Falcon training
Philip didn't find an answer, but it certainly gave him pause for thought.
Kronos took two steps back, then ran and jumped, climbing the tree and "rescuing" the Sea Eastern Green from it.
Lacking specialized tools, Kronos could only put it in a cloth bag.
Since we're already on our way back, we don't need to pretend for too long, and there's no need to worry about any problems arising.
The return journey was significantly faster than the journey there. Although everyone was carrying some prey, there was no longer any need to look around for prey; they just needed to hurry on their way.
So they returned safely to Philip's Manor before Sun.
The other Hunter went to deal with their prey, while Kronos and Philip found the Falconer at the Manor.
Whether it's equipping or training falcons, specialized tools are required, so this professional is needed to provide them.
The Falconer was also surprised to see the Sea Eastern Green. He did not expect that people who did not understand the habits of eagles could capture such a magnificent eagle alive.
For an ordinary Hunter, shooting down an eagle is quite easy; a powerful bow and crossbow combined with excellent archery skills would usually suffice.
But to do it without damaging a single feather is a skill in itself.
So he asked in surprise, "Who caught this? I don't remember any of the Hunter you brought having professional falconry skills, and you didn't even bring a net. How did you catch it?"
Just as Kronos was about to speak, Philip interrupted, "Never mind that. We've caught it. You take care of it, then go with Kronos to his house and help him train the eagle."
Falconer are naturally happy to do this; who could refuse to have such a magnificent eagle tamed in their hands!
The next morning, after breakfast, Kronos left Philip's Manor with the Falconer.
Philip had originally wanted Kronos to stay with him for a few more days, but Kronos was still concerned about his Potion digestion progress, so he didn't want to waste too much time here.
Since that was the case, Philip could no longer insist on keeping him, so he let Kronos leave.
Considering that falconry requires sufficient space, Kronos did not return to Backlund City, but instead went back to his Manor outside the city.
It doesn't really matter where it is, because the two Blasphemy Card are always with me.
Upon returning to the Manor, the Falconer began preparations for training the falcons.
Falconry training is divided into several steps: Opening the Feed, Walking the Falcon, Hawk Taming, and finally, training the hawks.
The first Opening the Feed session begins with Opening the Feed the eagle. Eagles are very unruly and harbor great hostility towards humans after being captured. At this time, no matter what food people offer them, even if it is their favorite, they will never open their mouths.
The Opening the Feed is the foundation of all subsequent training. Its purpose is to teach the eagle that it is now following humans and will go hungry if it doesn't eat the food offered by humans.
The second step is "Walking the Falcon," which aims to help the hawk adapt to human society, to go where there are many people, to see more people, and to get used to the outside environment. Walking the Falcon is part of Hawk Taming, and for these few days, the hawk stays on the shoulder Evernight.
Next comes the process of "Hawk Taming, which is actually quite cruel. Just look at the word "taming"—the purpose is to make the eagle thin, with no meat on its body and in its belly. Naturally, the eagle will stop struggling. At this point, the eagle will no longer think about escaping or harming humans. It will only be thinking about the meat in the hands of humans, making this wild creature understand that only by following humans can it have food.
One explanation for this is that Hawk Taming involves staring at it to see who can't take it anymore. This isn't entirely true, but it does have some basis. During the Hawk Taming process, hawks, like humans, need to sleep at night. To keep it awake, the arm supporting the hawk must be constantly moving, which is an important way to wear it down.
After completing the above steps, the eagle's wildness was completely worn away. Wildness and Goodwill towards humans are inversely related; as its weight decreases, its wildness gradually diminishes, and its Goodwill towards humans increases.
After that, you can begin the initial training of the eagle, training it to obey human commands and perform corresponding actions until it can assist humans in hunting. At that point, the eagle is considered trained.
While Kronos himself didn't need to complete the entire process, the best results would naturally come from doing it personally.
Kronos's intention was to cultivate this Sea Eastern Green into Paranormal Creature, so naturally he wanted to achieve perfection, which meant he couldn't rely on others.
After the Falconer completed all the preparations, Kronos immediately abandoned the Scroll -making plan and began to devote himself to the falcon training process.
With the help of the Falconer, Kronos quickly got the hang of it, and the process was particularly impressive. Qing's training progress was especially fast; Qing was the name Kronos gave to the Sea Eastern Green.
Kronos had a good foundation: he had captured Qing himself. Although Qing's intelligence wasn't high enough to understand how it lost, it didn't prevent it from understanding that it had been defeated by this human.
No creature in this world is immune to the allure of strength, and submitting to the powerful is a perfectly acceptable thing. Therefore, Qing's affinity for Kronos surprised even the Falconer.
People like them, who make a living by catching and training eagles, have caught countless eagles in their lifetimes, and they've never heard of any eagle being so easy to train.
This is natural; how could an eagle caught with a trap or bird net be afraid of it? Kronos confronted it head-on and then captured it.
Therefore, the Falconer concluded that the falcon was definitely not captured by Kronos using ordinary methods, but he did not ask any questions because he remembered that Philip had stopped him from asking.
The entire process of Opening the Feed, Walking the Falcon, and Hawk Taming would normally take at least two weeks, but Qing quickly submitted to Kronos, and the whole process only took five days.
The subsequent training process went exceptionally smoothly. For a Sea Eastern Green that had submitted completely, following commands to hunt was a piece of cake.
During this time, Philip also visited the Manor.
The commendation ceremony was over, and his rare vacation was also coming to an end. He would soon be returning to his ship, and this was the last time he came to see Kronos before leaving.
The first thing he saw when he entered Argel Manor was Kronos holding an eagle, and as soon as he gave a signal, the eagle swooped down on the rabbit in front of him. The whole scene was incredibly cool.
After arriving at Kronos's side, Philip said, "I regret it. I should have kept one of these eagles for myself and trained it properly. It's so cool."
"Forget it, how could the heir of the Negan be as free as a nobody like me? Even if you had an eagle, you wouldn't have the time," Kronos retorted bluntly.
"I never noticed before, why are you so vengeful?"
Kronos hummed and said, "It's not too late to find out now."
A few days after Philip visited Argel Manor, Kronos returned to Backlund.
He brought Qing with him this time.
Although the urban environment is not very suitable for eagles to live in, it won't pose a major problem, mainly because the danger level is not too high.
While firearms were certainly abundant in Backlund, the range of firearms in that era was still quite limited.
As for those weapons that are truly lethal, most people wouldn't possess them, and even if they did, they wouldn't use them to hunt birds.
So when Kronos returned to Backlund, he kept Qing at home and didn't restrict Qing from going out to roam freely, but he also emphasized many times that it should fly higher.
Kronos actually wanted Qing to drink a Potion, hoping it would increase Qing's intelligence and make it easier to communicate.
However, the main reason for not doing so was that he was worried that Qing's wild nature had not been completely worn down. If he ran away, it would be a minor issue, but if he were to be ambushed unexpectedly, it would be a greater loss than gain. It was better to observe him for a while longer.
After settling Qing in, Kronos returned to his usual routine.
I get up early every day to go for a run, scout out Jason Beria's situation, and spend the rest of my time in the research lab, either studying the Frenzy Mage's skills or reading books on mechanical materials.
There was one change, though: every afternoon, Qing would fly in through the window and spend two or three hours with Kronos.
During this time, Kronos would also take some time to play with Qing and chat with her.
Although he captured Qing to train an Paranormal Creature as an assistant, he himself also really liked this magnificent "pet."
Every day, an eagle would fly into the Research Center building, and gradually everyone in the Research Center knew about it, and knew that Kronos kept an eagle as a pet.
The most outrageous thing is that Portland, who hadn't been here for about half a month, knew about this and even made an excuse to come over just to see what this eagle actually looked like.
Looking at Portland was excitedly petting the eagle, and Qing, who was resisting but dared not fight back, Kronos said helplessly, "If you like it so much, why don't you go and raise one yourself? There are plenty on the hill behind Philip Manor."
"It's not that I like them that much. These pets aren't really suitable for me; they could easily interfere with my experiments," Portland said with a serious expression, but his hand still rubbed the pets hard several more times.
"Do you see it affecting me? Once you completely tame them, they're very obedient and won't approach you without your command."
Then Kronos whispered, "And you can feed them Potion, which will make them Paranormal Creature. After that, they will become smarter and able to fully understand you, so they won't cause you any trouble."
