Can't tell the fake parts?" Lumian shook his head after receiving the reply and continued reading the information on Spirit World Creature in his hand.
He was looking inside to see if there was any information about the "Aden" Evil Spirit that Bourman had summoned from the Depths death.
After flipping through documents until evening, Lumian filled his stomach in his room, picked up his recently favored Golden-yellow Straw Hat, went down to the deck, and entered the Bar.
By this time, the "Flying Bird" had already left Falin Port. Unsurprisingly, Batna and his female companion were sitting at the bar, chatting animatedly with the passengers around them about the death of "Devil Warlock" Bourman.
"We don't know which adventurer did it either. If it hadn't been officially announced, we wouldn't have known Bourman was killed. No one in the entire adventurer community of Falin Port knew beforehand!" Batna, holding the Lenzqi, said excitedly, "Falin Port actually had such a powerful adventurer hidden there! Indeed, we can't be Pride or conceited; perhaps the Vagrant sitting by the roadside is the most formidable one!"
At this point, he saw Lumian squeezing in and whistled, "You're staying in First Class? You're really rich?"
"Not exactly rich," Lumian chuckled as he sat down on the Bar Stool. "I just feel that at sea, you could encounter any accident, you could be killed by pirates at any moment, so why not treat yourself as well as possible? What's the point of accumulating a lot of money if you're dead? Since you've become an adventurer, you should live each day to the fullest, because you never know if there will be a tomorrow."
"Since you've become an adventurer, you should live each day to the fullest, because you never know if there will be a tomorrow..." The Women adventurer beside Batna repeated Lumian's last words in a low voice, seemingly moved by them.
Batna took a Lenzqi and chuckled, saying, "But the prerequisite is having some savings, otherwise if you indulge yourself today, you'll go hungry tomorrow."
"Oh, 600,000 Felkine... Bourman wonder which adventurer got his 600,000 Felkine, and all those items he had..."
Batna wore an expression of longing and envy.
Lumian picked up the Absinthe he had just ordered and took a small sip.
Amidst the delicate fragrance, a faint bitterness lingers.
Over the next few days, the "Flying Bird" sailed peacefully toward the Kingdom of Feynapotter.
Philip, the security chief, felt a sense of unreality about this.
Has the Bad Luck Past?
Big trouble has disembarked?
Was the death of "Devil Warlock" Bourman caused by a major problem entering Falin Port?
With only one day left to reach Santa Port, Philip saw his Subordinate bring him a Telegram.
"Boss, it's from one of your comrades in Falin Port." The Subordinate handed the folded Telegram to Philip.
What's going on in Falin Port Falin Port I need to know? Big trouble has arisen there; have they traced it back to the "Flying Bird"? Philip unfolded the Telegram with a puzzled look, scanning its contents:
"Adventurers hunting ' Devil Warlock ' Bourman are suspected to be on your ship."
His name is Louis Berri.
