The Divine Descent School
Under the Crimson Moonlight filtering through the curtains, Ludwig, dressed in a two-piece Pajamas set and a small jacket, spoke like an emotionless clock, recounting all the memories and knowledge he had absorbed from the half-burnt brain and internal organs of the old man in the Black Robe:
"Only his brain was his own; his name was Primpino."
"Because of his old age and Weakening health, he began to delve into the Mysticism, and unknowingly gained the attention of the ' Great Mother,' acquiring much Concealment knowledge and becoming Beyonder..."
Hearing this, Lumian muttered two words silently, half mocking and half fearful:
How could she not conceive after receiving the attention of a "Great Mother"?
Is the "Great Mother" you're following truly the one?
Ludwig continued, "It is uncertain when Primpino began losing his internal organs, and he did not acquire any related knowledge or memories."
Similarly, the time when it became a product of Human Transmutation is unknown.
His philosophy is:
Humanity was once the most beloved and proud child of the "Great Mother." All the dullness, aging, and weakness are due to being separated from the mother and Corruption by reality.
"Only by allowing the Divine Child of the ' Great Mother ' to descend to the present world can humanity be saved, enter the Otherworld, and return to its original form."
"At that time, the ' Great Mother ' will also return to the real world she Ruler."
Using the more gender-specific pronoun "she" to refer to "the Great Mother" instead of "He"... This shows that in the eyes of people like Primpino, Pregnancy and childbirth are still Women's affairs, so the mother must be "she"... This is different from the state of the Night Tour Society... Lumian looked at Ludwig and nodded approvingly.
Ludwig recounted Primpino's attempts and some of his abilities in a measured and unhurried manner:
"The birth of Divine Child requires a specific body, a body composed of the internal organs of different people..."
"This is not the entire Advent Ritual; a crucial part is missing..."
"Primpino possesses an extremely strong self-healing ability; as a product of Human Transmutation, he is immune to the influence of many Beyond Ability."
"He can control humans indirectly Corruption by the Divine Child, or Beyonder have directly contacted special Patient through specific Pathway, within a range of one hundred meters, and requires them to be in a state of unconsciousness..."
Upon hearing this, Lumian suddenly thought of Sequence 7 of the "Apothecary" Pathway: "Vampire".
These Beyonder possess powerful self-healing abilities and can also create "blood servants" that resemble Marionette of themselves!
Lumian did not interrupt Ludwig, patiently waiting for him to continue:
"He is skilled in Surgery and can directly heal others. He also possesses Ritual that allows a human to survive for a period of time even without internal organs."
"He can combine with trees and wooden objects, hide inside them, obtain a hard shell, and evade detection."
"He can catalyze the growth and reproduction of organisms, including but not limited to Rat, fleas, Bedbug, fungi, and various plants, but this requires consuming his own life force. His life force can be replenished through unsuccessful Divine Child Descent Ritual, and his internal organs need to be replaced every nine Ritual..."
"He can also Curse others, summon evil creatures, and Burning his life force to use a small amount of sorcery..."
After Ludwig finished speaking, Lumian discovered that Primpino's Beyond Ability were quite diverse. He possessed some characteristics of a "Vampire," as well as certain traits of the "earth" Pathway, such as the "Planter" and "Doctor" Sequence. He also possessed a small amount of "evil magic," and he cast spells through life force.
"It's like a combination of the three Pathway of ' Apothecary,' ' Planter,' and ' Warlock,' but not all of them... It can Gift Power like this? ' Great Mother ' is indeed the pinnacle of these three Pathway..." Lumian pondered for a while, then took Ludwig's hand and walked out of the Suite.
He said to Lugano, who was standing at the door, "Go and call the priest from the chapel here. Tell him all the details you know."
After giving the instructions, Lumian hesitated for a moment and then added, "Find the captain first, then the priest."
"Okay." Lugano agreed instinctively at first, then tentatively asked, "And what about you?"
"Of course I'm going back to sleep. If they want to visit me, they can wait until tomorrow morning." Lumian waved his hand and led Ludwig down the dimly lit corridor towards his Suite.
"Am I the only one in charge?" Lugano couldn't help but mutter to himself.
He suddenly realized that he was the only one left at the door of the Suite where some of his internal organs were still scattered. He shivered and quickly walked towards the Captain's Cabin.
Ten minutes later, inside the Black Robe man's Suite.
That One priest named Montserrat and Captain Pedro surveyed the scene while listening to Lugano recount his ordeal in detail.
Lugano nervously told the two that he was Beyonder, a "Doctor" of the "Planter" Pathway. Because he had shown exceptional ability to treat people, Ennio came to visit him. Later that Late Night, while he was sleeping, he suddenly sleepwalked and came here. He was almost had his internal organs removed, but fortunately, he was rescued by his employer.
Throughout the entire process, Lugano only omitted the part about Ludwig drinking blood; he told everything else he knew.
Captain Pedro, sporting a handsome brown beard, muttered half-jokingly, "Could it be that your employer killed the passenger in this Suite, deliberately scattered his entrails everywhere, and then made up this story of an Evil Warlock to fool us?"
Uh... Lugano was speechless for a moment.
This possibility cannot be ruled out!
Father Montserrat, with clean features and wearing a brown Priest's robe, shook his head:
"We'll know whether this story is true or false once we check Ennio's physical condition."
"I know." Captain Pedro stroked his beard and looked at Lugano. "What's your employer's name?"
"Louis Berri," Lugano answered truthfully.
"Louis Berri..." Pedro's eyes narrowed. "Louis Berri, the Great Adventurer who Hunting the ' Devil Warlock '?"
Montserrat's eyes widened slightly as well:
"Louis Berri, the Great Adventurer who secretly prevented evil forces from disrupting the Sea-Praying Ritual in cooperation with the Church in Santa Port?"
"Wow... the Boss's reputation is that great?" The Church of the Earth Mother has informed all the Clergy that Louis Berri is a friend and collaborator? Hmm, this ship departed from Santa Port, so the priests on board must have been among the first to be notified... Lugano had thought about it, but he never expected his employer's name to be so effective.
Without hesitation, he answered, "It is him, the Great Adventurer Louis Berri."
As soon as Lugano finished speaking, the entire ship was suddenly thrown into the air, landing on top of a giant wave tens of meters high.
There are currently no dark clouds or Torrential Rain, nor are there Gale or Lightning.
After leaping a few times among the dark, giant waves, the Steam gently floated back to the surface of the sea, and everything around it returned to calm.
Captain Pedro glanced at the messy Suite and the water-soaked windows, and asked Lugano in a deep voice:
"Is this the power of your employer?"
"I heard there's a wave magic show being performed at the Bar tonight, are those real waves?"
"Yes." Although Lugano himself didn't know what had happened, he still attributed the scene of natural power to his employer.
He then added, "He's greeting you."
Captain Pedro and Father Montserrat fell silent.
After a dozen seconds, Pedro asked Father Montserrat, who looked to be under thirty:
Does the Church have any information about this Surgery and Ritual?
Montserrat glanced at Lugano but did not ask him to leave.
The priest hesitated for a moment, then said in a low voice, "There is a group of misguided believers in the Mother Goddess faith who believe that the depravity of the world and the degradation of humanity are the tragic consequences of being separated from the Mother Goddess."
"They attempted to bring the so-called Divine Child into the real world by any means possible, and to summon the mother's return through the return of the Divine Child."
We call them the ' Divine Descent School '.
Lugano raised a question, somewhat unconvinced:
"Can Divine Child descend using only the internal organs of Ordinary Person?"
He was unclear about the specifics of the Surgery and Ritual, but he could roughly guess that the key material would be internal organs.
Montserrat gazed at the remaining human organs in the Suite and said in a heavy tone, "The Divine Child is the mother's child, and so are humans."
Does this mean that, in essence, neither is superior or inferior, so they can be used as materials, and quantity can compensate for deficiencies? Lugano probably understood the true meaning of the priest's words.
Many Ritual involving blood sacrifices can actually be explained using this theory.
Father Montserrat said nothing more, then turned to Lugano and said, "Tell your employer that we will handle the rest, so he doesn't need to worry."
"Okay." Lugano breathed a sigh of relief.
The following morning, Lumian woke up on time and found that he no longer possessed the "power of the Sea" and therefore could not obtain the authority of the "Governor of the Sea".
He took a regretful sip of light beer and began writing to the "Magician" Lady, recounting the problems of the Divine Descent School and the so-called birth of Divine Child in the Spirit World.
Not long after, the "Doll" Messenger brought a reply:
"When it comes to the ' Divine Descent School,' I can't even tell if it's your problem or Lugano's problem."
"The so-called birth of the Divine Child in the Spirit World is just propaganda, understand? Just like the Holy Scripture of the ' The Fool ' Church, listen to them and don't take them too seriously."
"Of course, similar things do exist, and they are brewing and developing. This is actually related to you to some extent, because the Primordial One Source is that empty cradle in the Cordou Village, the child that Madame Pualis 'lost'."
"Furthermore, based on feedback from various sources, we can conclude that That One ' Night Lady ' did not die in Trier during the Fourth Epoch Trier, and may even have encountered or obtained something that allowed the matter of the Divine Child to develop further."
"Besides her, Vazan Sanson of the ' Sinners ' organization also fled Trier in the Fourth Epoch, for reasons and for unknown reasons..."
Vazan Sanson is still alive? Lumian paused for a moment when he read the middle of the letter, then smiled.
Just then, there was a loud knocking on his bedroom door.
"Who is it?" Lumian knew it was Lugano outside, but he still asked casually.
Lugano, speaking through the Wooden Door, replied in a trembling voice, "I..."
I heard a baby crying again!
