Watching Xu Le describe it so vividly, Bai Jing knew he was serious.
"Have you considered the possibility that some powerful Oddity is sealed here, and a reckless demolition could break the seal, let it escape, and get us all killed?"
"Uh... well." Xu Le scratched his head. That could happen too?
Bai Jing smiled and continued:
"Besides, we've already come this far and dealt with so many Oddities and difficulties. Would you consider the mission complete if we didn't go up? Even if you don't want to, do you think she'll agree?"
As she spoke, Bai Jing looked toward Gu Jianuo beside them.
Noticing someone looking at her, Gu Jianuo turned. She gave Xu Le an ambiguous smile and even waved at him.

Still, he understood that his idea of stopping the others from going upstairs probably wasn't going to work.
But he kept feeling that things weren't that simple. Hundreds of years had already passed. Did this so-called destruction and salvation still mean anything?
After inspecting the fourth floor, the team members returned to the stairs empty-handed.
Since they hadn't fought any battles, they didn't need any additional rest.
Xu Le followed in the middle of the group, holding his chin as he pondered.
"What should the ending of this town's story look like?"
They stood at the entrance, waiting for Bai Jing's order to advance.
"Let's go. Last stop."
"Yes."
The team began advancing toward the fifth floor. When they reached the landing, they discovered that there was a door across the corridor.
It wasn't some high-security door, just an ordinary iron door
