Clouds and mist shrouded the City of Ten Thousand Immortals.

Seen from afar, the city remained hidden in a thick sea of clouds even in broad daylight. Supposedly, this was because there were too many formations laid out around it; the mist blocked divine sense and sight, shielding them from the prying eyes of evil spirits from the various realms.

After reporting in and receiving clearance, the flying boat roared through the clouds, and the young people visiting for the first time finally saw the city in full.

The buildings on the ground looked no different from those in other modern cities. With its high-rises and streams of traffic, it was about as bustling as an ordinary first-tier city.

What set it apart, however, were the floating islands of various sizes suspended above it, flat on top and tapering into cones of stone below. Some were only as large as a house, while others were the size of a village. They hovered at different heights, with cultivators rising and descending between them from time to time.

Many buildings on the floating islands followed ancient styles: Daoist temples, shrines, pavilions, and towers. Many of the cultivators leaping about among them also wore ancient robes with broad sleeves, as though they were cosplaying immortals from ancient times.

"Wow." It was Xing'er's first visit too, and she exclaimed, "So this is the City of Ten Thousand Immortals? Where's Boundary-Suppressing Mountain, then?"

"Boundary-Suppressing Mountain is the Supernatural Affairs Bureau's seat of power. Why would they put it out in the open? What if evil spirits from the various realms launched a surprise attack?" Perfected One Nagiko replied, pointing upward. "The mountain is deep in the clouds overhead, concealed by secret realm formations. You won't be able to go up until the competition begins."
