A different approach
The silver-black Dagger landed on the ground and bounced a few times.
Lumian breathed a sigh of relief and muttered to himself, "Without the protection of the partially activated Black Thorn Symbol, this thing is a bomb..."
Fortunately, he already knew how to avoid the Negative Effect of this Evil Dagger.
Walking among the patches of Gray-White flesh, Lumian lifted the black Robe that the "Blacksmith" Monster had left behind.
He ripped off several strips of cloth with a few ripping sounds and Entanglement his right hand, as if he were performing a complete bandage.
Then, Lumian used this hand to grab the "Fate-Hunting Knife".
The silver-black Dagger showed no unusual reaction throughout the entire process.
Lumian was ready to drop what he was holding at any moment, felt relieved and muttered to himself, "I need to get it a scabbard so I can carry it around."
"Does this mean I'll have to keep my left or right hand wrapped in bandages all the time from now on, so that in an emergency, when I need to draw my knife, I won't have time to protect myself?"
"This thing is dangerous, but it's also incredibly powerful. Aside from its short lifespan, it completely overwhelms those Beyonder weapon that Aurora mentioned. Hmm, many level 3 Sealed Artifact might not even be as good as it."
As Lumian muttered to himself, he used the remaining strips of black cloth to wrap the "Fate-Hunting Knife" layer by layer.
After wrapping the knife in three layers from top to bottom, he finally felt safe enough to insert the Evil Dagger into his left-side leather belt.
After finishing this task, Lumian rubbed his temples, and despite his physical and mental exhaustion, he went into the room where the "Blacksmith" Monster had emerged and searched it thoroughly.
Apart from the stove Flames Burning, he found nothing.
Thus, Lumian's expedition came to a complete end, and he proceeded back with great caution and care.
No longer troubled by Destiny, he successfully left the Ruins, crossed the desolate fields, and entered his own two-story semi-underground building.
He didn't rush to bed. After leaving the room and putting away the "Fate-Hunting Knife," he rested for a while. Once his spirituality had recovered to the point where it met his needs, he began to dance that Absurd Dance in the bedroom, sometimes frenzied and sometimes Distortion.
He wanted to summon a strange creature from the surrounding area, have one of it possess him, and see what the negative effects would be.
After noticing the fear and awe that the Flame Monster, the Three-Faced Monster, and the "Fate-Hunting Knife" had towards the Black Thorn Symbol, he was no longer so afraid or apprehensive about having something possess him.
The Corruption he already had was far more severe than this!
Moreover, he is quite exhausted now and will fall asleep soon. Even if the possessing monster is unwilling to leave or has caused serious negative effects, he will recover after a day of rest in the real world.
"Is this what Aurora always calls 'cheating' and 'using cheat codes'?" Lumian wondered as he jumped.
As the dance intensified, his spirituality gradually spread, combining with some kind of natural force that was being manipulated around him, and radiating outwards in all directions.
Gradually, Lumian, who seemed to blend into his surroundings, sensed something entering the area.
He lifted his leg, stepped forward, and turned around. Without activating his "Spirit Vision," he directly saw three transparent figures appear on the bedroom Glass Window.
It's still the Skinless Monster, Shotgun Monster, and Mouthpart Monster.
It seems my inspiration isn't strong enough, or my rank is too low, so I can only "summon" them... Lumian didn't mind, and pulled out the Ritual Silver Dagger that Aurora had given him, stabbing a wound on the back of his left hand.
A drop of bright red blood quickly seeped out, but it did not spread around.
It condensed in place, taking on an eerie hue.
The three transparent figures outside the window suddenly became restless.
Lumian then used the Ritual Silver Dagger to pick up the drop of blood that looked like congealed blood, and with a few final dance movements, aimed the tip of the dagger at the Mouthpart Monster.
He was asking the other person to possess him.
The Monster with three Black Mark on its upper body opened its Whirlpool mouth, seemingly hearing Lumian's call, but it made no further move.
"Yes, the window is still closed, and the Monster in the Dream Ruins dare not enter my house..." Lumian roughly understood something, and following the rhythm of the dance, she half-leaped up and landed next to the Desk in front of the window.
He then reached out his left hand, opened the tightly closed Glass Window, and handed the Ritual Silver Dagger, stained with blood, outside the house.
The Mouthpart Monster not only failed to devour the drop of blood and enter Lumian's body through the Ritual Silver Dagger, but instead retreated seven or eight meters amidst the howling Wind Sound, hovering in mid-air, staring blankly as the dance continued.
"Hey, come on!" Lumian had already reached the last dance move, couldn't help but urge him on.
The three blurry, transparent figures outside the house drifted even further away, and when Lumian's dance ended, they completely disappeared from the scene.
"..." Lumian stared blankly at the scene, not understanding why the Mouthpart Monster was unwilling to possess him.
He carefully reviewed the entire process, confirming that there were no Error in his dance or the procedure of drawing blood.
"Could it be that it's Lingering Obsession that I killed it, and therefore refuses to possess me?"
"But the knowledge that comes with the ' Dancer ' doesn't mention this. Logically, it should be even more eager to possess me in order to take revenge..." Lumian fell into deep thought.
Recalling how the Three-Faced Monster ran away as soon as it saw him, he had a new guess:
"I am Corruption by Evil God and sealed by Great Ones. These strange creatures are terrified of me and dare not possess me at all?"
This is a very rare case, and it's normal that the Mysticism knowledge associated with the term "Dancer" is not mentioned.
Lumian thought about it more and more and felt that this must be the reason, and the more she thought about it, the angrier she became:
"You just watch me dance, but you're unwilling to possess me?"
"What do you call this? In Aurora's words, it's 'getting something for free'!"
To Lumian's dismay, this meant that the "Dancer's" abilities would be rendered useless before the "Contracted One," making it impossible to summon strange creatures to possess her and utilize their traits or abilities.
He could only console himself that perhaps only the strange creatures within the Dream Ruins acted this way, after all, they were closely associated with the owner of the Black Thorn Symbol.
"I wonder what reality will attract, and whether it will dare to possess me..." Lumian muttered, walked to the bedside, and lay down.
He glanced at the "Fate-Hunting Knife" wrapped in layers of black cloth on the cabinet next to him, and his mood instantly improved.
This is an incredibly powerful Beyonder weapon that can help him better explore the Dream Ruins and unlock its secrets. The only drawback is that it cannot be brought into the real world.
"I wonder if That One mysterious Lady can help take it out, just like she took the Potion and Ritual materials to the Dream Ruins..."
"But next time we explore the Dream Ruins, we'll have to trouble her to bring the ' Fate-Hunting Knife ' back again..."
"She definitely doesn't want to be offered help repeatedly like this; she's clearly showing aversion to trouble and a tendency to be lazy..."
With thoughts of books in mind, Lumian fell into Slumber.
When Lumian awoke, the sky was unusually dark, with only a faint red glow of the setting sun remaining in the distance.
This situation made him uncontrollably depressed, as if he had been abandoned by the whole world.
After calming herself down, Lumian left the room and went downstairs.
Aurora was busy preparing dinner.
"Are your eyes alright?" Lumian Past to offer help.
Aurora tucked her blonde Blond Hair behind her ear, turned her face to the side, and widened her eyes, saying, "That's about it."
Lumian looked into her eyes and saw that apart from some bloodshot eyes, there was nothing else unusual in her light blue pupils.
Aurora continued frying the lamb chops, casually asking, "Did you find anything in the Dream Ruins this time?"
Lumian then began slicing and cutting the next dish, recounting his ordeal in detail.
"That knife is indeed very powerful." Seeing that her younger brother was alright, Aurora suppressed her concern and chuckled. "If it were me, I definitely wouldn't name it ' Fate-Hunting Knife.' It's too straightforward and lacks depth."
Lumian asked curiously, "What will you take?"
Aurora chuckled and said, "I'll call it ' Fallen Mercury '!"
"Okay, from now on, it will be called ' Fallen Mercury '!" Lumian nodded immediately.
The name my Older Sister chose must be used!
Aurora chuckled.
"This name isn't really that great, but I only had time for it, so it was the only one I could think of."
"Yes, the behavior of those Monster further confirms our speculation. The Black Thorn Symbol on your chest, or rather the Corruption within your body, is not simple. It can suppress something of a very high rank that is closely related to That One Hidden Being."
"Perhaps the key to this Loop really lies with you."
"Hmm." Lumian nodded. "Now let's see what secrets are hidden in the Dream Ruins, and then patiently wait for the Twelfth Night."
So far, they have investigated almost all the anomalies, except for the Tomb Chamber where the Owl is located.
It was extremely dangerous there. Aurora didn't think she, Lumian, and the Three Foreigners could handle it. Their only hope was to get Madame Pualis's help, but she clearly wasn't interested in getting involved and just wanted to wait for that special moment to arrive.
Lumian spoke with little hope about how the dance to attract strange creatures was hindered by the two large symbols on her body, making it impossible to succeed. She concluded by asking, "Older Sister, do you have any ideas on how to bypass these limitations?"
Aurora picked up the lamb chop, pondered for a moment, and said, "It seems that asking 'gods' to possess me won't work. How about I try... a command?"
"An order?" Lumian's eyes lit up.
Aurora nodded slightly:
"Since those strange creatures fear the Corruption within you and the seal of That One Great Ones, then you should take advantage of their fear and directly command them to possess you. Hmm, use the Ancient Hermetic then."
"That's one line of thinking..." Lumian understood what her Older Sister meant by "borrowing the tiger's power."
