Portland thought for a moment, "You really shouldn't have asked me, because even if something did happen, I probably wouldn't know unless it's something I'm interested in."

"But I know that the Research Center project is proceeding smoothly, and even if the Church of Steam and Machinery is furious, it won't dare to vent its anger on this project."

Kronos nodded. Indeed, asking Portland that question was a bit tricky. They could ask Isengard later; that guy was a professional.

After chatting for a few more minutes, Kronos left.

Kronos began preparing for the second stop, which was Isengard's house.

As a renowned Great Detective, Isengard's house was relatively easy to locate.

Kronos had planned to ask him to do something for him today: help investigate someone.

Of course, the main purpose of this operation was to frighten Isengard.

Kronos used the Vampire Mask to transform into the face Isengard was familiar with, and then arrived at Isengard's doorstep.

A gentle knock was made on the door, and after a while, someone opened it; it was Isengard's Servants.

The Servants asked, "Sir, is there anything I can help you with?"

Kronos said, "My name is Klein. I have a request to speak with the Great Detective Isengard. Would it be possible to meet with him in person?"

After hearing Kronos's words, the Servants first led him into the Reception Room, then said, "Mr. Klein, I must first inform him that it is up to Mr. Isengard to decide when he is available."

Kronos smiled and said, "No problem, go ahead, I'll wait here."

Seeing that Kronos was so cooperative, the Servants was relieved and went upstairs to inform him.

Kronos looked around, but there was nothing particularly special about it, except for a rather jarring decoration on the ceiling.

Kronos examined it with his Eyes of Mystery Prying and confirmed it was an Beyonder Item. Kronos believed that Beyonder Item, placed here, must have some kind of function, such as detection or surveillance.

"I didn't expect Isengard to be so wealthy, possessing such Beyonder Item." Thinking to himself, Kronos waved at the decoration as if to say hello.

Kronos didn't know if this thing was a surveillance device or if Isengard was watching him through it, but if it was as he suspected, then Isengard must be in a real fright. As long as that effect could be achieved, doing some useless work didn't matter.

It was unclear whether Isengard was always slow in entertaining guests, or if he had noticed him and was trying to figure out what to do, but it took more than twenty minutes for Isengard to come downstairs.

As soon as he reached Kronos's side, Isengard said, "Mr. Klein, hello. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. I had some very important work to do, so I didn't come down immediately."

"It's alright, it didn't take long," Kronos said with a smile, glancing deliberately at the decoration on the ceiling.

Seeing where Kronos's gaze fell, Isengard's eye twitched.

Kronos's assessment was Error; the decoration was indeed an item that could reflect effects. Whether it could be considered Beyonder Item was debatable, as it could only be used for two or three months.

When Kronos first appeared on screen, Isengard felt that the person looked familiar, but he couldn't immediately place him.

When Kronos greeted him through this "surveillance," Isengard was not only shocked to be seen through, but also shocked to recognize Kronos, causing Isengard to knock over his coffee cup.

A whole cup of strong, aromatic coffee was dumped squarely on Isengard.

So Isengard wasn't actually researching any countermeasures; she was simply washing up and changing her clothes, which is why it took her a little longer.

That's why his eye twitched when he saw Kronos glancing at the "surveillance camera".

Kronos did this intentionally, wanting to see Isengard's reaction. But when he saw Isengard's reaction, he was relieved; it was clear that he had been tricked.

Once Isengard had broken free from that negative memory, he quickly asked, "Mr. Klein, may I ask about your commissioned task?"

Having achieved his goal, Kronos had no further intention of causing trouble and prepared to get down to business.

"Will Unsettin, I wonder if Great Detective Isengard knows this name?"

Isengard looked bewildered. "What's going on here? You just came up with this name and then asked me if I knew it."

Isengard was certain he had never heard the name before, so he shook his head.

Seeing Isengard shake his head, Kronos continued, "He lives at 66 Doughty Street in the North Borough. He's a little boy, and I'd like to hire you to help me get to know him. Remember, it's just normal inquiry, through ordinary questions and limited contact."

"You can do this task yourself, or you can send someone to do it, but I expect you to do one thing: that you do it without any malicious intent and without using any excessive methods."

That's right, this is the task that Kronos is going to entrust to Isengard.

There are already two Astronomer in the Argel Family, and I'm not far from it myself. I haven't yet found the Potion Formula to advance to the level of Mysticologist, but I do know the Ritual: to completely Analysis a drop of blood from a Mythical Creature and gain complex and vast knowledge from it.

Although there is Elf Blood in the family, the blood of the Wheel of Fortune Pathway is better, because it will be easier to become Sequence 3 "Clairvoyant" in the future than others.

That's why Kronos gradually turned his attention to Will Unsetin. He had no choice; could he possibly keep an eye on Ouroboros?

This task, well, it's not exactly difficult, but it's not an easy task either.

In the original story, Will Uncrestine appears to be a decent "person," though it's possible he's just kinder to Mr. Fool.

Therefore, Kronos did not go himself, but instead planned to go to Isengard.

Kronos possessed the Concealment of Time, and he felt this skill was quite effective, even capable of isolating him from the corruption of the Outer Deity. Therefore, he felt relatively safe as long as he kept this skill active.

The chances of Isengard being discovered are practically 100%, but it will be difficult for Will, the great serpent, to find Kronos using his occult abilities.

Let's at least try it first. If it really doesn't work, then we can consider using the Elf Blood directly.

This case is a bit strange, but as a Great Detective, Isengard has taken on countless strange cases, so this little oddity is no problem at all.

Moreover, Isengard himself wouldn't bother with such a minor task; he had a professional intelligence-gathering team under his command. All Kronos needed was intelligence, so he could just let them do it.

So the two quickly reached an agreement, signed the contract, and Kronos made an advance payment.

Isengard accepted the money with a smile and said, "Mr. Klein, don't worry, we're very skilled at this kind of task, and we'll get the results to you quickly."

"I hope this collaboration goes well. Do you have any other tasks you'd like to assign?"

There was a hint in his words that he wanted to see the guest out, but Kronos didn't care. He leaned back in his chair and stared at Isengard.

Isengard just stared at him, and the two looked at each other for a while.

Finally, Isengard continued, "Mr. Klein, do you have other tasks? You can tell me. I have a good reputation for doing things right."

Kronos smiled. "There's no more mission, but I need to talk to you about something."

Isengard was a little puzzled. "What's wrong?"

"I'd like to trade with you for 2-081, Mr. Eye of Wisdom."

This sentence completely stunned Isengard.

Isengard had been working very hard to hide his identity, but he never expected someone to expose him so easily.

Putting everything else aside, Kronos found Isengard's current expression quite amusing, so he didn't bother to say anything and just leaned back, enjoying the changes in Isengard's expression.

At this point, Isengard's psychological activities had already developed through several stages.

At first, he was completely panicked, his face turned white, and he was sweating profusely. The exposure of his identity Eye of Wisdom was not a big deal. The Loen Kingdom was still in a very peaceful state. Under such circumstances, no one would take his small, laid-back organization too seriously.

But what he's thinking now is, if they can uncover his identity, wouldn't they also be able to uncover another identity? That identity is a bit sensitive; if the government finds out, he wouldn't even know how he died.

So after the initial panic subsided, Isengard's face turned bright red, as if he were flushed with excitement, and there were even signs of a fierce glint in his eyes.

At this point, Isengard was carefully considering the feasibility of eliminating the problem altogether.

Isengard was somewhat confident in his abilities, but this confidence was only based on his Sequence.

Moreover, his strength was largely boosted by Beyonder Item.

However, he knew that the person in front of him was wealthy and powerful, clearly not lacking in money, and there was a high probability that he had more Beyonder Item than him.

So after figuring this out, Isengard completely lost hope, and his complexion turned from rosy to sallow.

His initially excited expression slowly froze, then gradually drooped, and he exuded an aura of despair.

Kronos, watching from the sidelines, was quite curious: how could Great Detective Isengard so many thoughts running through his mind?
