A possible breakthrough
Franca, caught up in Lumian's words, chimed in with anticipation, "Then we've got the fox by the tail! We can summon our allies and try to take down as many of the ' April Fool's Day ' Core Member as possible!"
As she spoke, she began to grit her teeth.
Lumian and Franca made all sorts of guesses and deductions about the role and function Acting Ultraman in Last Year's prank, but none of them were particularly insightful or made them feel that they had grasped the key point.
"Phew, we're still missing some important pieces of the puzzle," Franca sighed. "See if you can catch any more fish."
She had to return to Trier.
Lumian hummed in agreement, then asked thoughtfully, "How's your search for the Descendants of the Tamara Family going?"
"Nothing much yet, but Lady ' Judgement ' plans to report this to the other Major Arcana, hoping they can also keep an eye out for it," Franca briefly explained her situation.
Lumian looked at her face and said, "I have a direction for my investigation."
"What?" Franca's spirits lifted.
Lumian's lips curled up slightly:
"Check the other members of the Witch Sect in Trier."
"Since some members of the Tamara Family have close ties with the Witch Sect, and may even have jointly formed a Concealment organization called the ' Gnosis Society,' it is entirely possible that some of them have directly joined the Witch Sect."
"Besides, wasn't the task Lady ' Judgement ' gave you to infiltrate the Witch Sect and find out the current state and problems of the ' Primordial Witch '? Why don't you investigate other Witch and gather information from them before starting? Are you going to wait until you become a powerful figure like the 'Red Witch ' before you begin? By then, where will you find so many Angel-Level ' Hunter ' Beyonder Characteristic to help you revert to your original gender?"
"Why the 'Red Witch '?" Franca's instinctive focus was on this question.
Lumian smiled:
"Have you forgotten your nickname, ' Red Boots ' Lady!"
Franca gave an awkward smile:
"Wasn't that just to create a distinctive character profile, so that it could be easily changed when they went on the run, creating a significant difference from the description on the wanted poster?"
"Ahem, isn't it too dangerous to investigate other Witch right under the nose of the ' Black Witch '?"
Lumian raised an eyebrow and smiled meaningfully, "What are you investigating about the Tamara Family?"
"Investigate the Person in the Mirror," Franca answered instinctively.
Lumian asked again:
"Who gave me the task of investigating the Person in the Mirror?"
"It's the ' Black Witch '..." Franca immediately shut her mouth.
She then muttered to herself, "However, I still need to be careful not to overdo it and make sure the source of the information is accurate; otherwise, I'll still be suspected."
Lumian didn't say anything more, grabbed Franca's shoulder, and prepared to take her back to Trier.
Franca glanced at the window with the curtains drawn and said eagerly, "Remember to ask me to handle the visit to the Combat Nuns later."
She arrived at Santa Port in the afternoon and wandered around for a long time using the pseudonym "Charnem" that she had chosen and the appearance on Lumian's fake Identity Documents. With her fluent Highland Language, she quickly figured out the local customs and the style of the Combat Nuns.
Lumian scoffed:
"Forget about it, you can't let them Pregnancy anyway."
Franca retorted, unconvinced, "Theoretically speaking, it's not impossible, but it's quite dangerous. Think about it, Madame Pualis."
Lumian was speechless.
"Besides, life isn't just about having children..." Franca continued searching for reasons.
Lumian exhaled silently, activating the Black Mark on his right shoulder.
He took Franca, who was still talking, and disappeared into the Master Bedroom of the Suite.
Not long after, Lumian returned to the spot where he had left.
He shook his head and mocked Franca before sitting back down in the chair.
It has to be said that being able to have a casual, unguarded conversation with a friend, saying whatever comes to mind and joking around as he pleases, is very helpful in relieving his Accumulation -up emotions.
Relaxing, Lumian leaned back in his chair, sorting through the information he had gathered about the Sea-Praying Ritual and the various accounts in his mind. He tried to find details that might reveal traces of Ultraman's existence and to check if he had overlooked anything.
As a "Conspirer," Lumian didn't need to list the key points on paper or rely on his eyes for clues. All the information was simultaneously distributed in his mind, forming a vast spider web that slowly rotated and Change.
After a while, he suddenly sat up straight.
He found a breakthrough that might reveal the essence of the Sea-Praying Ritual.
Lumian stood up, walked out of the Master Bedroom, and saw Ludwig eating a crispy potato and egg pancake at the dining table on one side of the living room.
He sat down opposite the little boy, smiling as he took out the compound eye of the Mutated Black Spider —a spiritual material without Beyonder Characteristic.
With a sudden movement, Ludwig raised his head and looked at Lumian.
"Can you eat this thing?" Lumian tossed his black compound eye around.
Ludwig nodded emphatically:
"Can."
Out of curiosity, Lumian took out the "Mystery-Peering Glasses" again and asked, "Can you eat this?"
"Not yet," Ludwig answered honestly.
Not now, meaning maybe in the Future? Lumian put away the "Mystery-Peering Glasses" and placed the Mutated Black Spider's compound eyes on the dining table in front of him:
"I'd like you to translate a sentence. If you can give me the correct answer, then it's your food."
"Gulp, "Ludwig swallowed, "Okay."
Lumian recalled the strange language Lato Giaro had spoken and began to babble incoherently.
He concluded, "That's about it."
Ludwig shook his head in disappointment.
"Don't know."
He paused for a moment, then added, "But it sounds familiar, like I've heard it somewhere before."
Was it during the sealing of the Mental Body that most of the memories and knowledge were sealed away? Under Ludwig's reluctant gaze, Lumian placed the compound eyes of the Mutated Black Spider back into the "Traveler’s Bag".
Ludwig stuffed a bite of potato and egg pancake into his mouth and mumbled, "If you can find a creature that understands this language for me to eat, then I can translate for you."
"This is..." Lumian asked with slight surprise, "Can eating something grant you some ability or knowledge about it?"
"It depends on how long it lasts, and also on the specific circumstances," Ludwig explained simply, without going into details.
Lumian nodded thoughtfully:
"You can tell me about the Batins Black Insect because you ate it some time ago?"
"Hmm." Ludwig nodded. "It tried to ambush me; it waited a long time."
So that's how it is. I thought you had regained some of your memories and knowledge... Sure enough, a Paralysis attack wouldn't only target Lugano, after all, it could turn into a trap at any time... Lumian stood up, left the dining table, and walked back to the Master Bedroom under Ludwig's pitiful gaze.
He had nowhere to find a creature that understood the "Language of the Sea" for Ludwig; even the Fishing Guild members couldn't be sure if their interpretations were correct.
After entering the Master Bedroom and closing the door, Lumian, thinking that asking wouldn't hurt, lowered his voice and asked, "Termiboros, do you understand that language? Do you know the true meaning of that sentence?"
The Termiboros resounded, echoing in Lumian's ears:
"It certainly doesn't mean ' to the Wedding the Sea as proof of conquest'."
After saying this, Termiboros returned to silence, showing no intention of explaining the true meaning to Lumian.
Damn, you might as well not have answered at all! You confirmed my guess, but you didn't reveal the real reason! Heh, are you just pretending to know? Lumian cursed inwardly, feeling that Termiboros, this Angel of Fate, was becoming less and less direct and straightforward than before, and didn't understand the art of speaking.
He gradually learned how to annoy people!
Lumian calmed himself down, sat back in his chair, unfolded a sheet of paper, and began writing to the "Magician" Lady.
He Recording his observations in Santa Port, seemingly as a travelogue, and concluded by writing down a passage in an unidentified language, which the Fishing Guild interpreted as meaning. "O Sea, I will marry you as a symbol of my conquest of you," before making his request.
"Lady, have you ever seen this language before? Do you know what it really means?"
After folding the letter, Lumian set up the Ritual and summoned the "Doll" Messenger.
The "Doll" Messenger, dressed in a pale Golden dress, stepped out of the candlelight, glanced around, and said menacingly, "Don't let that dirty child near me!"
"He's eating outside and won't come in without my permission." For some reason, Lumian sensed a hidden fear in the "Doll" Messenger's aggressive words.
The "Doll" Messenger nodded in satisfaction.
You need to keep it under control!
"If it misbehaves, don't feed it!"
"Use it as a substitute..." Lumian chuckled and said, "If I don't feed him, something even more terrible might happen."
The "Doll" Messenger paused for a moment before saying, "Then feed it more!"
Having said that, the Doll -like Messenger quickly retreated back into the candlelight, holding the folded letter.
Lumian finished the Ritual, extinguished the candles, looked towards the doorway of the Master Bedroom, and murmured to himself:
"It really is a dangerous creature that has been sealed away..."
He then took out the Gold-Cased Pocket Watch he had obtained from the Breeze Ballroom, snapped it open, and glanced at it.
He suddenly turned into shadow and merged into the darkness.
He has some things to do tonight.
The top floor of the Castle -like building housing the Fishing Guild in the port area.
When Lumian arrived at the Tower -like structure, he saw Lato Giaro waiting there in a formal suit.
"Are you on duty tonight?" Lumian asked casually, adjusting his golden straw hat as if chatting with a friend.
Lato, the middle-aged man, sighed and said, "It wasn't originally supposed to be, but since you're coming, then it is. We can't exactly send an old man like the chairman, can we?"
Lumian said nothing more, conjured up one after another cluster of Reddish-White Fireball that Delayed Explosion, and threw them into different corners of the Tower.
Having accomplished this, he waved to Lato Giaro and returned to the shadows.
Lato walked to the Tower entrance, clenching his fists with some fear.
Just thirty seconds Past, those Reddish-White Fireball exploded simultaneously.
Rumble!
The entire Tower was engulfed in flames, Lato at the entrance was thrown out by the Impact.
His body surface had already developed a large number of shimmering scales to reduce the damage.
Rumble!
In less than half an hour, everyone in the well-informed Santa Port knew one thing:
The Fishing Guild was bombed!
