Intuition
Aurora felt there was something wrong with it the more she thought about it:
Faced with the powerful Shepherd Pierre Berri, how could the Parish Priest Guillaume Béné, who currently possessed no Extraordinary Ability, possibly subdue him?
If the Parish Priest is someone who is favored by That One Hidden Being so much that the entire group regards him as their leader, then he should have received the Gift long ago and would no longer be Ordinary Person!
If he delays accepting the Gift, he will inevitably be ostracized.
In this situation, one's own strength and distance from the Deity are no match for status, power, cunning, or scheming.
Because there was no extra time to think, Aurora could only come up with two explanations:
Firstly, within that small group, Guillaume Béné was not the true leader. He merely used his special status to provide a venue for Conspiracy and concealed the unusual activities from the "Eternal Blazing Sun" Church in the Dalege Region. The real leader was someone else!
Secondly, Guillaume Béné was not refusing the Gift, but rather waiting for an opportunity that would allow him to directly acquire even greater power.
Neither explanation seems to be a good thing.
Aurora looked at the three Sheep and asked further, "Who was the person who attacked you with Pierre Berri?"
The three sheep each wrote down their own answers:
"Néol Best."
"A Shepherd named Néol."
He was called Néol.
Néol Best, he also gained great power? Aurora recognized this person.
He was also a Shepherd in Cordou Village, and often moved the sheep with Pierre Berri, but this time he didn't seem to have returned early.
"Where's Néol? I haven't seen him in the village," Aurora asked.
The three sheep took a few steps, left the place that was already full of Vocabulary, and found new blank soil to start writing:
He's dead.
"I killed him."
"We killed him, but we were still caught."
Died in a counterattack? Aurora nodded thoughtfully.
"Are you all Beyonder?"
The three sheep did not continue writing in the Highland Language with their hooves; instead, they nodded in affirmation.
Aurora hummed in agreement, her mind racing:
Pierre Berri and Néol Best's Hunting targets are both Beyonder —what are they planning?
And one of them died...
Either Néol's strength is far inferior to Pierre's, or they obtained their power through Gift and haven't mastered it yet, inevitably encountering some problems in the extraordinary battle...
Aurora looked at the three sheep again and said, "Do you know why Pierre captured you?"
The three sheep then each began to write:
"I've heard him mention God and dedication."
"It may have been used for blood sacrifices."
"I suspect he wants to sacrifice us to Evil God."
As expected, Beyonder possess extremely high spirituality and unique characteristics, making Sacrifice many times stronger than Ordinary Person, and more likely to please the Evil God... Pierre Berri and Néol Best are using herding sheep as a cover to capture Beyonder from other countries for sacrifice? This is indeed less likely to attract the attention of local officials... Aurora almost imperceptibly clicked on https://m. ht. com.
She asked earnestly, "Did Pierre mention the Honorific Name of that god?"
"Or rather, to whom was the Ritual that turned you into sheep addressed?"
The three sheep paused, as if lost in memories.
Immediately afterwards, they all lowered their heads and stretched out their hooves into the mud in front of them.
For some reason, Aurora suddenly felt that the surroundings were much colder and darker, as if the Sun in the sky was being covered by dark clouds and a cool mountain breeze was blowing.
The three sheep began to write.
Aurora's spiritual intuition gave her a strong warning, and she immediately shouted, "Wait!"
The three sheep suddenly raised their heads and looked at her.
Blood-Colored tears had been streaming from the corners of their eyes, and their faces were covered in grime, making them quite frightening.
The next second, the three sheep continued writing.
Aurora quickly turned around and ran towards the edge of the fence.
When she left the Sheep Pen and looked back, the three sheep were basking in the Sunlight streaming down from the sky.
If it weren't for the traces of Blood-Colored still remaining on their faces, everything would have been perfectly normal.
Thump, thump... Aurora's heart was still pounding.
She gasped for breath and felt relieved:
"If it weren't for the fact that I occasionally saw things I shouldn't have before mastering the Preliminary Eye-Sealing Technique, and if my intuition hadn't been tested so many times and become so strong, I really wouldn't have been able to react just now..."
She then took out the Iron-Black powder and threw it into the Sheep Pen.
The Vocabulary on the muddy ground were instantly erased by an invisible hand.
As for the stains on the sheep's face, Aurora couldn't clean them with magic and dared not get Past, so she simply washed them with water.
She worried that the three sheep were different from before and posed a hidden danger.
Old Tavern, Lumian, sipping pale green Absinthe, rested his right elbow on the bar and casually glanced around.
He neither saw That One mysterious Lady nor spotted the Three Foreigners: Ryan, Lya, and Valentine.
He didn't know when the other person would appear, so he could only try his luck. As for the latter three, he assumed they were probably strolling around the village, chatting with someone.
"Actually, I had the opportunity to get married." Pierre Berri, having finished a glass of Absinthe, picked up a new glass of pale green liquid and mumbled.
"Is that so?" Lumian scoffed. "Who would want a Shepherd?"
Pierre sighed and said, "Most of the Plains and pastures we've moved to are owned, either by some Manor or by people from nearby villages. If you want to graze livestock, you either have to pay Ranch tax or marry a girl from the village and settle down there."
"That's great news for the Shepherd," Lumian said with a smile.
Pierre took a sip of Absinthe and glanced at him sideways:
"You have to find a girl who likes you, and she can't ask for a dowry."
"That time, a girl happened to think I was pretty good. She didn't mind that I was a poor penniless Shepherd and was willing to marry me. Was she stupid?"
"Yes," Lumian nodded honestly.
Pierre, holding his pale green Absinthe, remained silent for a long while before saying, "She died later."
"She worked in Factory on the Suburbs. She was so tired that she fell ill. I went to several Church to ask Priest to pray for her and Doctor to treat her, but nothing worked."
"After that day, I understood something."
"What's the reasoning?" Lumian took a sip of Absinthe.
A flash of resentment crossed Pierre's face:
"Those people who are all flesh and blood can't save us!"
"If your body isn't made of flesh, does that mean you don't need to poop down there?" Lumian retorted.
Pierre chuckled softly twice:
"Those are Saint and Angel, but would they look at us?"
Lumian clicked his tongue:
"Then why do you still go to Church to pray to the Parish Priest?"
"Not only is he all flesh and blood, but he also poops and poops, and he likes to sleep with women."
Pierre turned his head again and glanced at Lumian:
"You don't understand, he possesses a certain intellect that can save our souls."
"Intellectual?" Lumian didn't quite understand the word.
Pierre took another sip of his pale green Absinthe, seemingly ignoring the question.
Lumian didn't dare to pry further, and instead asked, "I heard that you went to Church around 1 or 2 pm, why did you go again at 3 or 4 pm?"
Pierre smiled gently, "You can chat with someone of similar intelligence this afternoon."
He did not deny going to Church in the afternoon.
Lumian breathed a sigh of relief—at least for now, no one else seemed capable of retaining memories and interfering with the course of "history."
He suspected that Pierre Berri went to Church in the afternoon to communicate with the Parish Priest beforehand, and that the small group discussion was only at three or four in the afternoon.
After drinking, seeing that it was time for dinner, Lumian and Pierre Berri parted ways and returned home.
As he walked down a secluded path, the Parish Priest's brother Pons Béné, suddenly appeared from a side road with several Thug and blocked his way.
The muscular, dark-haired, blue-eyed Pons Béné stared at Lumian and grinned menacingly, "You're quite the prankster this afternoon, aren't you? You're determined to waste our time at the Church."
"If the Parish Priest hadn't been there, I would have punched you right then and there!"
"You little bastard, come and eat your daddy Pons's cock."
Lumian was stunned for a second by the guy's stupidity, then overjoyed.
His and Aurora's judgment was correct. In the previous Loop, before Naroka's funeral, Pons Béné should not have gained supernatural powers yet and be able to sense danger!
He actually dares to come and ambush an Beyonder!
Without hesitation, Lumian turned around and started running.
Pons and his Thug followed closely behind.
But as soon as they rushed out of the narrow alley between the two buildings, they lost track of their target.
Pons Béné glanced around and gave orders to his Subordinate:
"Look around."
He didn't think Lumian could have run that fast; he was probably hiding nearby.
The Thug immediately scattered, searching for nearby hiding places, leaving only Pons Béné standing at the entrance of the alley.
Upon seeing this, Lumian, who had climbed to the second floor of the adjacent house, let out a "hey" and jumped directly towards Pons.
Bang!
Pons was knocked to the ground by the immense force, his blood churning, his vision blurring, and he temporarily lost his ability to fight.
If Lumian hadn't restrained himself and not hit him directly, he might have broken a few more bones.
Lumian stood up, bent down and grabbed Pons's forearms, smiling at him, "Come on, let's get closer."
Before Pons could resist, he pulled him into his arms and slammed his knee into Past.
With a soft "plop, "Pons ' eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, his face contorted in extreme Pain.
Thump!
Lumian let go, letting the guy fall to the ground and curl up like a shrimp.
He then turned and ran into the alley before the Thug could return, disappearing at the end of the path.
The kitchen serves as both the living room and Restaurant.
Lumian informed his Older Sister about the situation on his side:
"Pierre Berri went to Church again this afternoon... It can be confirmed that Pons Béné does not yet possess Extraordinary Ability."
Aurora nodded slightly and began to recount her experiences, especially the unknown and inexplicable danger she encountered at the end.
Lumian for a moment and said, "That One mysterious Lady said that some beings, simply knowing of their existence, can Corruption you."
