Shadow and darkness kept tearing at each other between them. Amid the struggle, Youjia and Xu Le fell together into the black mist gate.
Once inside the black mist, Xu Le felt a very distinct sensation of falling.
He kept falling, and suddenly he could see his surroundings.
Around him was not a void, but two vertical worlds. The one beside Youjia was light, while the world behind him was darkness.
Wedged between darkness and light, Xu Le and Youjia kept falling, but the space below seemed endless too, as though they would never reach its end.
"What the hell is this place..."
Youjia kicked Xu Le away and swam toward the light. Things had reached this point; Xu Le certainly couldn't let him go.
His body turned into lightning, and he followed Youjia at an even greater speed.
Youjia glanced back at Xu Le, surprise showing in his eyes.
"Elementalization!"
Then he turned and formed hand seals.
"Spell Formula-Earth."
This simple physical construction spell consumed a tremendous amount of Youjia's Spirit Energy. Blood even began spurting upward from his nose.
This was the result of overdrawing his Spirit Energy to the absolute limit.
