The leader
Not long after, the "Purifier" team from the Saint Viève Church arrived at Moran Avignon's Study carrying a nearly sealed Wooden Box.
Each of them wore a waxed white robe with gold trim, thin rubber Gloves, and a leather hood. The masks on their faces were shaped like bird beaks, curving downwards in front of their mouths and noses.
After Angoulême signaled the other "Purifier" to leave the floor and clear the adjacent floors of people, he also put on a bird-beak mask, changed into similar clothing, and then Bandage his wrists and ankles.
Through the red glass lens of the bird-beak mask, Angoulême saw several colleagues open the Wooden Box.
The interior of the Wooden Box is inlaid with Mirror of just the right size, reflecting the contents from all angles.
Bread is a half-person-high milky-white Stone Statues depicting a beautiful Women with her upper body bare and her dress pulled down to her waist.
The Women Statues had one arm broken off, with one hand hanging down, covering her navel. Her figure was alluring, and her features were exquisite. Angoulême felt a sudden surge of heat, and an impulse welled up in his mind to kiss "her" and have a relationship beyond friendship with this Stone Statues.
He didn't dare to take a deep breath and could only force himself to control himself.
He knew that this was a Class 1 Sealed Artifact belonging to the Trier Diocese, numbered "82," and named "Statue of Ulamoth."
This "Level 1" Sealed Artifact can gradually make surrounding creatures obsessed with it, attempting to possess it, and slowly spreading all sorts of diseases, some common in reality, and others belonging to the realm of Mysticism.
If no one stops it, the area around it will become Hell of Pain, filled with creatures wailing, groaning, and dying in all sorts of horrific ways. The Plague will not stop; it will spread further and further, creating an even greater Calamity.
Angoulême applied for "1-82" because it can help other creatures enter the Mirror World, and as long as the time is strictly controlled, diseases and obsessions will not spread.
Two members of the "Purifier" carefully and tenderly lifted the "Statue of Ulamoth" and walked to the Full-Length Mirror in the Study.
Angoulême and two other teammates moved Past and each put their hands on "1-82's" shoulders.
They walked forward in unison, and miraculously passed through the glass mirror, disappearing into Moran Avignon's Study.
As soon as Angoulême saw the Gloom, blurry, almost illusory space behind the mirror, he felt a tickle in his throat, as if he wanted to cough.
"Sigh..." he sighed softly.
The disease spread by the "Statue of Ulamoth" was indeed beyond what their attire could protect them from...
Their sole purpose in dressing like this is to delay the actual rate at which they contract the disease!
In a state of gradual weakening yet inexplicable excitement, Angoulême and his teammates began examining the Mirror-Behind Region, and soon they discovered several dull Mirror Fragments.
"A battle took place here. Moran Avignon was forced to use the ' Mirror Substitute ' multiple times, but no blood, bodily fluids, hair, or anything like that were found," one of the "Purifier" stated simply, presenting his conclusion.
A battle had taken place? Someone was lying in ambush behind the Mirror. Angoulême Avignon suddenly had a thought and a corresponding guess.
Sure, "Sleeve Sword"!
"It seems Moran Avignon didn't escape immediately; several of his ' Mirror Substitute ' were shattered, which means the probability of him being captured is very high." Angoulême first analyzed seriously, then began to mislead, "Hmm, I understand. The Aurora Order ' never expected the assassination to succeed from the start. The assassins had only one goal: to force Moran Avignon into this Mirror, and the rest of the ' Aurora Order ' were already lying in ambush here!"
The other "Purifier" all agreed with this conjecture, nodding in unison, "It's definitely the ' Aurora Order '."
"In order to deal with Moran Avignon, they actually used a powerful item that could utilize the Mirror World."
"The ' Aurora Order ' didn't leave behind any bloody or disgusting scenes because they wanted to capture Moran Avignon alive and extract some important information?"
"Over the past five or six years, the ' Aurora Order ' has become increasingly sophisticated..."
After a brief discussion, one of the "Purifier" glanced back at the "Statue of Ulamoth" placed at the entrance, swallowed hard, and said, "Let's get out of here quickly and put '1-82' back in the mirror box. I can't wait any longer."
Angoulême agreed.
Once back in the real world, after resealing "1-82" and shedding his cumbersome attire, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, feeling utterly exhausted, both physically and mentally.
Inside the Quarry Cavern with a fixed entrance and exit to the Mirror World.
Under the glow of the Carbide Lamp and the watchful Eye of Calamity," Moran Avignon answered Lumian's question with a smile:
"Also through Mirror."
As he spoke, he pulled a Vanity Mirror from Hidden Pocket in his clothes and explained with great enthusiasm, "In the Mirror World, every Mirror is unique, with its own corresponding coordinates. I gave him the coordinates of my Mirror, and he also let me know the coordinates of a certain Mirror in his world. With this premise, I can use my own special qualities to directly transmit information to his Mirror through the ' Mirror World,' and it has remained there for a period of time. Similarly, he contacted me in the same way, but relying on the extraordinary item I gave him."
"IP address, right..." Franca mumbled in a language that no one present could understand.
Lumian laughed and asked gently, "Could you tell us the coordinates of the ' Supervisor's ' Mirror?"
Moran Avignon shook his head:
"This is something that cannot be described in words or written down. Only those of us who come from the Mirror World can sense it, or perhaps the ' Witch ' have gained Divinity and become ' Witch of Despair '."
Sequence 4 is "Witch of Despair"? And Sequence 5 is "Witch of Pain"... Neither of these Sequence sounds good, and they seem uncomfortable to Acting. But the later "Witch of Unaging" is fantastic... Franca extracts the information about the "Witch" Pathway revealed in Moran Avigni's words.
"Why was that ' Supervisor ' able to sense it?" Jenna pressed.
Moran Avignon laughed:
"He can't sense it either, but his extraordinary item can Recording and use it."
"Is this item alright?" Franca smiled and raised her sleeve, revealing a "Mirror Buckle" that looked like it was made of glass.
Moran Avignon was initially startled, but then a relieved expression appeared on his face:
"You're the ones who killed Yebus."
"It was the ' Supervisor ' who killed him," Lumian explained very sincerely. "We didn't intend to kill him, and even wanted to become friends with him, but that ' Supervisor ' killed him from a great distance using mysterious powers. I'm very worried that you might encounter something like that."
Moran Avignon paused for a few seconds before saying, "It can Recording."
He was referring to the fact that the "Mirror Buckle" could Recording the coordinates of the "Supervisor's " Mirror.
"I told you it was possible." Franca wasn't surprised at all.
When she used the "Mirror Buckle" just now, she found that several Mirror in the Mirror World " gave her a very clear feeling and she could accurately locate them. There was the entrance and exit of the Mirror World here, the Full-Length Mirror in Moran Avignon's Study, and several other Mirror whose whereabouts were unknown.
Based on this, Franca suspected that the "Mirror Buckle" would naturally Recording the corresponding coordinates every time it passed a Mirror.
Moran Avignon then said, "It's unlikely you can find the ' Supervisor ' directly through that Mirror. I've always suspected that the Mirror is actually on one of the ' Supervisor's' Subordinate. Of course, that Subordinate must be very close to the ' Supervisor,' otherwise it would delay the transmission of information."
Like many members of the "Curly-Haired Baboon Research Society," the contact addresses left for Lady. Hella's Messenger were all isolated from their own real lives... Lumian nodded slightly and said, "It's alright, we can visit them one by one, as long as they are really nearby."
"Can you give us those coordinates?"
Moran Avignon fell silent, the effects of hypnosis and Truth Serum clashing fiercely with his inner convictions.
This is the self-principles and corresponding limitations of a "Disciplinary Paladin".
Lumian, observing the Change in his Fate Branch, smiled and said, "You can think about it a little longer. Let's talk about something else first."
He saw Moran Avignon spiraling out of Loss of Control, so he decided to ask for more information. If the other party still refused to reveal anything, he would kill the Spiritism!
"Okay." Moran Avignon let out a long breath.
Lumian asked cautiously, "What kinds of deals did That One ' Supervisor ' make with you?"
Moran Avignon answered quite easily:
"It mainly involved providing certain assistance to certain individuals. Similarly, I also received some assistance through That One ' Supervisor,' which enhanced our political standing and provided us with more resources."
"This is something politicians do all the time, but with That One ' Supervisor,' it becomes more covert, less noticeable, and more effective."
"Another tactic is to protect certain individuals, or indirectly provide benefits to certain people outside of high society, in order to fulfill the demands of That One ' Supervisor ' through Dark Box Transaction on the other side."
Lumian for a moment and asked, "Didn't That One ' Supervisor ' communicate with your ' Person in the Mirror ' leader?"
He wasn't sure if the "Person in the Mirror" had a real leader; he said this to trick Moran Avignon, implying that he and his group already possessed crucial intelligence.
If the "Person in the Mirror" truly has no leader in any real sense, then Moran Avignon's ability to see through the illusion, coupled with the presence of Truth Serum and hypnosis, would not affect his subsequent answers to questions.
Moran Avignon's expression changed slightly as he said, "He did indeed communicate with our leader."
"How did they communicate?" Lumian asked calmly.
"Through the Ritual I gave, I wasn't there, so I don't know what was specifically discussed," Moran Avignon said honestly.
"That One your leader in the real world, or in the Mirror World of Fourth Epoch Trier?" Franca asked curiously.
"In Fourth Epoch Trier," Moran Avignon sighed, "the Divinity powerful ' Person in the Mirror ' could not escape through the leak point via some Calamity event."
Franca thought for a moment and asked, "Does That One leader have a corresponding real-world self?"
"Yes," Moran Avignon smiled, "You'll never guess who it is."
