The Fox Demon's body was enormous. Even after three injections, it was slow to revive. After administering the injections, the Agency's trio had already left the tomb at their leisure, exiting through the opening at the back.
There was a stone staircase slanting upward there. They climbed a long way before finally emerging from a towering tree so thick it would take several people to encircle it. A large, brownish-black hollow opened in its trunk. From outside, all anyone could see inside was withered, rotting wood and roots, yet climbing out from within brought them here.
This was also the exit from the Demon Domain.
