The source of familiarity
"It's related to the ' Celestial Master '?" Franca immediately perked up.
She was immediately filled with doubt:
"In Fourth Epoch Trier, what did you hear and see that we did not hear or see?"
Everyone was together, except for the time before they met, but Jenna shouldn't have known!
Before Lumian could answer, Franca pondered for a moment and asked, "The side effects of using the ' Eye of Truth '?"
She remembered Lumian's unusual behavior at the time.
"Yes." Lumian nodded, pulled up a chair and sat down, beginning with the image of two stones colliding, sparks flying, and igniting dry leaves and twigs, until all the voices roared, "Celestial Master!"
Franca listened more and more intently, unlike usual when she liked to exchange a few words with someone in between.
During this process, her gaze gradually drifted away, as if recalling memories or gazing into the distance.
After Lumian finished speaking, she remained motionless for a long time, as if a mechanical Puppet had been paused.
After a dozen seconds, Franca suddenly sat up straight, pinched her nose, and forced a smile:
"Indeed, the ' Celestial Master ' is from our world."
"The fragments of Civilization you received are similar to parts of my country's history, yet there are some differences... Perhaps that is the true history hidden beneath the surface?"
"The ' Celestial Master ' is also attempting to interfere with and enter this world, exerting a strong influence on Pathway the ' Mystery Pryer ' and ' Generalist,' much like That One Celestial Worthy did on the ' Seer,' ' Apprentice,' and ' Thief '?"
"The corruption of some Monks in the Deep Valley Monastery and the abnormal state of the ' Hidden Sage ' are all related to the ' Celestial Master '?"
As Franca spoke, her thoughts became clearer, and her Lake-Colored Eyes sparkled.
"That's what I was thinking too," Lumian agreed with Franca's statement.
Franca stood up abruptly and paced back and forth as if no one else was around, seemingly pondering how to follow this lead and uncover the truth behind the Curly-Haired Baboon Research Society members' Transmigration.
A few minutes later, she muttered to herself, "The connection between the two worlds is closer than I thought, and it's not just through the River of the Underworld..."
"We should still be able to find quite a few traces of global interaction..."
At this point, Franca stopped pacing and looked at Lumian:
"Once we're stronger and have accumulated enough gold, I think you should summon Chen Tu again—that Armored Wraith. He should have some understanding of ' Celestial Master ' as well."
"Okay," Lumian agreed.
Franca fell silent again, lost in thought.
A moment later, she took out four thin Brass-Colored metal plates and handed them to Lumian:
"The ' Language Comprehension ' Charm you requested, the one with the most intricate pattern, will allow you to understand the languages of the Southern Continent. The others can only be used in the Old Feysac, and the activation incantation is the Ancient Hermetic Vocabulary 'knowledge'."
She and "Bear" completed the delivery of items through Lady Hella's Messenger, who was quite efficient.
After Lumian returned the money Franca had advanced to her, he "Teleportation" away from Trier and returned to Santa Port.
Hearing that there was no more noise outside Jenna cautiously opened the bedroom door and peeked out:
"Lumian is gone?"
"Yes," Franca replied, not in a very good mood.
Jenna glanced at her, but didn't ask about what had just happened. Instead, she steered the conversation toward the stack of documents related to the Underground Tomb Chamber.
Late Night.
Franca returned to her room.
She glanced at the Small Analytical Engine and the accompanying typewriter and Radio Transceiver, then, instead of sitting down and starting a conversation as usual, she climbed directly into bed.
She sat in the middle of the Bed, leaning against the pillows, hugging her legs, curling herself up, her gaze unfocused as she stared at the Crimson Moon and stars outside the window.
What Lumian said today plunged her back into memories of the past, but the more obvious the emotional fluctuations, the less she wanted to show her vulnerability in front of others, and she kept forcing herself to hold back, pretending that she had recovered.
Only when there was no one else around, when the night became quiet, and when the seemingly unchanging Stars appeared high in the sky, did she take off her thick "armor" and immerse herself in that emotion, unable to extricate herself.
Franca gazed at the scene for an unknown amount of time before lowering her head and burying her face in her knees.
That night, she dreamed of so many things: the broad shoulders that carried her as a child; a fleeting glimpse of a gray hair at her temple; dishes that weren't particularly delicious but always to her liking; the purest feelings of her youth; and the version of herself everyone called "the life of the party" and "the carefree one"...
Those twenty years of her life surged through her mind in fragments, causing her to unconsciously open her eyes, quietly feeling the coolness on her face, not wanting to move at all.
Suddenly, she remembered something:
Previously, on the Fourth Level of the Catacombs, she and Jenna encountered a man who seemed somewhat familiar to her.
At the time, she thought the Original Owner of the Body had seen the other person before, but now she finally remembered why she felt familiar with them:
That man looked a lot like someone from the country she Transmigration before!
Although he had modified his appearance to prevent Franca from immediately making any connections, Franca was now quite certain that his features and contours were different from those of the people she had seen in this world; they were softer and less defined!
Franca sat up abruptly, a mixture of fear and excitement in her eyes. "Besides those of us who transmigrated through souls, there are also those Transmigration physical bodies?"
"Or, has the method been discovered that allows one to freely travel between the two worlds?"
After breakfast, Lumian went into the Washroom in the Master Bedroom and took out a low-level "Language Comprehension" Charm from the "Traveler’s Bag".
"Knowledge!" he murmured the corresponding Vocabulary in Ancient Hermetic.
The brass-like Charm suddenly ignited with a bluish-green Flames, which quickly disappeared.
At the same time, Lumian felt his mind become unusually clear, as if he had instantly understood a lot of additional knowledge and grasped the structural Source of many Vocabulary and the connections between them.
Today he was going to the oldest fishing village, and there was a chance he would meet the "Governor of the Sea." He felt it necessary to quietly learn the Highland Language so as not to miss any important clues!
The effect of this Charm lasts for seven days.
After leaving the bedroom, Lumian led Ludwig and Lugano in Hired Carriage to 21 Saint Lana Street, where they met Marta, the grandmother of the Paco Family.
She doesn't look over sixty; only fine wrinkles have appeared at the corners of her eyes, making her look like she's in her early fifties. Her eyes, nose, mouth, and eyebrows don't show any signs of aging, and she has a unique charm.
At this moment, the old lady, with her gray hair and light blue eyes, dressed in Black Widow- style dress and wearing a dark, old-fashioned soft hat, her face Paleness and Blood-Colored, was helped into Four-Wheeled, Four-Seater carriage by two young maids.
"Mr. Berri, thank you for your help." Ruvio Paco nodded to Lumian, who was standing beside the carriage.
He will accompany his mother to Milo Village to meet the "Governor of the Sea".
Lumian led Ludwig to Giorgia:
"Please look after him for me until I return from Milo Village."
Ruvio helped with the translation this time.
Giorgia smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll prepare enough food for him."
She had discovered that the little boy ate the equivalent of two or three adults, but as the Godson of Great Adventurer, such special treatment was understandable.
Lumian wasn't worried at all about whether Ludwig would be bullied at the Paco Family. He pretended not to understand the Highland Language and waited for Lugano to translate before saying, "Meals every two hours."
After saying this, he sat down on the right side of the Coachman without getting into the carriage. Seeing this, Lugano had no choice but to do the same and choose the left side of the Coachman.
Before that, he carefully translated Lumian's last words of advice.
Although he didn't know what would happen if Ludwig were starving, he had a feeling it wouldn't be a good thing, so he emphasized it twice.
As the carriage slowly began to move, Giorgia suddenly grasped the key point of the translation:
"Two hours between meals?"
Two hours?
The Paco Family's carriage traveled along the streets paved with Gray-White Stone Slab. Lumian leaned against the side of the carriage, pulled his right leg up, and placed it on the edge of the Coachman's seat.
Lugano glanced at him sideways, feeling a little uneasy.
He was also Bounty Hunter with considerable experience, and he knew that there must be something wrong with a mission that seemed ordinary and harmless, yet Ruvio was willing to help his employer hide in Milo Village.
As Lugano watched the pedestrians carrying melee weapons on the street, his heart pounded with anxiety, always fearing that a few figures would suddenly leap out from the crowd and launch an indiscriminate attack on them.
The Sunlight was still blazing in Santa Port in October, and the streets, still damp from the night's heavy rain, were not yet completely dry. Lugano was anxiously anticipating his arrival in Milo Village.
He subconsciously glanced at his employer again and found that Lumian had squinted his eyes and pulled his straw hat down at some point, looking like he was taking a leisurely nap, showing no signs of tension whatsoever.
Phew... With a strong person like him around, there shouldn't be any problems... Lugano silently Soothing himself.
The carriage traveled north, leaving Santa Port, and arrived at a village nestled against the remaining section of the Dalege Mountains, facing the azure sea.
Fishing boats are setting sail one after another, and you can occasionally hear loud singing and the calls of Seabirds.
The buildings in Milo Village are quite historic, with brown, yellow, or off-white exterior walls made entirely of Stone Bricks, the lower half of which have turned black. The wooden components have been replaced, but Weeds still grow on them.
On the side closer to the mountain, there is a small Church belonging to the "Earth Mother," while directly opposite the fishing village Dock is the mansion of the "Governor of the Sea."
It's four stories high, with white walls and gray bricks, a pointed roof, Tower, and stained glass windows with a bluish tint, making it look more like Church or a place of worship than a human dwelling.
Seeing that they had finally arrived at their destination without incident, Lugano breathed a sigh of relief, jumped off the carriage, and saw two maids supporting old lady Marta as they walked step by step toward the building where the "Governor of the Sea" was located, with Ruvio Paco accompanying them.
Just then, Lugano heard his employer's voice:
"Take a look and see what illness That One old lady has."
Uh... Lugano glanced at Lumian, who had somehow appeared beside him wearing a golden straw hat, then lightly tapped his forehead, activating his "Spirit Vision."
He stared at Madam Marta's retreating figure for a few seconds, and after she had completely entered the "Governor of the Sea's" residence, he frowned and said, "The most obvious sign is excessive blood loss and a weakened life force..."
Lugano paused for a moment, then hesitantly concluded:
"It doesn't look like illness, it's more like injury."
