The art of "sealing"
Seeing that his worries had been confirmed, Lumian took out his Key and opened the Suite door almost silently.
Now he could confirm that Ludwig, this sealed-away Monster, would fully unleash his appetite and urges during the "Dream Festival"!
Bathed in the Crimson Moonlight streaming through the living room window, Lugano was frantically moving his arms backward, his face Distortion in extreme Pain.
At the end of his arm was Ludwig, wearing a child's Nightcap and a sky-blue Pajamas with yellow Stars, from which the sounds of cracking and chewing meat emanated incessantly.
So, amidst the other sounds that were thus concealed, drops of blood fell onto the floor.
Suddenly, Ludwig leaped upwards like a frog, his mouth almost reaching Lugano's armpit, and the snapping sound briefly became unusually loud.
"Ah!"
Lugano screamed again, the sound almost lifting the roof off.
As he instinctively tried to pull back the arm that Ludwig had bitten and push him away with his other hand, his eyes rolled back, and he was about to Past from the unbearable pain.
Lumian glanced at him, then ran up behind Ludwig and snorted.
Two beams of white light shot out from his nose and landed on Ludwig. Ludwig paused and closed his eyes.
But just before Lumian could make a follow-up move, the little boy's mouth started moving again, continuing to gnaw at Lugano's arm, breaking bones and tearing flesh apart.
His eyes then opened.
The "Heng-Ha Art" could only make Ludwig momentarily dazed, and that was only under the premise that he was sealed... Lumian secretly took a breath and did not make any more blind attempts.
He looked at Lugano, who had noticed him but was in too much pain to speak, raised his right hand, and pressed it down, signaling the other to be patient.
Lugano was suddenly filled with profanity and emotions, but he couldn't vent them.
In a flash, Lumian nodded almost imperceptibly.
He changed his target, walked past Ludwig who was engrossed in eating Lugano, and grabbed Lugano's shoulder.
Immediately afterwards, Lumian took out a sharp Straight Sword he had bought in Santa Port from the "Traveler’s Bag".
What was he trying to do? In the midst of the excruciating pain, a thought just formed in Lugano's mind, only to be quickly dispelled.
Lumian swung his Straight Sword, and the blade burst into a Blazing White Flames.
The Straight Sword struck Lugano's arm, which Ludwig was devouring, with a heavy blow at the crook of his arm.
With a soft "plop," the remaining short section of Lugano's, remaining outside Ludwig's mouth, as if a bloody, thick, short tail had grown out of the boy's head.
At the same time, Lumian's figure began to fade, and Lugano, whom he had grabbed, also disappeared from the spot.
"Teleportation!"
But Lumian didn't "Teleportation" very far; his and Lugano's figures were outlined at the entrance of the Suite.
The pain was just as intense, but slightly lessened compared to before. Once again, Lugano saw Ludwig's image in his eyes, the face of the little boy who was biting his own mutilated forearm, surrounded by blood and grime.
He was so frightened that he forgot the pain; only a few similar thoughts echoed in his mind:
Why not "Teleportation" out of Tizamo Town?
Why not "Teleportation" to Port Pylos?
Why bother lingering in front of Ludwig?
Ludwig had turned his face away at some point and was looking towards the doorway. His short, yellow hair was stained with blood, and his brown Eyes held an undisguised hunger and craving for food.
He took strides like a seven or eight-year-old and ran towards Lumian and Lugano at a pace similar to that of a seven or eight-year-old.
During this process, he chewed and swallowed the short piece of Lugano's remaining forearm without stopping.
Lumian calmly placed the Straight Sword back into the "Traveler’s Bag."
To Lugano's horror, he pulled out a whole almond pistachio cream mille-feuille cake and threw it onto the floor next to Ludwig.
Ludwig slowed his running pace, seemingly hesitating about which to eat first.
In the end, he looked at Lugano.
The blood, flesh, and marrow, brimming with spiritual energy, captivated him even more!
During Ludwig's brief hesitation, Lumian's right hand once again reached into the "Traveler’s Bag," and with the book, dragged out one of Hisoka's body parts and tossed it to the other side.
Ludwig's gaze followed, and he couldn't help but lick his lips, but he didn't change direction.
He seemed to think it was too dirty and not his first choice.
Lumian tossed out several spiritually rich ingredients one by one: cream tarts, cream fruit tarts, cream fillings, Queen pastries, liqueur-filled chocolates, cookies, Lightning fruit, éclairs, Charlotte cakes, and other foods.
These things piled up around Ludwig, "seriously" hindering his attempt to reach Lugano.
"What are you standing there for? Stop the bleeding first!" Lumian glanced at the dazed Lugano and ordered in a deep voice.
Lugano shuddered and instinctively made his left palm glow faintly as he pressed it against the severed part of his right arm.
Ludwig ate the food Lumian threw to him as he walked, still concerned about Lugano, but no longer in such a hurry.
In the end, Lumian threw out box after box of cookies, candy, and beef jerky, letting them surround Ludwig and form a messy, low "wall."
He had prepared seven days' worth of rations for Ludwig in the "Traveler’s Bag," and now he threw almost all of it out.
"What are you doing?" Lugano, who had just finished treating Lumian, finally stopped the bleeding and allowed the wound to heal. The pain was lessening. He looked at Lumian's actions with confusion, not understanding why his employer was still so insistent on feeding Ludwig at a time like this.
"Seal that guy away," Lumian, his hands never stopping.
"A seal?" Lugano almost doubted his own hearing.
This is so absurd and ridiculous!
Is it possible to seal Monster with food?
Not only have I never seen or heard of anything like this before, but even in popular novels, no writer would dare to imagine something like this!
Shouldn't a normal sealing process involve using spiritually rich materials to depict Mysticism symbols and patterns, and then employing Ritual Magic or some Mystical Item to complete the process?
What kind of thing is it to throw food to Monster?
Lumian smiled and sighed:
"Once he's full, he won't want to eat you, nor will he want to eat anyone else here."
"And there's enough food for him to eat until dawn, until tomorrow and the day after."
The reason Lumian thought of doing this was that he had just discovered that Ludwig only wanted to eat, and combined with the characteristics that "Dream Festival" was currently exhibiting, he was almost certain that Ludwig was now very pure, so pure that he only had a desire for food, which was a special trait that no one else in Tizamo Town possessed.
Since that's the case, as long as Ludwig's appetite can be satisfied, he can stay in the Suite and eat and eat until the "Dream Festival" ends, without posing any danger to others throughout the process.
What's the difference between this and sealing him away here?
Of course, this is on the premise that the "Dream Festival" does not last until Ludwig has finished eating the food allotted for seven days.
Otherwise, Lumian's Hunting speed in the jungle might not be able to keep up with his appetite.
After listening, Lugano suddenly understood.
This was indeed a good way to temporarily restrain Ludwig.
Who says this can't be called a seal?
If you know your target well enough, and are clear about their likes and dislikes, you can sometimes achieve a "seal" even without using Mysticism methods!
Seeing that Ludwig was eating while trying to walk towards the door, clearly reluctant to leave Lugano, Lumian grabbed his personal Doctor's shoulder and "Teleportation" directly to the corner of the stairs on the second floor of the Police Headquarters.
Ludwig glanced at the empty doorway, then looked away and began his battle with the room full of food.
"Are you sure everything's okay?" Lugano asked, still a little uneasy, as soon as he emerged from the Spirit World.
Lumian smiled:
He wouldn't leave his food unless an Beyonder happened to pass by the door.
Lugano sighed, looking at his half-severed right arm, and thought sadly, "At least I'm alive. Being alive is enough..."
"I'll see if I can save up enough money to get a mechanical arm from the Steam Church; that might actually improve my combat abilities."
The loss of a limb is not something that a "Doctor" can fix, since you can't transplant someone else's arm.
Camus and Riya, both inside the stairwell, looked at Lugano's half-bloodied arm.
They couldn't help but frown, recalling the bigger trouble Louis Berri had mentioned earlier.
"What's wrong?" Camus asked.
Lumian smiled:
"That was caused by a huge problem, but I've temporarily sealed it away. Um, whatever you do, don't go to the Briu Inn, and definitely don't pass by the Suite on the second floor."
Hearing that the big trouble had been temporarily sealed away by Louis Berri, Camus quietly breathed a sigh of relief and said to Lugano, "Thank goodness it was just a dream; everything will be alright when I wake up."
"A dream?" Lugano looked bewildered.
Lumian didn't explain, but simply reminded him, "It is indeed a dream, but if you die in a dream, you will die in reality too."
While Lugano was still in a state of surprise and uncertainty, Lumian turned to Camus and Riya and said, "We're going to that house in Tevanaco now."
His main purpose in investigating the "Dream Festival" was to find the gold belonging to "Hisoka" and something that the other party had obtained from the Devil of the Norse Family. Naturally, he wanted to see if the corresponding locations had Change after the "Dream Festival" officially began, and what Change had occurred.
If he finds nothing, Lumian's next destination is the Saint Sien Church, to find That One Priest Kali.
This is because the Priest exhibits a strange state in reality where his "weakness Depths within his Spirit Body," a state that no one else in Tizamo Town possesses. This indicates that the Priest is definitely special, and it was just now the Priest who announced the start of the "Dream Festival"!
Camus hesitated to answer, seemingly preoccupied with other urgent matters.
At this moment, Riya looked at Lumian, pointed at Lugano with a puzzled expression, and asked, "Why is he also conscious?"
