Useful armor
Lumian glanced at Lugano with a smile, then turned his attention to the "Pride Armor," observing its next reaction.
"What kind of experiment? To test the effectiveness of this armor?" Lugano asked, both nervous and puzzled.
As soon as he finished speaking, the air on the dark deck, where visibility was limited only by the Crimson Moonlight, suddenly froze.
The next second, Lugano saw the Full-Body Armor, which no one was wearing at all, spontaneously condense into a Giant Sword of Light, and an invisible gaze locked onto him.
Before Lugano could react, the Silver-White Full-Body Armor strode forward, charging towards him with its Giant Sword of Light poised to strike.
Lumian flashed forward, blocking Lugano's path. His body suddenly swelled, stretching his Linen Shirt and black trousers so much they seemed about to burst.
Bang!
The much larger Lumian threw a punch, striking the side of the "Dawn Sword" and creating a metallic clang.
Lugano finally came to his senses. Although he didn't know why such an unarmored Full-Body Armor was attacking him, he instinctively turned around and ran away.
After running a distance, "Pride Armor" stopped and stood quietly.
The "Dawn Sword," formed from concentrated light, then disintegrated, transforming into shimmering rays that scattered the Crimson Moonlight, bringing a sense of approaching dawn to the dark deck.
That feeling vanished in the blink of an eye.
Lumian dared not turn his back to the "Pride Armor," so he turned halfway to estimate the distance between the "Pride Armor" and Lugano.
"Nearly twenty meters... Considering Lugano's running speed, the sensing range is about fifteen meters..." Lumian quickly concluded, his body returned to normal, and a smile reappeared on his face.
That's enough; a 15-meter sensing range is sufficient on the ship!
He sheathed his "Pride Armor" and said to Lugano, who was still running towards the bow of the ship, "The experiment is over."
Huh? Lugano stopped, turned his head, and saw that his employer had put the strange Silver-White Full-Body Armor back into the Mystical Item disguised as Coin Pouch.
He breathed a sigh of relief, ran back, and asked curiously, "Was the experiment a success?"
"Very successful," Lumian.
Lugano didn't understand the significance of such an experiment, but he vaguely guessed that the employer might be trying to find a way to locate Father Montserrat.
Back in his First Class Suite, Lumian immediately instructed Lugano:
"Go find the captain and have him gather all the 'Earth' Pathway Beyonder on board, and also the ' Apothecary ' Pathway Beyonder, here. I'll go back after I capture Father Montserrat of the Book. It's okay if they don't come; they can take the risk themselves."
Lumian wasn't sure if Captain Pedro knew every unstable element on board or every Beyonder, so he decided to keep a closer eye on things to prevent the "Pride Armor" from eliminating any hidden Wild Beyonder. Letting Pedro go through this process first would effectively lighten his burden.
After watching Lugano leave the Suite, Lumian said to Ludwig, who was eating his late-night snack again, "Keep an eye out for any 'food' sneaking into our place later."
With his mouth full of cake, Ludwig made a "no problem" gesture.
While waiting for the captain to arrive, Lumian, carrying the "Pride Armor," searched the entire top deck of the Cabin but found no trace of Father Montserrat.
Shortly after, Pedro, accompanied by a man who appeared to be the head of security and a passenger with his hat pulled low, entered Lumian's Suite.
Lumian offered no explanation, but pointed to the sofa area:
"You wait for me here."
After saying that, without waiting for the three to respond, he adjusted his Golden-yellow Straw Hat, turned around, and walked out of the room.
Upon entering the stairwell, Lumian drew his Silver-White Full-Body Armor, cradled the Sealed Artifact under his armpits, and slowly began to "patrol" each Cabin.
He was always extra careful whenever he was less than fifteen meters away from his Suite, but the "Pride Armor" never suddenly attacked anyone.
"Even at a distance of more than five meters and with multiple layers of obstacles, this armor still won't have any additional reaction?" Lumian speculated as he descended layer by layer.
Nearly 15 minutes Past, he entered the lowest cargo hold.
Before he could get around a few piles of Wooden Box, the "Pride Armor" in Lumian's hands suddenly trembled slightly and broke free from his control.
The Silver-White Full-Body Armor coalesced into Giant Sword of Light, and with two strides, it cleaved towards the Wooden Box in the corner.
With a clang, the Wooden Box split open, and several steel ingots slid out.
At the same time, Montserrat's clean, young face protruded from the surface of the Wooden Box, and his body appeared afterward.
Faced with the Giant Sword of Light raised once again by the Silver-White armor, the priest's already robust body became even more massive and imposing, as if he had transformed into a giant brown bear.
Bang! He slammed his palm down, sending the "Dawn Sword" flying off course and landing on Wooden Box goods behind him.
This strength is no less than that of a real giant bear!
Just as Father Montserrat was bracing against the "Pride Armor" attack, Lumian's figure, dressed in Linen Shirt, Black Waistcoat, and Golden-yellow Straw Hat, quickly appeared beside a pile of Wooden Box to his side and rear.
"Snort!"
Two beams of white light shot out from Lumian's nose, striking Father Montserrat before he could even turn around.
Father Montserrat's gaze instantly lost focus, and he Past, collapsing to the ground.
Along with this Change, the vitality within him suddenly became vigorous, like Steam starting to run at full speed.
This vigorous vitality transformed into an extremely strong self-healing ability, rapidly repairing Father Montserrat's spirit.
The essence of "Heng-Ha Art" is quite similar to "Mental Piercing," both targeting Spirit Body and being difficult to defend against. However, the latter mainly brings uncontrollable pain, trapping the target and making it impossible to extricate themselves, while "Heng-Ha Art" inflicts a state similar to sleep or coma on the Spirit Body, which can also be considered a form of damage to the Spirit Body.
Since it's an injury, it can be healed.
Thanks to his self-healing ability derived from his vigorous life force, Father Montserrat's eyeballs began to move slightly beneath his closed eyelids.
He was about to wake up before he had completely collapsed!
But for Lumian, the "Heng-Ha Art" was enough to control his opponent for just one second.
Considering that Father Montserrat might also be a product of Human Transmutation, and some of his abilities might not be effective, Lumian lunged at him, extending his right hand.
In his loosely clenched palm, layers of Reddish White Flames Entanglement and compressed, transforming into a rather solid-looking Orb.
On the other side, "Pride Armor" once again raised "Dawn Sword".
As soon as Father Montserrat opened his eyes and instinctively tried to maintain his balance, he caught a glimpse of Louis Berri green Eyes, a dangerous Reddish White Fireball, and Giant Sword of Light hurtling toward his head.
He only had time to fall to the side to avoid the "Dawn Sword" before Lumian slammed the Reddish White Fireball into his body.
Boom!
With a deafening explosion, Father Montserrat was thrown into the air.
A large area from his right shoulder to his abdomen was torn apart, with broken bones revealing his still-wriggling internal organs.
His right arm wobbled, about to detach from his body.
Father Montserrat's vigorous life force did not disappear; at the site of the huge wound, the flesh writhed and began to heal on its own.
Thump!
Father Montserrat crashed to the floor, greeted by the heavy thud of the "Pride Armor" and the Giant Sword of Light aimed at him.
He pointed, and the blood and flesh that had been separated from the body by the explosion suddenly came to life and rapidly Aggregation, stretching into a blurry, thin, Blood-Colored figure.
The Blood-Colored figure pounced on the surface of the Silver-White Full-Body Armor, enveloping it and continuously seeping inside.
As Dawn broke and the cargo hold was filled with light, the Blood-Colored figure began to dissolve and fade.
The light of Dawn was so gentle that it didn't sting Father Montserrat's eyes, and so his pupils reflected Crow of Flames Reddish White.
A dozen or so Fire Raven circled around Lumian, who had one hand in his pocket, and flew Past, tracing different paths as if they were staring at Father Montserrat.
They aim to completely tear apart the target's body, igniting every piece of flesh, so that even with powerful self-healing abilities, the target cannot recover.
When each piece of your flesh is more than 20 or 30 centimeters apart, it is very difficult for them to "climb" together and recombine through their own healing abilities!
This isn't some Flesh Magic!
Father Montserrat's pupils dilated, and his mouth instinctively opened, emitting a Evil yet approachable sound.
With that sound, a deep darkness descended, and Weeds laden with grains grew rampant, swallowing up all the Dawn that filled the warehouse.
Some of the dozen or so Reddish White Fire Raven lost their way in the darkness, unable to cross the "far" distance, and gradually dissipated, while others landed successfully on Father Montserrat.
Amidst the continuous rumbling explosions, Father Montserrat's figure suddenly became transparent, and a huge, illusory Oak Tree sprouted from the spot where he stood.
The Oak Tree was unaffected by the explosion and Flames, and Father Montserrat, still covered in blood and gore, appeared on a branch covered with Mistletoe, his arms bent as if embracing an invisible baby.
He looked at Lumian and gave him a genuine smile.
So you're not Half-God after all...
"Wow!"
Lumian heard that illusory, Cavern baby crying for the first time.
"Wow wow wow!"
Amidst the continuous crying, Lumian felt her life force draining away, her body gradually weakening, and even her mind beginning to wander.
The life force that seemed to be flowing into the invisible infant in Father Montserrat's arms, becoming its nourishment.
